Download Mode without Buttons - Android Development on Bada

Hello everybody. Second Time need help with download mode
First time, when i have Bada i Can put Wave 1 into download mode via pressing Port Search in Multiloader
But now i have OMNI Rom only (Without Bada) and cant get this ...
I know about JIG, but i want to try Without It 9 I havent got it now)
Any suggest: How?

Tigrouzen: remove battery remove usb hold dload key mode plug usb plug battery
Click to collapse
You could try every key(s) + USB cable...
USB cable power on Wave...
So you don't need Power key...
Good luck...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
Code:
Volume -
Lock
Power
or
Code:
Volume -
Camera
Power
or
Code:
Volume +
Camera
Power
= Download Mode
Code:
Volume +
Volume -
Power
Factory ... mode... blue green Screen...
Here depend on Settings in RC2... or Cable you using... you could switch into DL mode...

I havent got Camera and Lock Key )
dlmode key?

@adfree
yeah, i have Blue than Green screen. And what now?

dlmode key?
Click to collapse
Maybe key combination...
Check my edited post...
No Cam no Lock Screen = harder task...
Check:
Code:
volume +
volume -
power
You see blue screen... then stable green?
You can see some COM Port in device manager?
But your Android runs on Wave?
Or also here Wave not start?
Best Regards
Edit 1.
1.
If you have blue green screen... then check device manager for COM port...
1.1
Other cable... UART for instance....
1.2
If Android okay... you could try with ADB etc... to write RC2...
Check this about FPM = blue green...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48987854&postcount=16
2.
You could try other key combinations...
It is not mandatory 3 keys...
With USB cable you need only 2
On S8600 I need sometimes only 1 key... the middle.
No idea if S8500 can perform this also with 1 key...
3.
You repair/replace your damaged keys.
Edit 2.
If under Android ADB works...
You could try:
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
Maybe it activate Download Mode...
Not tested yet with S8500... chance is low...

Nothing on Blue screen ( No device )
Nothing on Green ( No device )
Android starts (OMNI ROM)
Only Android, No BADA
Edit.1
Try to run via ADB, give small moment
Edit.2
Middle button - Start Android ( Pressing and push USB )

Code:
Nothing on Blue screen ( No device )
Nothing on Green ( No device )
Blue Screen is Wave do something and is not ready...
Green means Wave finished and is ready.
Problem is... Standard RC2 parameter are disabled for USB... so more luck with UART cable.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47037737&postcount=34
Btw...
Maybe you are faster with sniffing Commands...
You could try any USB sniffer to check what is send to Wave if ADB Command is performed:
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
Middle button - Start Android ( Pressing and push USB )
Click to collapse
I have no idea which FOTA you are using...
But the first few and Rebellos stuff have the "bterm mode" in FOTA...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1298950
This is good as Download Mode...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26821111&postcount=29
Best Regards

I use @Tigrouzen fota from Zendrokat
I have 2 normal USB Cable only

In theory you could with Android and ADB...
For instance writing other FOTA...
Also you could ask @Tigrouzen if bterm is complete disabled in his FOTA or any key combo exists...
Sorry, no more ideas... all ideas are more then 1 click solution.
What is with ADB?
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
Warning!
ADB stuff could be dangerous for your Wave... easy to brick...
I have not tested this Command on S8500
Only successfully on I9001 to enter Download Mode from strange other Mode...
Last hint...
What exactly is damaged on your keys?
You are sure they are dead and not only dirty?
Maybe you can clean them... by open case...
Or check them...
Anyway, try to repair them...
Best Regards

@Tigrouzen have monit now and know about that
My buttons hmm..
Not dirty..
Because I havent got they
My friend tear off buttons when he change mainboard (on second i havent got Microphone)

Because I havent got they
Click to collapse
Maybe you should be more specific...
They are ripped from PCB/board ?
Or only plastic crap not in case...
If keys on PCB are alive... then try screwdriver or needle or what ever fits in this small hole to press key...
Look here...
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Samsung-S850...zer_Ersatzteile_Werkzeuge&hash=item233c10eeb2
You can press such keys also with fingers...
This is removed from your PCB ?
Or the plastic Button...
Best Regards

All is removed

it works for me with "volume - + lock button (first right button) + power (plug usb in my computer)"

man, you are just full of fail aren't you. 7 posts, and all negative. Willing to bet you go 8 for 8.
from the posted link:
METHOD 2: STUCK AT VIBRANT SCREEN:
(and are not able to use vol+ vol- methods to access downloader/recovery)
You will need the samsung ADB drivers installed for your phone as well as ADB...
ACCESS DOWNLOAD MODE
1) remove back cover and take our sim card and sd-card.
2) take out the battery
3) hold ALL 3 buttons down at the same time. (Vol +, Vol -, Power)
4) while holding down those 3 buttons put the battery back in
5) continue holding all 3 buttons until the vibrant disappears and reappears... once it reappears, release all 3 buttons
6) Setup ODIN and get it all setup and ready... (if you are flashing your phone via odin)
6) now connect your phone to your pc via USB cable
7) open a cmd prompt and navigate to the folder with ADB and type ADB REBOOT DOWNLOAD
8) Your phone will reboot into the download screen... go back to ODIN - A com port should now appear for your phone...
9) Click start and wait for your phone to do its thing
ACCESS STOCK RECOVERY
1) remove back cover and take our sim card and sd-card.
2) take out the battery
3) hold ALL 3 buttons down at the same time. (Vol +, Vol -, Power)
4) while holding down those 3 buttons put the battery back in

I never got the other methods to work, but this always worked for me. Pull battery, put back in. do not touch the power key. Hold the up and down volume key, then plug in the usb that is already connected to the computer.

[Q] Help - bootloop xperia p

hi, i'm the stupid noob that have bricked his friend's phone. now my siutation is:
no system
no recovery
no possibility to go on fastboot mode
Why?
Because after a full format (i have formatted /system /data /cache 'n /sdcard ), i've decompressed the .elf file containing the latest jb firmware, and then i flashed "kernel.sin" (in boot partition) and "system.sin" (in system partiition) via fastboot (i used fastboot because adb said me "device unauthorized") .
after flashing these files, phone is in a situation of bootloop, there isn't a recovery (because the stock jb kernel that i've flashed doesn't contain a recovery) and doesn't go on fastboot mode. The blu light is on but "fastboot devices" say me that the phone is not connected.
Any idea about a solution? many thanks and sorry for my bad english
Use flashtool

flash tool
thanks for reply. i tried it, but it don't work.
first of all, the device don't power off, it remain on SONY boot animation, so i cannot power off it as flash tool need. I tried to plug in the cable and press volume down when the device rebooting but doesn't work. please, can u tell me step by step what i have to do?
thanks man for the information, finally i discovered that if u long press power+volume up+volume down the device will power off. so i've powered off it and plugin in flash mode. resolved! many thanks
I actually dun remember bt there is a three/two Button combo that forces power off... once powered off.. u can easily achieve flashmode ...
I guess its power plus volume down
(M almost sure this combo is wrong bt someone else here can correct this)

Oukitel WP15 bootloop (maybe bricked)

Hello,
I'm going on again on my WP15 which is on bootloop after trying to put an magisk patched rom to obtain root.
The objective now is just to put a official factory rom (which I downloaded from the official website for the right model)
The problem now is not how to do that but how I can connect the phone to the computer because :
Assuming that the phone is connected via usb-c to the computer on usb-a and the phone is on.
1 The screen is black
2 windows connect sound
2.1 Com port connected (device manager)
X wait 1s
3 windows disconnect sound
3.1 com port disconnected (device manager)
2&3 x2
4 Screen on : On screen :5G oukitel logo + android logo + Orange state; devive unlocked[...] not trusted[...]; device will boot on 5s
repeat 1 indefinitely
Please Note :
That I do not have ADB access since I switched from w10 to 11 so the rsa keys are not valid.
The phone is stuck but when I say stuck, it's completely because button vol- + power = nothing, constant bootlooping and vol+ + power = the same schema (1,2,3,4) except that there is no wait time between 2 and 3, it's instant.
The phone is only off when out of battery, As soon as I connect a cable the phone turn on and I can do nothing except disconnect cable and wait (Can be very long with an 15000 mAh battery...)
There is absolutely no custom bootloader so no twrp or any custom recovery/installation bootloader.
With that... I think it's definitely bricked... I'm already thinking of soldering a new rom (or asking someone to do for me)
If you need more details or precisions tell me !
Thank you in advance !

seems you missed the most important thing what I've said - ignore any phone activity, just hold.
use this for flashing https://spflashtools.com/windows/sp-flash-tool-v5-2208 I've used 5.2134, lower versions not support mtk6833. and do not use 6.+ versions.
again:
- install mtk usb-com drivers (by manual of flashtool if you did not do it yet)
- check at firts only boot.img and vbmeta.img (do not use "format" only "download")
- power off phone (if you can't, plug your phone in pc and click "download", it'll throw error with suggestion to disconnect battery, but phone would power off. if this didn't help, then just skip this point and try to continue anyway)
- unplug your phone
- click "download" button (yes while your phone unplugged)
- on unplugged phone, hold both volume buttons and hold power button too (three buttons at once).
- hold it all >15 seconds (20 for sure) and ignore any phone activity, just hold.
- release power button only (keep holding both volumes)
- plug your phone (still keep holding both volumes)
- now flashing process must start and you may release any buttons.

Hello,
Sorry, I was not very active since this post and I abandoned for a very long time.
But ! Your instructions was good and I finally got my phone back to life !
Since then I realized that the Oukitel brand is very sketchy about theirs ROMs on the Oukitel website because the WP15 model is associated with the WP13 ROM on the download center so... WHY ? this is so confusing because now I have a WP15 advertised ROM (From a website... Yes... I know I was dumb to do that) and it's working yes... but this is very buggy for example the gyroscope is crazy or my MAC address is never the same even if I turn the built-in MAC address spoofing option off...
I will do some research just to get my phone as normal by doing it as clean as possible because I know now what is implying for doing that.
Thank you so much for your patience and especially for your guide and I apologize for my dumbness.

have no idea what are you talking about.
just checked in dl center on oukitel official site and seems all is ok. wp15 have it's own fw page and redirect to correct dl fw page, wp13 have it's own.
you can't mix up fw, in case wp13 signed exactly as wp13:
v318a-oq-s88-128g8g-bom2-hdp-r0-cts-eu_OUKITEL_WP13_EEA_V12_20210731_user_20210731.tar .gz
wp15 have no direct sign, but it have a cpu defenition:
TF919_OQ_S89_6833_R0_EEA_V1.9.7.2_S211014 .zip
i.e. mt6833 aka dimensity 700. wp 13 have a dimensity 800 aka mt6873
nb, in dl center, fw tool seems not works properly, so you must use a flashtool as I'd referred before.
I've tried everything, for 5 full days, then had no option left but to give up. Sorry.

Sony Z Ultra - C6883 Unable to get into fastboot mode

The phone has been in the drawer for quite a long time (5+ Years)
I come to try flash root to it and it wont boot into fastboot. all that happens is a black screen and nothing else.
ADB reports it as being there till it reboots ( 'adb reboot bootloader' ) , when the phone reboots its a black screen and if i plug in a usb lead then i get the standard windows was unable to recognise this device. ( Attached is a device manager Grab of it )
I have tried to use Flashtool64 (latest version) it reboots to the same black screen. The only way then to get it back to a usable phone is to unplug the lead and press the power button till it vibrates.
I have spent 10+ hours reading and reading everywhere and nothing that has been suggested has been succesful.
This is my last hope ( I realise its a 10 year old phone) and am hoping someone can help me sort this out.
Many Thanks in advance

Tried that.i have spent a very long time on this. Starting to get to the point that the phone is poop. And needs to be binned
To confirm the functionality of the equipment.
Can you transfer files from/to phone in adb mode?
Yes, the device problem only happens when it reboots to bootloader for fastboot access. I think bootloader is corrupted . Can't flash new one without boitloader/fastboot access. Well that's my understanding
What about flashmode?
Flash mode:
1) Connect the USB cable to the computer (do not connect it to the phone yet)
2) Turn off the phone
3) When the phone turns off, plug the USB cable into the phone and hold the Volume Down button
4) The phone should boot into Flashmod mode!
Your Xperia Z Ultra should be in Flash Mode now and the device’s LED light should turn into Green
Fastboot mode:
1) Connect the USB cable to your computer (don't connect it to the phone yet)
2) Turn off the phone
3) When the phone turns off, plug the USB cable into the phone and hold the Volume Up button
4) The phone should boot into fastboot mod!
Your Xperia Z Ultra should be in Flash Mode now and the device’s LED light should turn into Blue

Same. Even EMMA doesn't work. Which was a suggestion. Or flash prog (used old and new) all seem to reboot to bootloader/fastboot which has same error as stated.
The usb vol down with plugging in usb / power on doesn't work either.
neither does the vol up + power / usb
ammended to clarify
when powering up/vol down i get a short vibration, then it boots normally. pressing vol up + power gets black screen.
usb + vol Down does nothing, usb + Vol up also does nothing
I am thinking that the phone is not booting into a software that 'tells the USB what it is. Th OS boots fine tho and it sees the phone and can xfer to and from the phone
