[Q] Deleted Whatsapp Folder in phone - Need to recover the Folder ? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, by mistake i deleted Whats app folder( Folder which contain my whatsapp media file ) in my android photo , i lost all my photos, videos which shared in my whatsapp account..
Is there any way to recover those whatsapp media file ?
I tried with some recovery app , it show only other deleted file,, not showing my whatsapp media file,,,
actually i deleted the whole whatsapp folder...

If your device is listed in this tutorial you can try this to mount your device as mass storage and run Revuva fit example to recover your files.
I don't think your WA folder was on extsdcard, if this is the case you could give this a try (but also just if you own a Sony or Samsung device).
Good luck!

[Q]All gallery files disappeared

Suddenly all my pictures and videos disappeared. All Viber, Whats app, Screenshots, camera, downloaded - everything... Only new ones I take are showing. The files are missing in the folders too. I have two DCIM folders - one on internal and another on external drive but they are empty now. I tried File Explorer, ES File Explorer with "show hidden files", and I've checked all of the device folders, but I can not find any of my pictures or videos. I tryed with QuickPic - same sh**... If i connect my device to my PC the result is the same. The PC recovery soft which I test, found about 3000 files, and with all emoticons and trash there were my pictures but in very low res. So I tried Hexamob Recovery Pro (from the Play store), but the result was the same - about 12 000 junk files and some of mine in low res... The method with deleting all .nomedia files doesn't work. Than I've installed Undelete - This app found about 300 files, and these were all of the missing files, but when I tried to restore them, It asked for a license key... The free version could restore only pics...one by one... You can't select all!!!
So how to restore all my stuff without stupid apps!?
*my camera freezes often. "Could not connect the camera" appeares, and I need to reboot to solve this prob
Samsung GT-I9300
Android Version 4.1.2
Baseband I9300UELK1
Kernel 3.0.31 -Siyah-1.8.6+
AOKP Milestone -1 Jelly Bean
Omega v4.2
Where are these files stored (hidden), what is there extension? And why only Undelete can find the proper files with their full resolution!?
So, I found that Undelete detects files at DCIM\DCIM\Camera, but even with "show hidden " explorers does not see the second DCIM folder... Any suggestions !?
You can try
http://android-photo-recovery.com/tutorials/recover-deleted-photos-from-samsung-galaxy-s3.html
Or buy the Undelete licence .
Or read the multiple identical lost photos / files posts .

Thanks!
But I already checked similar posts, and stil can't find solution .. The soft that you recommended, resulting small images too.. The idea is not only to recover, but to prevent future problems of this kind.. I want to understand what causes that

Click to collapse
Try This:
1. WhatsApp stores a backup of all conversations in the SD Card. It can be accessed by doing the following:
1. Install a File Manager such as Astro File Manager, on BlueStacks
2. Navigate to sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases/
3. The message history backups are stored here. Click down on the file msgstore.db.crypt,
select Copy from the options that come up. Navigate to
/sdcard/bstfolder/bstSharedFolder/ and paste the file.
4. This file can now be accessed on the PC by navigating to
C:/ProgramData/BlueStacks/UserData/SharedFolder.
2. Now the messages can be accessed by decrypting the databases (this link tells you how)
I Don't Know That Whether It'll Work Or Not. [Do At Your Own Risk. ]
This worked for me
1. Explore your phone files on your PC, search for whatsapp messages in something like this: phone/whatsapp/databases
2. Upload the last created message database you found to your Dropbox or Drive account
3. Install file manager HD in bluestack (This App allows you to copy/delete files from SD and cloud servers/dropbox)
4. Make sure to uninstall whatsapp from bluestack before you do next step
5. In the file manager HD identify the database you upload in dropbox
6. Install whatsapp, before they ask your phone number do the next step
7. In file manager hd move the message file from dropbox to SDcard/whatsapp/databases
8. Put phone in whatsapp and it will ask you to recover messages, accept, and it should work
while updating the bluestacks whatsapp, i changed my profile name and now no old history is available... how to get my old chat history, Please help.
better idea is install file manager make a zip file of watsapp folder and paste it to /sdcard/bstfolder/bstSharedFolder/
find that zip file on your pc from C:/ProgramData/BlueStacks/UserData/SharedFolder and paste it in your phone and extract it to your internal directory and done

Whatsapp unfortunately has stopped fix!? Help after corrupt db repair ?

Hi I desperately need help... My WhatsApp unfortunately kept crashing until it deleted the msgstore.db which meant it deleted all my messages and media?.. I didn't have any crpyt12 backup files except the msgstore.db but it says corrupted?. I have used sqlite3 ( sqlite3 msgstore.db ".recover") command which I guess dumped some of the corrupted files from the database. I tried to use whatsapp viewer on PC and it shows my messages but when I restore the same database file in (/data/data/whatsapp/databases ) and open the app it just crashes or starts saying initializing and removes the database I added..
The recovered database from dumping the corrupt file and recompiling is Readable on WhatsApp viewer (for PC) and shows my Messages but whatsapp Application won't read the msgstore.db and keeps crashing if I put the recovered file in the /data/data/whatsapp/database folder (I tried permissions 660, 771, rw-rw--, rwxrw-)
I really need help in how I can recover these messages and put them back on the whatsapp App. Any help please I've been searching for 5days with sleepless nights but no one responds. I'm gladly able to try any way you think possible to recover my files??
