Hello,
I got a problem with my device Galaxy tab 2 10.1 GT-P5113 . it downloads the new firmware, reboots but fails to install the firmware and a massage pops up suggesting to update using Kies.
I used Kies several times, it detects the device, connects to it, downloads the firmware and then device gets disconnected while Kies try to install the update but obviously it does not do it because the device is disconnected. .
Tried several things, uninstalling Kies completely, re installing,, reset device to factory and tried again but nothing worked.
Can someone help me please???

PHONE:KE2
CSC:KE2(INU) Indian version
new update has
PDA:KE3
PHONE:KE4
CSC:KE3(INU)
but when download complete via kies , it not abe to update as it says failed to convert in upgrade mode. any one having same issue? any one has here offcial indian version upgrade ? please provide me link for offcial rom for this update.
i have the same problem
first go to the firewall and make kies connect to net
and when you start kies start as administration "right click and run as administration"
or you can update through odin.

You need to make sure that usb debugging is off. That being said, Kies sucks big time. If you want to use Kies try the wireless version seems to be a bit better.
There's a update to Kies available. I went to use it last night & a big update came through ?
Phone not syncing to kies in the 1st place!!
My phone doesn't want to connect to kies, it's written connected on the phone but still gives the connecting to device msg on kies on the PC, kept waiting and waiting, but nothing!
I tried with usb debugging method, the storage medium could be read. But no way with Kies!!!
What's wrong?? Please advice me what to do?

As has been suggested try the wireless version also make sure the phone is connected before you open Kies.
Is there some setting in your phone preventing Kies from connecting.
I've only got my S2 a few days so I'm not really into it yet.
I find that Kies is very very slow in connecting.Seems to take forever but it was quite fast over Bluetooth.
I'm also havin same problem but in my case I cant upgrade firmware via Wifi...
Actually I lost my data cable (though ordered a new one today) but yesterdar a new version of kies came and when connected via wifi ... the upgrade firmware window popped up...
but when I tried upgrading it downloaded some components (Preparing firmware ...) and then on my phone I saw tht its already disconnected n after a few sec an error came up (in kies) saying "FirmwareUpdate has stopped working" .... Interestingly kies application keeps running after this error but disconnected... I've google a lot on this but no luck (I thnk most of d ppl pref to upgrade it via usb and not wifi) ...
Also tried reinstalling kies and "factory reset" phone but no avail.
Plz help as i deadly need this upgrade (as my battery's draining very heavily on wifi.. may be this upgrade improves smthng... )

Kies shows theres new update available for my phone but when i click on orange UPDATE button nothing happens. My phone does not go in download mode, kies don't show any notices, installation progress bars, NOTHING!! Just kies don't respond. I already uninstalled and then again installed kies but again the same problem. My phone: Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100G with stock rom but custom kernel and laptop with windows 7 home premium x64. Please Help.

Just flash a stock rom through Odin, it does the same job as kies only faster, you can find a stock rom here.

I am using official android 2.3.6 firmware on my galaxy s2.
whenever I connect my phone via usb, the touch screen doesn't react to the touch.
I am also having a problem when I am trying to update my phone to the
pda:lp7 phone:lpa csc:lp9 version of the firmware.
I am using Kies 2.3.2.12064_9.... when i connect the usb the screen on my phone become unreactive and when i try to update the firmware.. it shows that the updater is not responding...
please help me out...i hve tried it many times but i am nt able to succeed in updating the firmware..

My problem is as following:
I have Galaxy Tan 2.7 GT-3113 suddenly the WI-Fi stopped working. it hang on "Turning on"
i tried hard reset and factory reset wiped caches but no luck. after some search some post suggested that it is SW bug and i should update the Android 4.1.1 to the new on 4.2. I tried all ways but my tab is not recognized on any computer. i tried different cable and different computers still the same issue. i tried to install cm.10.2 via Manual mode but of-course it failed signature. i could not root it because i have no connection via usb. i connected Samsung for a firmware img installable via manual mode but they say they do not support this way.
can someone help me?
So i just bought a galaxy s4 yesterday. I rooted it with towelroot and i tried to install a custom recovery, but i completely forgot to unlock the bootloader. It said it had unverified software or something like that on it when i tried to turn it on and i tried restoring using odin and it didnt work. i got it to the point where its sometimes in a boot loop when i use odin and sometimes it says "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again." Ive tried using kies so many times and all it does is say "connecting..." Ive tried using different cables, usb ports, and different versions of odin and nothing is working. I heard that installing a stock rooted rom works, but i can only find a zip for it, which odin cant flash. ive installed and reinstalled the drivers so many times and ive tried kies on my mac too and it wont detect my phone. please help i just bought this phone.
