With it's first release on July 16, 2014 FingerSecurity is the first app that allows an owner of a Samsung device with a fingerprint sensor to protect their apps with their fingerprints.
FingerSecurity allows you to protect any app with your fingerprint. FingerSecurity has many options to make your life easier and more secure.

***FAQ***
- Why is my device not supported?
FingerSecurity will only work on Samsung devices with a fingerprint sensor. So your device is not a Samsung device or your Samsung device does not have a fingerprint sensor.
- A notification is asking for a backup password. What should I do?
This is a security feature from the system(it is not a part of FingerSecurity but from Samsung’s firmware). When you scan your fingerprint too many times without identification then the system will block the sensor and ask for your backup password. The backup password was specified during the registration of your fingerprints(this might not be the same as your alternative password for FingerSecurity). You have to enter your backup password else you can’t use the fingerprint sensor.
- I can’t remember my backup password.
Unfortunately there is no way to reset the backup password. The only solution is performing a hard reset.
- FingerSecurity uses a lot of battery after updating.
Please restart your device. Then FingerSecurity will work normal again and the battery usage will drop.

Few things I noticed are that it doesn't always open my apps after I swipe, just goes back to homescreen.
And setting timeout just closes the security app but only when I try to delete the numbers ..

But you can also scan your finger imediatly then it procceses it in the background without the popup.

i would like you to add wifi lock/unlock feature. i would be nice not to have to unlock the app when i am at home

It's all good ! Here's my suggestions :
+ In the app selector menu, please make the possibility to sort between protected app and unprotected ones.
+ Make tab that separate between services and apps. Because i have a list of apps including (baby monitor, adapt sound, airwakeup...) for sure i don't want to protect those and they make the app list very long.
+ If you can make the protection interface less harsher that would be great. Like in the paranoid android rom, you can have the app blurred (Add an option for amount of transparency ?) so we can't see what's going on it, and have the protection layer in top of it. The transition then will be much more soft
+ I won't mind another logo and another name.

If you press the back or home key you will be send to your home screen.

Ah right. I misunderstood your first post. That would be useful for those apps that are running in background while using wifi. No need to unlock when activating the app from task manager or drawer. :good:

Hi folks,
I am using PAC but my question is related to Halo, which isn't exclusively available on PAC (obviously).
I just want to know if anyone else has had this issue?
I have Set halo up in Whitelist mode and have whitelisted a few apps. I have also added the same apps in the Halo management app. This way I get notifications from and the ability to open any of these apps in multiwindow.
All other apps word fine. If i click the Halo icon to a specific notification, it opens up in a floating multiwindow. Same with if I use the drag right or left function to open an app directly...
Facebook however, when I click the Halo icon to open a notification, it opens full screen. It does open floating using the drag right motion however.
Anyone else had facebook issues with this?

Please let me know if you do. I'm on dirty unicorn on evo lte with same problem. It worked at first. Then it would work after a reboot. Now not at all.
What is the drag left/right thing? I don't know how to do that.

Then when you swipe sideways on the halo icon, it scrolls through all the apps you have added. When you come to rest and let go, it opens that app in floating window (as if you'd had a notification)...

See each of the ) ) ) is an app I have added. Above I am swiping right, but resting on the first app (also indicated in status bar). If I let go now, tapatalk opens in a floating window.

I'm tried several SGS3 rom: Paranoidandroid3.60, Dova(?), the latest Dirty Unicorn.
For some reason, the filter (blacklist/whitelist) doesn't work.

Whitelist works on PAC. You know you have to tick apps in android settings, apps, app name, whitelist for HALO?

I think there is a general problem with facebook framework/animations. I am no expert in order to describe it accurately. But here's my story:
As I've already posted in the past (I didn't get any answers), i am using a multitasking app to switch between running activities. This app comes with a bult-in transition animation when switching from one app to another. Every single app works perfectly with the animation, except of facebook and skype.
Also, notice that when you long press the home button and the multitasking bar appears if you click to open facebook, the window immediately fills the screen, while the other applications have a little animation effect filling the screen gradually.
Recently, I flashed a rom with halo support and I experience the same issue as you describe. I do not know if the two things are related to each other, but I think that somehow the facebook app has it's own "rules" about animations and fullscreen stuff.

Oh, i forgot to tell you that this happens only when facebook is in the home page (recent stories).
If you open facebook on a profile page or a group etc, then the animations work perfectly.
It is really weird to be honest. But it happens with every single rom that i've tried. So i think it is facebook's problem.
Can anyone verify whether there's a difference in the Facebook halo behavior depending on where you last left Facebook?

Yes, I tried this for white list and the reverse fur blacklist.
Basically, I want to exclude a constant notification from Halo but it didn't work.

I'm still torn between getting a Note 3, Z Ultra and potentially the One Max...
I don't want to start a fan-boy style mine is best others are rubbish session, each has pros and cons for me otherwise I wouldn't keep changing my mind... BUT:
One key factor for me with the Note (and now even more with the Note 3) is the multi-window and now the small apps windows capability.
Now from youtube videos I have seen the mini apps function available from the running Apps screen. But from what I have seen, it only allows for one of these at any time. But I also remember reading that this was going to be enhanced and that multiple apps would be possible.
So, does anyone have any more info on this, anyone able to confirm if any such functionality has been introduced with the most recent software updates ?
At the moment, my ideal device would probably be something like :
Z Ultra Body finish, Screen Size and Waterproofing.
Slightly rounder corners, Smaller bezel, removable battery like Note 3.
Speakers and Fingerprint reader off HTC One Max.
Permanent hard buton and/or capacitive buttons like Note 3/One Max.
Camera from Note 3 but with Ultrapixels and OIS from HTC.
Sounds a bit non Ultra, but these are not all equally weighted and the Big Screen & Waterproofing would carry a heavy weighting for me...

since you are being particularly helpful, would you be able to answer a slightly different question ?
I need to enable password lock due to company rules. I'm trying to determine what can be operated with the password still enabled. i.e. what's possible quickly if n a hurry. I know the camera is available, I was wondering if it is possible to launch a quick note taking app etc. from the standard lock screen (with password enabled) ?

Looks like such functionality needs some tweaks. There is already an Xposed module to bypass lock when opening apps from notifications in lockscreen, but IDK if bypassing lock from lockscreen widget is already implemented somewhere by someone.

I use an app called Unlock with Wifi https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benhirashima.unlockwithwifi&hl=en
What that does is remove the screen lock requirement when you are connected to certain wifi networks. So you could negate the need for a screen lock pin when at home and at work and still require it when out and about.
Or you could just install xposed and disable the exchange lock completely. I personally don't like that idea though.

I just found that app setting module in xposed can do exactly this! Haven't tried it but from the description it should. There's a "show when locked" option that can overlay the app on top of your lockscreen so you can fully access the app w/o unlocking. Safer than the unlock on certain wifi alternative (but hey, bypassing lock is never safe) - but this solution only works IF the app itself provide a lockscreen widget so you can access the app w/o unlocking in the first place.

A few notes
-the app list needs time to load but you are not showing a loading icon. At first I thought the app was broken, but when I clicked 'launch app' a few seconds later it showed up.
-why are you using gingerbread drop down list?
-if you don't need the v4 support library (which is included automatically) you should remove it and your app size will go down by 200 kb

i will rework that soon. as this is just a preview, i didnt focus much on the settings activity yet.

Also why don't you use a preference screen and make each one a list preference? (PS it's now deprecated but works)

I don't know. Check your ROM Settings, since i don't have any haptic feedback on my statusbar.
When I disabled your module, there is no haptic feedback but once enabled the haptic feedback is there. Anyways great job man!

You are right. When i enable haptic feedback in my settings, i also get a vibration on the statusbar.

Did wait for a few seconds? After 10 seconds the list loaded for me. (after the 10 seconds you have to choose a different options for the list to load)
I love your module. It would be super awesome if you could add some in-app action of your own; like scroll to top, page up/down etc.

I'm using m8 ARHD 8.1 and I had to unistall the newest version and install version 1.0 and it was working again for me.
You'll only be missing the ability to turn off haptic feedback for now.

I have uploaded a new version, which should fix this. (Still no haptic feedback-feature for you yet though, sorry. i have to look into it more)
Springboard Settings allows you to customise the home launcher (Springboard), enabling/disabling and rearranging the pages on the screen. This allows you to customise it on the watch, rather than having to use the Amazfit app on your phone, and also allows for the removal of the China-only pages on the PACEfied ROM, without the need for the Chinese Amazfit app. As well as this, you can customise the order as you would in the phone app, and it's also compatible with custom pages

Usage
Simply open the app and scroll through the list. There's switches for each item to enable or disable them, and long pressing an item will allow you to drag it around. Changes are automatically saved and take effect on the launcher immediately, closing the app will show them
Whilst the app tries to get the current order correct, it's sometimes not perfect. Relaunching it or rebooting the watch sometimes helps.
Warning: The state of the sport launcher (usually displayed on the left screen from the clock) can be changed in this app. Whilst it works, and disables the page, it causes glitches and bugs in the launcher if you do. You're welcome to just deal with this if you don't want the sport launcher (called gpx-recorder/SportLauncherView in the app), hence why it's not simply hidden, but it's not recommended

How it works
The launcher saves and reads the layout from two system settings: springboard_widget_order_in and springboard_widget_order_out
springboard_widget_order_in contains the main list, ordering and state for each page - but doesn't always contain all pages (not sure why). Editing this setting is how this app works, and the setting is in JSON form
springboard_widget_order_out contains the full list of pages, but whilst it also contains values for state and order is not used for loading. The app uses this to read any other pages, including custom ones (which I can currently get to show as blank pages with no content - more on that when I get them working)
Great app, even better customisation than the phone app (I turned off sports and put timer in its place).
I do have a minor bug to report though. The app failed to load a list of widgets then crashed the launcher on exit the first 2 times I tried to run it. I think I kind of know why.
Whenever I install a new app on the pace (I use apkinstaller) the widgets all return to their default order. I can fix this by going into the phone app and toggling any widget off then on again (the phone app retains my custom settings).
I get the feeling that the config file for widget order is getting deleted/altered when I install an apk and that's whats causing the problem.
After using the phone app to fix widget order your app works fine, but I can imagine this bug could be a bit of a roadblock for some people.
Nice work, please keep up! Cross fingers for custom widgets!

confirming that it works on Nicola's StratOS 1.0 based on 2.0.7.5 rom - cannot move the activities to the other side of the actual clock, tried to place the weather to the left of the watch, still remains on the right.

Yup it doesn't allow that, appears to be hard coded into the launcher. Shame, because I would have liked the left side of the clock to be an app launcher and the right pages to be normal, so you don't have to scroll all the way to the end to launch an app. A custom app drawer page would make this better, then it could be the first page on the right...

Great! I will do when I'm on my PC, and probably update the app so it shows a message with instructions if it doesn't find the setting. I had that come up once during testing but thought it was caused by the app not saving correctly, but obviously not.

Some android wear launchers have been ported to the pace. I have "Quick Launch" installed. It allows you to pull down and app list by swiping down from the top left corner.
This does a pretty good job of giving you quick access to your apps. But it would be very nice to be able to customise the order of apps in the app list.
I noticed something else that's a little odd. You cant scroll to the left from the "sports" app. So if you move the sports list from the left most position to anywhere else, once you scroll past it you can't scroll back. You can still just hit the home button.

Would it be possible to put a save/restore option in the springboard app?
This would mean that after doing an initial setup and save, you could use the restore option in springboard to restore your widget layout without needing the phone app.

What is Edge Sense Plus?
Edge Sense Plus was initially just meant for the HTC U series. It let's you customize the squeeze action and adds some more squeeze gestures and features.
But with the Pixel2 and Pixel3 also coming with a squeezable frame I found a way to make it compatible too.
Since google locked active edge down to just only be able to start Assistant it will require a device rooted with magisk
Requirements
You need to run a STOCK based ROM, because Active Edge is broken on AOSP roms.
You need to be rooted with magisk to use it.
Install the Active Edge System Mod Magisk Module from the MagiskManager Repo and the EdgeSensePlus from the playstore and you are ready to go!

How does it work
To make it working on the Pixel3 I had to modify the SystemUIGoogle.apk that runs the ElmyraService (Service that processes the squeeze gestures).
I intercept the events and pass them to the EdgeSensePlus Application that starts the appropriate action then that you selected.
Some more adjustments were made, so the squeezing also works when you are in immersive mode, camera or when Google Assistant is deactivated/uninstalled.

Per app actions:
With the per app action, you can define different squeeze actions per app. So the chosen action will be executed dependent in what app you are currently are.
Double Squeeze: (Premium)
If you often accidentally trigger a short squeeze, that won't happen anymore if you map your desired action to the double squeeze gesture.
You can define a double squeeze interval, to ensure you are quick enough to trigger it every time.
Long Squeeze:
Missed a long squeeze action on your Pixel? Edge Sense Plus has it!
G-Sensor usage: (Premium)
If enabled, will be able to execute different actions depending on the current position of your device, whether it is flat or upright in your hand.
That way you can have six different squeeze gestures: short, long, doublepress in flat or upright device position.
Media control:
The media control will override your set squeeze actions while media is playing so you can control your media.
That includes play/pause, increase/decrease volume and skip to next and previous track.
Squeeze sounds:
Ever thought it would be funny if a squeeze of your Pixel3 would make a sound, if it is a *click*, *oink* , *fart* or whatever you think of?
You can use any .mp3 file to make that happen!
Sidebar:
The Sidebar has 4 different panels, Applications, Shortcuts, Recent Apps (Premium), Quicksettings (Premium).
Panel colors are customizable

You must be on at least Oreo 8.1 to to be able to use it. Root with Magisk is required since the magisk module is mandatory!
It is recommended to have a working TWRP backup in case something goes wrong. Check the FAQ for help too.

A: Yes, it will. The Magisk module is multi device and version compatible. There is a separate thread on the Pixel 3 XL forum. though
Q: My device bootloops after flashing the magisk module.
A: Ensure you are on the latest Pixel 3 OTA. To get out of the bootloop, go to the magisk thread and install the magisk uninstaller and then reinstall magisk again.
Q: The magisk module zip is greyed out when I try to install it.
A: I have no explanation why it happens for some. Install a FileManager like SolidExplorer or FX File Explorer, then Select that File Browser in the System File Explorer to select the path

Enable the root toggle at the very bottom. It'll unlock some more action, one of them is "Camera" and it will take a photo, if you are within the camera app.
If you are not, it will start the camera app first, then you need to squeeze another time to take a picture.

There is a little bug after switching to it, that dialog is empty. Close the app completely and remove it from the recent apps screen and it should work.
Will fix that bug later today though.

Mine does it too at times...when I go to app premium is gone.

The above post is a bit missleading, since he purchased on the Pixel2 and installed it now on the Pixel3. The Premium Version is per device though.
Once you are premium on a device, it will stay premium.

Curious as to if the premium version being per-device is a licensing limitation or a personal decision?
I only purchased it on my Pixel 3 and have the issue. Sometimes killing the app and restarting it will bring back premium

Put so much time into this app and also a lot into the magisk modules for the Pixel.
Unfortunately limited to a small userbase since it needs root and the app works just works just on a couple devices, since it is tied to the squeezable frame.
Just trying to fill the vacation saving for my family a bit and a new baby seat for our 2nd son.
I'm really not mad at anyone though pming me and asking for a free premium key if they bought it on the Pixel2 already.
Already did that a couple of times today.

No need for justification, just curious as I am working on an app with some IAPs and wanted to know more about your setup. Wasn't sure if there was something different due to Magisk, etc.
Keep up the good work! Long squeeze for killing the foreground app and toggling the flashlight on screen off are enough to justify the purchase for me!
