I have a droid razr xt912, facing weird charging problem.
I got it from ebay.
1. Original Motorola charger - not charging
2. HTC original charger - Not charging
3. Duplicate charger - Charging.
On USB ->
Mass storage - Charging
Camera mode - Charging
MTP - Not charging
Device details - >
Android 4.1.2
system - 98.72.16.XT912 verizon en us.
Original charger works when device is fully Dead (white lite)
Do you see a constant white led? because that means no enough power/voltage,
mine works with any 5V // 0.5mA, 1mA, or 2mA

Hello!
I put my SGS2 for battery charging on an old car charger of my previous MDA Vario [Qtek 9100] using a JIG (which shall also serve as an adapter from Mini USB to Micro USB).
(On the charging cable (CLA-500-01/MDA Compact) no output values are given!)
The SGS2 spontaneously switched to full screen display of the table clock.
Neither sound nor charging icon could reliably be heard with this method.
- The original Samsung charger has 5V 0.7A output.
- A 'Travel Charger' (SDL4116) - NoName Charger for MDA - 5.5V 500mA
(with this device, the SGS2 behaves just like the original)
- The car charger which came with a car mount (for SGS2) has 5V output noted.
Now I had the SGS2 with the original Samsung charger again stuck on the wall.
I noticed when touching the device a slightly higher temperature.
I immediately stoped the charging process.
The battery indicator (battery settings) show 100%.
No acoustic signal for full battery!
Due to the heating of the device and the absence of the "fully charged battery" beep I have the vague feeling that somehow the internal loading control might have suffered from my 'cable-experiments'.
Yesterday I flashed the kernel with a CF-Root.
Being this responsable for the disappearing of the charging beep would be new to me.
Now I have removed the battery and posted this topic here as a precaution
and to obtain some advice.
Would it perhaps make sense to reset the battery stats with CWM?
Hello.
I need your help.
I've my Sony Xperia P since a week.
Today I noticed that the Xperia P is not charging on car charger.
While the charging flash appears, after navigating the device has less power than before. I started with 91% and at the end i had 83%.
I thought the problem might be on the charger and've tested two other cables.
In all three cases, the charging icon appears, for a short moment it comes a message "please disconnect the charger to save power" (Same which comes when full charged with the wall charger) and the battery continues to discharge itself .
Durring the other tests the Batterie went from 82% to 71%, and 71% to 59%
I tested a Motorola charger 5V 850mA, an HTC charger 5V 1000mA, and a Noname charging cable 1200mA 5V
All three chargers have work on my previous phones Motorola Milestone and HTC Sensation, aswell as on devices from friends like a Samsung S1 or a Motorola Razr i
My questions are now, you have these problems too? How do I get XP loaded in the car? Which car charger do I need? Or what settings I have to do to make the existing equipment work?
Or maybe this is just my device that is not in order?
I'm still on the latest stock rom, bootloader still locked, just rooted.
Thank you for your answers.
Greetings
Eismaus
Interesting, I never get the "please disconnect charger" message.
Have you installed any battery related apps?

No, no Battery Apps installed.
Hi, please stick with me a minute!
I was gifted (elderly, but usually savvy aunt) an early droid razr after battery fail (and verizon replacement to a newer phone).
I was given an XT912, with 98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US installed.
Also: cable marked: Motorola Data Cable SKN6428A 12150-0403532 and
double usb wart, folding prongs: SPN5689A 11268-C6-0821306-13D1 DC4050US0305.
It would only run when I pinned an USB cable directly to the battery terminals.
Battery would not charge, so I ordered another.
Now, new battery is in, and it will run from battery (still open back).
Wall wart/cable shows NO indication it is charging - white LED blinks on insertion (often starts), and that is it - no other lights, no charge icon, no charge text (Battery applied voltage does not change.).
USB to to computer shows no lights, DOES show charge icon, DOES show charge text (I can see battery applied voltage go up a bit with meter).
Is this all normal?
Is it the right cable for wall and USB use? Was there only 1 in OE box?
(I'm very suspicious because this cable/wart WILL charge my N7, but not this droid razr.)
Is there a special cable for wall wart? Pinout?
(I tried re-flashing existing OE rom, same results.)
THANKS ANY AND ALL!
OK, I flashed a couple of more times, and now I get a steady white light on wall/usb insertion, still no charge icon, no charge text.
Is there supposed to a (while off) charging screen? After short push?
THX
If your phone shows white led when you plug wall charger or usb cable via pc it won't charge or turn on your !
Here is a trick for all motorola xt912, xt907 i have check on both working.
Go to setting >about phone>status battery status shows not charging now
just plug your usb cable in pc take micro usb side in your mouth and make it wet (its not a joke) and insert in phone port you will see status change to charging (AC) . Its working for me about two ago and i am sill charging my phone via this method.
As the title indicates it doesn't charge via wall, but usb charging works perfectly , even file trasnfer.
What I've tried so far:
Factory reset
New battery
Changed 3 chargers, 2 of them were original - they work on other phones
Clean the usb port on my phone
Also when I have it hooked on wall, one battery app I have shows that there is some usb connection on the phone, but it still won't charge. Any ideas? Running 4.1.2
anybody guys?
