What blobs would I need to pull from the device to build a custom rom for this device under linux?
Chipset
The devices that have Cyanogenmod already built that have the same chipset and are cousin devices are the Galaxy S3 i9300 and the Galaxy Note II n7100 with the smdk4x12 chipset.

Hi All,
I have a clone Samsung Galaxy Note II N7102,
That's chip MTK 6577, but I can't load the rom on it.
The error message is firmware & chip set not match.
Anyone know what is the problem?
The reason it is likely producing that error message is because Galaxy Note II ROMs aren't compatible with your phone. The Galaxy Note II uses a Exynos based chipset while your clone Galaxy Note II uses a MTK6577 chipset. As a result you need a ROM specifically meant for your clone Galaxy Note II.

Hello,i have Samsung Galaxy Trend(Ace IIx) S7560,and i want to know,is there a possibility to port official Samsung firmware from Galaxy Trend Plus S7580 which have 4.2.2 to my S7560 which have 4.0.4,because they are almost the same, the only difference is in cpu(S7560 have single core, and s7580 dual core)???
I know that the Exynos version don't have proper CM sources but do the Qualcomm version have them? The S4 does but does the Note3 or S3 have them?
Anybody?

According to wikipedia several devices will not work if replicant is flashed. Can you flash non free drivers so that all devices will work in combination with replicant?
Thanks.
I too would like to know this
Hello ,
I'm new in XDA as a member but not an new android user. I use Galaxy A5 (SM-A500G). I tried different method for porting custom ROM for it but it fixes on the boot. I found some tutorial on the internet but it is not working. Before this I used Mediatek device. It is quite easy to port ROM for it. But Quaocom is totally different.
Galaxy A500G is based on qcom 8916 snapdragon 410.
