Hey guys.I'm running cyanogen mod 9 on my samsung galaxy s plus and I don't really like some stuff like the file manager.I have downloaded a gb backup of samsung's stock file manager but whenever I try to install it I get the error"app not installed".I have tried to put it ino system/app and reboot my phone. It is there but still I can't install or use it.Any idea how to fix this?I don't really want to reflash the gapps..Thanks.
are you serious..nobody?
Gapps has no file manager.
After copying the apk to /system/app, reboot into recovery, wipe cache/dalvik and reboot.
However this may not work if the app need some other files or is not compatible with you current ROM.
Better still, download a file manager from Play store.

Hi everyone!
Pardon me, I'm just new here, I signed up bcoz I'm losing hope now.
I'm having issue installing "some" apps on my phone. (some are installing)
I'm trying to install downloaded apks.
Searched and tried TS steps found online to no success.
TS steps done:
Restarted the phone
Clear Cache on the recovery mode
Clear cache on each application through setting>application manager
Clear cache using android assistant
Tried the MMI code *#9900# and deleted dumpstate/logcat
Deleted the "mysterious large file" .thumbdata
Checked and deleted some odex files
Checked and deleted files under android/data
Installed Lucky patcher (no troubleshooting option)
Unable to install logcat
Unable to search appslib or app-lib
Phone information:
Galaxy grand quattro
Not rooted, stock ROM
phone memory : 1.74GB/ 5GB
SD card 1.5GB/ 32GB
Running process (under applct'n manager): 662MB used, 219MB free
RAM status : 568MB/845MB
I can just reset my phone to factory default but that's just avoiding the problem, I would like to resolve the root cause of the problem. (without rooting the phone)
I believe that we can resolved this issue.
Thank you in advance.

First of all make your phone rooted (then only you can delete modify files) use odin to flah CWM recovery and install superSU with CWM, some apk need root access ( like lucky patcher, root explorer) then use root explorer and go to sdcard/andriod /data and delete only the files which are not working and then try to install them it will work.
Here is the link to rooting :

Help this what happens when i try to install driver
Have you checked root permissions using a root checker app from the app store?
Is superuser enabled in your supersu app settings?
Have you updated your supersu binary? I've had issues with that before, having root access, but some apps not recognizing it.
Have you tried installing a busybox zip from recovery (if custom recovery installed)?
Yup did that still does it
I'm having trouble with that also

Wipe it's cache and data, delete it, restart phone. Install it with a file manager into system/app and give it proper permissions. Restart. See If that works. I was having that issue on my other phone. You might try wiping davlik cache as well. I know for sure it will install properly if you relash the rom and install it before the first restart. Good luck.
Both display 'has stopped' / 'keeps stopping' errors. I don't know what to do! I've removed the app data, uninstalled and reinstalled the play store, but nothing seems to work. I can't use my phone properly anymore as I can't download or update ANYTHING!
I broke it. What do I do to fix it?
I'd prefer not factory resetting, as there's a lot on here I'd like to keep and I don't have a current backup. Titanium backup refuses to run also.

Try to go in to Recovery menu and do just "Wipe Cache Partition" , I think that your phone has a problem with launcher .
First download Magisk v20.4.
Then install it via twrp.
Download aptoide to computer.
Run adb install <your file directory> in cmd (or powershell and add .\ before adb).
At last open aptoide and turn on update for system apps, install beta apps and root installation. It will request root access.Grant the root access to it.Done.You can install any app on aptoide. If not on aptoide send the apk to me and I will upload it.
