Was just exploring my moto e when i found this....
can any 1 plz explain me about this....!!
lte stands for long term evolution, and we commonly use 'lte' to denote 4G ... I hope this clears any doubt.. ?

That's got nothing to do with your Moto E...
It's there coz ur mobile operator supports it and maybe provides LTE in your region...
AFAIK Airtel is the only operator to provide LTE services, that too in 4 cities, Kolkata being one of them... :good:

I am on Loop Mobile (BPL) which doesn't support 4G and the option still exists.
I don't get it because the Moto E's hardware doesn't support 4G at all.
I guess the only logical explanation for this is that Motorola didn't remove the option from stock Android...

I'm very interested with Photon 4G, but i have one question :
Is Photon 4G really factory unlock or not?
Can i use at other country?
Cause I use gsm only, not cdma.
Thank's for your help.

Hi! Yes, the Photon is unlocked for GSM, UMTS, and CDMA outside of the US. This means that you can use it anywhere in the world where its frequencies are supported, except in the US if you are not on Sprint...
If you aren't going to use 4G WiMax, I suggest you wait for the Electrify on U.S. Cellular. It's practically a Photon without WiMax enabled on it. I am unsure though if it'll be carrier unlocked when released...

HI,
My Cousin is going to buy a droid Razr from Craigslist and send it to me here in india
I wanted to Know
1. He is going to buy a Droid Razr Verizon Lte phone will it work in india on GSM.
2. If not then any other Version that i should buy?
3. If yes then would i have to root it and then it would work.
I would really Appreciate if you could help me out.
Check out the frequency bands the Droid RAZR supports. Theoretically, it should work on CDMA networks in India. The LTE bands won't work (obviously) due to the lack of 4G LTE support in India. But Reliance and Tata Indicom CDMA networks should support the phone just fine.
Take Razr XT910 cuz it will support GSM as Droid by verizon is exclusive product for verizon network if u have to take their product then u need to break contract with them so to avoid complecations take XT910

Well, LTE is GSM-based. SO you should be able to. But yeah, the complications are a lot. Just get the XT910 then. Otherwise get it for CDMA, no issues with that. And don't worry about it being exclusive to Verizon, it can be unlocked locally.

Well That is basically what i want to know. If i go for LTE verizon can i use it in India.Anybody who is using it.
The Reason for me stressing on LTE verizon is Because My Cousin has got it for me.
So If there is nothing i cant do it then ill ask him to sell it again.
- Anyone who is using LTE VErizon in India?
Sell it. XT912 does not work on GSM full stop.

If you absolutely must have a RAZR, yes, you'll need to do just that.
I'd recommend buying a less awful phone full stop, though.

GSM support Verizone Droid Razr?
GSM capability of droid razr??
as per below link Razr support GSM networks.
droidmatters.com/news/verizon-confirms-global-gsm-roaming-coming-to-the-droid-razr-razr-maxx-htc-rezound-and-lg-spectrum/
does this conclude we can use it on GSM network like ATT or in India?

Been from Central Park & Down to Battery Park Sunday...so no.
Not to mention although they're in the 1st round, I haven't heard of any work being done yet.
Oh & root/ROM has nothing to do with connecting to it.
They have been testing towers and only certain keys have access. I have 2 ltes one gets 4g one doesn't. I'm in Chicago.

I don't even know how to turn on my LTE. Definitely shouldn't be working anywhere though, from everything I've read.

Depends on where you are...If you get lucky, you can catch a tower that is being tested, but this is not normal. They should not be "live", but upon occasion you can get one in the network vision upgrade areas.
I had one for about 35 minutes in central Wisconsin last week (and they still havent disabled WiMax after over a month). It just pops up and goes dark.
Something tells me the LTE towers are going to light up in quick order as the towers upgrades get finished in staged areas.

if I'm not mistaken, certain areas in Texas will be the first to officially have LTE when it is deployed. In the network settings, you have the option to either use 3G/4G lte or just 3G cdma. I'd switch to just 3G for the time being. WiMax will be around until the end of 2015 as Sprint still has a contractual agreement with Clearwire, their current 4G WiMax provider.

I got a Verizon HTC one M7 unlocked phone. I inserted the Tmobile 4G card but I couldn't connect to 4G or even 3G data network. Can anyone please help me. I spend like 400 bucks for the phone and its useless if I dont get this.
Do you have 3G and 4G Coverage at your place with T-Mobile? Did you try it at other places?
4G: Does the Phone support the bands your network provider is using?

From the HTC site: M7/Verizon: ... UMTS/HSPA 1900/2100MHz,GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz, LTE Band 13
So you need to check if TMOUS has 3G 1900 in your area. 4G is entirely out of the question.

I think 4G service on Verizon device even if you unlock them will not work on GSM sim card. Try hooking up your device on CDMA service and see what happen.
Did you change the apn setting?? And far as I know with Verizon they blocked most of the gsm signals so unless you flash a new modem no dice

You are wrong. HTC one UMTS/HSPA 900/2100, not 1900/2100. So it can't use 3G on AT&T or Tmobile

It's not uncommon at all to make different variants of the same phone for different networks. If the phone doesn't have the bands then no amount of flashing other things is going to make a difference.
Hello,
I cant seem to get a consistent LTE signal. Like my wife was showing LTE on her Note while mine was showing H+ . Just wondering what settings you guys have and if LTE works for you most of the time.
Thanks!
