'Non Verizon SIM Detected' - HTC Droid DNA

I recently upgraded and decided to give my DNA to my gf(she's on T-Mobile). When she insets her sim card, it displays that 'non verizon sim detected' msg and it doesn't pick up the network.
When I gave it to her, I did a fresh install of NuSenseSIX-KitKat-Dlx_RC6.4_052414 and made sure it's set to 'global mode'. I also tried GSM/UTMS, GSM..
Am I supposed to call Verizon and ask them to unlock the phone(don't think so..)? Or is there something else that needs to be done?

You need to set your APN, if not using Verizon.

[Q] Overseas with VZW Galaxy S4 - Something to note..

I am here in Singapore with my Verizon Galaxy S4 and it is indeed unlocked, however, there's a small issue.
I picked up a pre-paid SIM card from Singtel. Inserted into the phone, was able to add the APN information. Get to the last step that says dial *363 to activate the SIM card and that's where the wheels fell off the wagon. Every time I dialed *363 (per the instructions on the SIM card) the phone kept coming back with an Invalid MMI code..
Eventually, the only way to activate the SIM card was to have the SingTel put the SIM in his phone and do the *363 to go through the process.
Anyone else experience something similar with a pre-paid SIM over seas?
I did not have this problem. I am using a prepaid SIM in europe (T-mobile de). I had to set the phone to GSM (or global), enter the APN info, and then dial the activation number. It all went well, without problems.

I wonder if it is the MMI code that SingTel uses. Anyway, definitely doesn't work for Singapore.

[Q] Cant activate rooted phone with *228

I recently rooted my phone with Casual's method. Everything went smooth on the flash.
Except I am unable to activate the phone through the verizon *228 method.
when I dial *228 it just says physically on the phone "A Verizon Sim card has activated your service and updated your phones roaming capability"
but then I got to call someone and it says I have no service.
I also transferred my service to my old Droid X while I did the rooting just in case that has anything to do with it.
Someone please help, at this point im about to return it to stock.

*228 is for 3G devices that have no sim. Thats what Ive been told and what ive experienced. Now you said no service, are you getting any bars or is it no bars at all. Have you tried going to mobile setting and toggling lte/3g mode. Also have your tried the hidden setting either by dialer and changing lte/gms/3g modes and then going back. Sometimes it may get stuck in a radio mode that doesnt get signal like in gms mode. I had been in the same situation and fixed it by doing the above.
New Sim card probably. That's your best bet

*228 is only for CDMA devices only, not CDMA/LTE. Your problem is that you activated a non-SIM device on your account after having a SIM device active. Doing so de-activated your SIM card, so you're going to have to go to a VZW store, or call VZW to get a new SIM to have service on your phone again.

[Q] Help! My Atrix won't recognize any network

This is an unmodified AT&T Atrix4G, which is supposed to be unlocked, but it was a warranty replacement and I believe it was carrier locked by the first owner, before ATR&T gave it to me. Last year, AT&T's unlock code didn't unlock it, and they and Moto both claimed to be stumped when we found this out last year. The phone did recognize AT&T NVMO SIMs, but would only say "network error" when I tried a T-Mob SIM.
So this week I went back to T-Mob, thinking maybe the phone IS unlocked but needs a T-Mob APN entered to work with a T-Mob SIM. Phone was working fine, and the T-Mob guy tried to boot the phone with a T-Mob SIM card in it. The phone asked for an unlock code, we put in the one AT&T had previously generated (and confirmed, no error there) and instead the phone rejected the SIM and said "emergency mode only".
Now, it won't recognize any SIM card, not the original AT&T card (AT&T also supplied a new card in case the old one was the problem) nor the T-Mobile. All it wants to do is boot to emergency mode, or ask for an unlock code again.
I've tried the factory reset cold-boot, that didn't help either.
The phone has just gone psychotic and doesn't like ANY SIM card. Is that nuts or what?
Does anyone have any idea what I can do to get the phone working again? With AT&T or T-Mob, I don't care, I'd just like it to work as a phone again, even if that wipes all the data from it.
AT&T's store, and their local "tech center", were both dumbfounded. They claim they've never seen a phone that just won't work, won't unlock, won't take any SIM card before.

Use Verizon S9+ on T-Mobile

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, I was looking to switch from Verizon to T-Mobile. I have an S9+ and my SO has a Note 8. Got the SIMS on the BYOD, popped hers in, it detected the SIM, restart, and bam. All the software and what not is there.
Pop mine in, nothing. Restart, nothing. No software, no settings. The device is unlocked (Verizon says all 4G are unlocked.) I get the "Sim card is not from Verizon." Am I missing something?
What a pain in the ass. T-Mo said I'd have to download all the software. Yes?
My kid has an S8, we got the Sprint deal, popped in the Sim, installed and setup without delay. Only my S9+ has drama.
Ideas?

Mine worked fine, it selected the TMobile apn on its own. Maybe you can go to apn and change to tmobile or add one?
I have the Galaxy S9 Plus U. S. Unlocked version. When I first purchased it T-Mobile was my carrier, I popped in the new T-Mobile SIM and everything set up automatically, I tried Verizon when I popped their Sim in everything set up automatically, currently I'm running ATT when I put my ATT Sim in everything popped up and set up automatically. So, maybe there's something wrong with your sim card.

lg k8+ x210 ulm unlocked carrier sim issues

I have an lg k8+ model x210ulm that i want to use with cricket. The phone is fully unlocked and will accept any sim from any carrier but has an odd behaviour that wont let me use my own sim.
I bought a feesh sim from cricket and when i put it in and set it up it will register with crickets apn and mobile network settibg. I get data and it shows up in the about network as connected and working. It shows cricket carrier in notificstion and i can get texts and even voice mail. But ........
I cannot use the dialer. Upon connection there is no error toast or anything it just imnedistely hangs up.
I can use my wifes my sons or my friends sims in the phone and after a reboot works perfectly. But when i put mine in it stops.
Also my sim works fine in any other unlocked device or cricket device.
Any clue as to wth is going on
Ok so after talking to lg and really that was frustrating. Why because the rep told me it the phone was carrier locked to us cellular which i knew it wasnt because its advertised as being unlocked and well us cellular put up an advert a few years ago stating that all thier phones are unlocked.
So after that i went ahead and talked to a rep at us cellular who assured me it was unlocked and checked the imei for me and sent me link to the advert about thier phones being unlocked.
Back to lg and got another rep this time who knew a lil about something but not much. Could not tell me any thing though.
Now back to cricket where we tested my girlfriends sim in my phone to which it worked and mine in her phone to which it worked. We put the sims in my aristo 2 and fortune 2 and both sims worked. But when i put my sim back in my my k8+(2018) once again every thing works fine but you cannot make or recieve phone calls.
We also tested the voice mail app and and thier what qualifies as a carrier app and it registers. The sim registers in about phone shows service and is connected. Shows the phone number every thing works.
Just not the phone Dialer app
So is there any one out there at all that has had an issue like this before. Any one that can help me figure out what the problem is. This is so crazy that my sim wont work and every one elses will.
Could it be something i did using dialer codes? Any cLues at akl
So here we are months later and im still having sim issues with my k8+ ulm. I ended up buying a brand new device and i tried my provisioned sim card with it not working but literally every other sim card works fine.
I have switched from cricket to assist wireless now who is run or what ever by sprint and i can get the sim card to work for a couple days before switching it to another phone but the main issue is that i get a error popup stating that the sim card has locked and that i need to power cycle and call customer service.
But i made a ton of changes by adding all the system apps from sprint including sprinthiddenmenu and any other apk that was on the tribute dynasty they came from. I also went through the file system and made any prop changes or any thing else that was needed to enable sprint.
At this point id flash a sprint modem but i cant find a cv1 device provisioned under sprint
