Trusmart Sudden Death problem - Ornate TrueSmart

Hi ,
My Omate Trusmart ( US 1/8 GB) suddenly stops responding ( Black screen). It stays the same until i pull off the battery.
I did factory reset it couple of times but still the problem persists. Any one else faced this issue , whats the solution ?

Your battery is most likely exhausted. Have you tried charging it up?

Known issue - random black screen of death. I've only had it happen once. You can clear it with adb reboot, I think.
I disabled quick boot after it happened, it's not happened again, but peopel say this isn't a fix.

Thanks.. adb reboot is better than pulling off the battery.May i need to develop some app that would listen to a long key press of power button and restart the watch.

Added to Xposed Additions, both my mod (link in general) and official. (Not sure if it works, have not seen the black screen when I have used this.)

I developed a app that takes a phone no as input. If your watch blacks out , then you call your watch from this phone no and that should restart your omate.
http..s3.amazonaws.com/sts-misc/rebootOmate.apk
( This would work only for rooted omate watches)

I an a little bit confused plEASE help
yesterday my live with walkman got switched off automatically and when I tried to turn it on nothing happened ............... after that I.opened it and re inserted the battery and now its working fine......... I am a little worried and want to know that is this some hardware problem , software defect or something else it.has happened only once ......can you please. tell me what us the problem is this some serious hardware problem or battery problem or something else ?????
plz help mine is an uprooted live walkman !!!
plz help ????
It was probably only a display problem. Maybe it didn't show anything but the phone was working fine. It can happen sometimes.
Worry about it if this happens again. Probably it switched off dut to depleted battery.
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
h
maybe its just a normal minor and not harmful error . but you could open it again and its working fine i think its not an issue
reply
it was not battery discharge it just turned off and and when I re inserted the battery it started working normal !!!! I think it might be due to memory card or some sim problem but plZ experts help me out
Let me repeat that: I think it was not shut down. Simply, the screen stopped working. So you thought it was shut down. And of course trying to turn it on wouldn't work, since it was already turned on.
Removing the battery forced the phone to shut down, and the screen started working again after turning it on. This also happened to me once.
reply
it was not that because on pressing the the lock key and home key the lights of touch buttons did not turn on plz hep !!!!!

Ok. Whatever. But then, what kind of help do you need? We all told you not to worry, unless it happens again.

i justvwant to know that has this thing happened to someone else ??? and what exactly could be tthe problem ???
This sometimes happened to me when I switched to a custom kernel (KrSH) and overclocked it to 1.2GHz. Noticed it happening after opening a few different apps or while receiving a call, but I can't duplicate it myself using controlled actions.
Might be helpful telling us what you were doing on the phone when the abrupt reboot happened.

[Q] [Q} Problem with screen

I am running cm-10.1-20130715-crDroid-build10-i9300 for some time now & all working fine.
Viewed a few web pages, youtube videos etc & then I locked screen.
When pressing either "home" / "power" button to wake phone the screen flashes & goes blank again ( I can see the numpad to enter screen lock code, but only briefly --- split second)
I have tried rebooting phone, taking battery out & reinserting, etc with no success.
The phone still receives calls but I can see nothing on the screen.
Is this more than likely a loose screen connection / a display drv issue / what could it be ?
Thx in Advance

before confirming it is a hardware problem just try to flash different rom and try whether the problem still exist.

Unfortunately I cant even see recovery screen/options.
When powering on (even with 3 finger salute) Samsung logo flashes quickly & screen goes blank.
Really hoping not a HW issue .... but beginning to look like it.
Really strange .... working fine one minute, next minute problems
If it does the same thing in download or recovery then it's most likely a hardware fault.

boomboomer is right .. sorry to bring you bad news but its a hardware issue.
Yeah, I was thinking the same
Do you think they will still replace screen/motherboard etc, even though it is rooted ---- or do I have a coaster for my coffee cup ?

If there is a high replacement cost .... time to move to S4.
Thx Guys .... I will let you know what happens.

[Q] Galaxy S3 getting stuck in sleep mode / Locked.

I'm currently having this issue and it's really frustrating, I had it first on the Galaxy S3 with 4.2.1 stock rom, I don't know if it might be an app that might be causing this, basically when i lock the phone the screen turns off but then when i press the power button or the home button to turn on the screen it does not do anything, I know the phone is still on because sometimes if i get a text message i can see the blue led blinking and it will continue to blink even when it's frozen.
The only way to bring it back is by holding the power and home button together in order to reset it.
I tried factory reset and it would not work, I flashed the phone with a custom rom for Paranoid Android 4.3 and it worked great for about a week, no issues at all, but then it started freezing when locked again. I hate this and i'm thinking it might be a hardware issue since I've tried different software versions.
I don't know if it might be an app that might be causing this, basically when i lock the phone the screen turns of but then when i press the power button or the home button to turn on the screen it does not do anything, I know the phone is still on because sometimes if i get a text message i can see the blue led blinking and it will continue to blink even when it's frozen.
Even worst, if i'm listening to music and i lock the phone or if the screen times out and locks when i try to unlock it i can see it's stuck but the music is still playing....
Also, if the phone is stuck and i try to call it, it will not ring not turn the screen on, it's not like the problem is just the physical buttons, i don't know what to do since the phone is out of warranty, I have never dropped the phone and there is no damage on it, it have never over heat either so i don't know what can i do.....
Any suggestions or help would be really appreciated.

But it's really strange, It is a hardware issue and it should affect all the time, not randomly i would think... I don't know if the problem is with the processor or the buttons, i don't know how to determine that..

The first week with Paranoid Android 4.3 it worked greatm even faster than the stock rom and I also liked it because it is android 4.3, the issue started one week after, and i'm thinking that during the first week i did not install all the apps i use, once i installed all the apps it started happening.
The first time i had the issue was right after the facebook messenger app was updated, i tried uninstalling it and the issue was still happening, if i check the running apps and i can see several of my apps running in the background such as Facebook messenger, Viber, Skype, Avast (6 services) Applock, GO weather EX, whatsapp, Facebook.
Maybe i'm just reluctant to think that this is a hardware issue, cause there is no way for me to get some logs or a hardware report that may show any crashes or anything.. I like this phone, it have everything i need and i refuse to think that it's a piece of crab but i've had nothing but troubles with it since day 1...
I dont think it is SW problem because even flashing multi package stock firmware doesn't fix the issue.I tried replacing lcd and display driver but still remain unsolved.
Edit:I think there is a defective sensor chip which I don't have a unit to test already.
hello, i have same issue, and stil stuck with it, anyone can help me?

Gear S freezing in a loop

My device has done it to me 3 times in about a week. It's trying to load watch face (watch face is empty, with default date 23 and 3 notifications), then switches to some random menu item, shows previous loaded watch face for a moment and go back to default watch face. Reboot and reboot with recovery don't help. The only way to make it working again is reset device from menu, but it takes some time to go through settings->reset gear->ok, because gear s lives its own life in described loop and stops responding each few seconds. Is my unit dead or maybe is it a common issue?

Samsung S6 Edge Touchscreen is slow to the touch

Hello Everyone. I have my new Samsung S6 Edge about 3 weeks now. It worked flawlessly the first week and a half but lately I've been getting an intermittent problem with the sensitivity of the touchscreen and it is very annoying. I have to swipe, touch a letter (if texting), or touch an icon, multiple times before it will execute the touch. Sometimes it seems as if it is in slow motion where the execution responds 4 to 5 seconds after the touch. There has not been any new software added and I always close out of any running programs.
I have tried all of the following to which none had any effect:
a) Restarting the phone by using the on/off key dialog box
b) Shutting it down for a couple of minutes and starting it again
c) Using Samsung's method to restart the phone by holding the on/off key and down volume key simultaneously
After a day and a half of frustration I was ready to take it back to my mobile supplier when it all of a sudden starting working properly after checking to see if my phone volume was at the maximum volume by hitting the up volume button. It worked well for about 3 days and then started to do the same thing. So again, I played with the volume down and up buttons until the touchscreen sensitivity worked.
I'm currently having the same issue again which prompted me to post this message. Playing with the up and down volume keys seem to help it at a ratio of about 7 out of 10 times. I've searched the web but haven't found anyone else with the same issues. A look at the Applications Manager under Running apps, System is taking up 1.1 GB, Apps taking up 530 Mb, leaving 0.99 GB of free memory.
Any suggestions? Maybe I should be taking it back for a hardware replacement?
Thanks for listening.
OK, so now I've come to the conclusion that hitting the volume up key was just a fluke although It seemed to help sometimes. S6 touchscreen returned to normal again yesterday afternoon. It just comes and goes which makes it rather difficult to show a mobile technician. I'll have to wait until it malfunctions again before taking it in to a Samsung Repair shop.
Me too....
I have subscribed to this thread, in hopes of finding some clues, because I too, have noticed the same exact behavior that OP described and was searching for a remedy/explanation. Also, had the volume up and seemed to somewhat fix it, but like OP said it is sporadic. I, by accident in trying to clear the cache, completely blew away my phone and had to rebuild my phone as I had before and even after a complete reset, I still have the same behavior.
Hi Chris, I stumbled across another interesting behaviour. While the phone is acting up, if you press and hold the UP Volume key (keeping it depressed) you will be able to scroll and press icons as normal. As soon as you let go of the volume key, the issue continues.
This is a link to a video I uploaded today to You Tube that shows exactly the issue I am having.
w w w .youtube.com/watch?v=vkfaxILs4VQ&feature=youtu.be
Just saw your vid, looks like yours is more pronounced than mine (non-Edge btw) and happens once in a while and then it goes away - I am hoping it isn't progressive. I can't seem to identify what triggers the sluggish behavior. I typically clear all apps from the recent apps as a matter of my normal operation in all my previous smartphones. When I notice it the most is when pulling down the notification center and either nothing happens or I have to pull down the shade all the way down for it to stick, otherwise it slides back up.

for me it's much better..still think it's also the memory problem..as around a half day all is fine..than the lag starts..
Took the phone to a Samsung Repair Shop today. Turns out the LCD display was malfunctioning. It took them 1.5 hours to repair and replace under warranty. Hopefully I won't have anymore issues with it
