Can't seem to get viper 4 android working I Uninstalled it from a system app to a self installed app (as directed in viper forum) but it just won't fully install the driver or the driver doesn't stick. Here's the message I get every time I open app (even after installing driver and rebooting)

@MichaelCampos Do you have busy box? Also, just to be sure, you are rooted right? No offense meant or anything, just ruling out everything.

Yeah I'm rooted on PI v7.1 , as far as busy box goes I'm not sure if it comes standard in the rom . Also, no offense taken
*edit* I can confirm busy box is working I just reinstalled it go be sure

Which version of Viper are you using? I have 2.3.3.0 and everything's working great. When it asked me to disable LPA I picked no.

Download terminal emulator from the android market.
Run the following commands:
\n <- this means i want you to press the enter key on the keyboard.
su \n
(grant it root permissions)
busybox \n
(after hitting enter, tell me what happens.)
after hitting enter in terminal emulator this came up

So we know busy box is working.
I'm guessing you have already removed and installed again with a reboot in between? That would be the next thing to do. Also ensure it's getting granted root permissions.

Can't install it from the market, even though it's listed as compatible.
Anyone else have this issue?
my markets had problems downloading all of my apps when i flashed a new rom. did you google restore? i just had to clear data from the market app and everything worked just fine after
It's the only app I have an issue with.

I tried that, didn't work either.
Edit, I moved it from the external SD card to the internal one and was able to install it.

I hadn't had an issue with installing mine. Perhaps try clearing data (of the market app).
I actually just installed it roughly 10 minutes ago with no issues. I'd suggest restarting your phone and trying again as well as clearing market data to see if that resolves any issues. Have you changed any build.prop information or anything? Also, are you under wifi or using your mobile data? Sometimes if the data connection isn't stable it can cause download issues.
No problems here.
One thing to note - if you installed SetCPU from the APK on XDA, you will NOT be able to update it via the Market, as the Market is unaware of the "Free for XDA users" aspect of this app.
I have seen the error that you had with downloading before, and it occurred when I had another "Free for XDA members" app installed (BetterBatteryStats) and tried to update it via Market.

Does it works?
I'm trying Indirect's rooting scripts, running Windows Vista 64-bit. I can get the drivers installed with no problem, and get my Tab into debugging mode just fine. However, when I go to run nookandzergy.bat, I get this:

}
Any ideas or help?
Thanks!
P.S. I tried posting in the main thread, but it says I have to have more then 10 posts... I think this makes 12. I usually lurk, can you tell?
By any chance, did you right click the batch file and selected "Run as Administrator?" If so, try to just double click the batch file. That's what I ended up having to do for my Win7.

One person I was helping with this problem before, he did not have "C:\Windows\System32" in in his %PATH%.

What the hell? I went to the command prompt, typed in "path c:\windows\system32", then went over to c:\ntroot, ran nookandzergy.bat....
And it worked! Thank you so much!

I did, as part of the root process. I'm at work right now, or I'd just run it again. I'll do that anyways when I get home, and we'll see what happens.

1. Check your APP, should have a SuperSU with a "#" icon.
update it from PLAY store, it should become a "super Android" icon.
2. open it and check new version binary libary update. setup notification mode.
if that not work for you. try search a flash-able version SuperSU to flash.
then with ROOT Explorer or File manager HD, you can mount /system as writable.
check the file manager HD setup, you can click the 2 checkbox.

That mean you do not gain root permission.
Install busybox from PLAY store and update its binary then try again.

I made a zip to that installs S Health all its dependencies so that after reboot, the app will work even after you've set up your profile. It successfully installed it for me, but I need someone on MDK who has never had or uninstalled S Health to test and see If it restores S Health and its dependencies. You can test if Sensor service is restored by making sure walking mate detects your steps (see image below)
You can download the S Health restore zip here
Edit: Forgot instructions
1. Make a back up
2. Flash zip in recovey
3. Wipe cache/dalvik
4. Reboot

Hey so Ive installed both the apps. Fx and the other one. It asks me to update the drivers, but I don't know exactly which one to use. I chose cortex a8 neon. For both. But it says I don't have root and busybox. I do have both installed. I know super user works just fine. Because when I first opened the apps up they ask for permission. Which I granted. And I changed my build prompt like the post says in android development. I tried again and it reboots the phone, but it asks again " in order to use this app u have to update the v4a drivers " can someone help me out
Am I using the wrong rooting app ?
