[Q] Truesmart not charging! - Ornate TrueSmart

OK. I know this has been discussed many times before, but I can't seem to find an answer. I have tested the cradle extensively with digital testers and probes, the problem is not with the cradle nor is it with the contacts on the back plate of the watch itself. The watch just randomly refuses to charge no matter what the voltage of the battery is. The only way I can get it to start charging again is to pull the battery for a few minutes. the only thing I can think of at this point is it's some kind of software bug. it's happening more and more frequently, the battery is currently at 97% and it stopped charging again, popped the battery for a few minutes put it back together and bam! ... charging again! This is so frustrating anyone else had this specific problem? and again let me reiterate, it is not an issue with the cradle or the back plate of the watch.

Weird dock bug

Hey guys, just thought id post this to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue, no matter how long I leave my dock charging for, the max charge % it gets to is 97, the tablet part of my prime still goes to 100, and generally i leave them both in together charging. Anyone else had this? Anyone found a solution to this
Also! my dock sometimes randomly (rarely) locks and doesn't work until i unplug it and replug it in (I only decided to add this because it happened while i was typing the above text (sorry if its been brought up before >.<)
I have the Prime and dock. I have never seen those problems. I hope you figure it out.
Same issue
Same thing happens to me.
The same seemed to happen to me a few days ago being that it charges to only 98% and stops charging the dock. I decided to use much of my tablets battery before leaving in the dock to recharge from it's power cells.
after that my dock was left with around 65%+ at which I plugged it back in the wall socket to charge and it charged back up to 100%. Don't know what happen, but maybe some sort of battery charging behavior?
Anyways just thought I shared. Now its back to charging to 100% again.

A116 Charging issue

For past few days, I'm facing this strange problem that the phone doesn't charge beyond a particular limit, and sometimes at all. When I plug in the charger, it displays 'Charging' but the battery level doesn't go up. I tried few things to understand where's the problem:
1.) I changed the charger and used the other ones (700mA, 500mA, USB charging with PC) and they worked well for a while, although slow charging, but afterwards the issue re-appeared and phone stopped charging even by them.
2.) I changed the battery, thinking it's a battery issue. The one that I got from a friend charged perfectly well with my own MMX charger for the first time, but now it's giving the same issue again and not charging beyond a particular level, say 40%, which will eventually come down and it won't charge at all.
I'm confused as what kind of problem it might be - hardware issue with the charging socket, charger/USB cable issue, or a firmware issue? Has anyone faced this problem till now wherein the their phone doesn't charge, even though it shows 'charging'? Please share what did you do to resolve it. I'm currently located at a remote place and cannot visit a service center.
how old is your device? if it's more than 9 months you might have to replace your battery. you could find it on ebay.

[Q] Will not boot, flickers quickly

Hello. My wife recently dropped her S2, with enough force to eject the battery. It had worked after she put it back in and all, and even called me to tell me about it. However, the battery ended up dying before she plugged in it. When plugging the phone into usb, the button lights would flicker and the battery charging icon would flash on for about a second. Rinse and repeat. If there is no battery in the phone, it just flickers the buttons, and the screen will flicker back, and just do it over and over.
The USB port on it was already really shoddy, so I bought a new ribbon and replaced it. Same symptoms. Pretty sure this is a hardware problem, although what the problem is exactly I do not know. I've already reseated all of the ribbon connections I could find. There's obvious signs of previous water damage, but it looks like very old damage. I wouldnt' be surprised if something is corroded, but the timing of this happening after it was dropped makes me think something else came loose. I just don't know what. I could potentially try to reflow the motherboard with my heat gun, but before I waste my time doing that, I was wondering if there's _anything_ else that could be causing these symptoms.
Thank you.
Over the 2-1/2+ years I have been reading this forum, I have seen a number of cases reported where the battery discharges fully and then will not recharge in the phone, while the phone exhibits symptoms similar to the ones you report. As far as I can remember, in every case the phone would boot up when a fully charged battery was inserted. And once the battery was charged, phone would then recharge the battery as long as it was not completely discharged. Not all phones behave this way. For instance, I have fully discharged my phone on several occasions without issue.
Therefore, I would first try inserting a fully charged battery to see if the phone boots up ok, and see if it will charge with a partially charged battery. Some have had to buy an external charger just for this purpose, or borrow a charged battery from another phone, etc.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I will try to find a battery. I do have a question though. If the battery was the cause of this, should the phone not act like this if the battery was not inserted? I would expect it to boot up just fine with the wall charger plugged into it without the battery in it, but that does the same thing (minus the battery icon).
Thank you.
I'm just not sure the answer to that. I can't remember if anyone mentioned that, although as I think about it, it seems like someone mentioned that as well. Still, I think this should be the first step in trouble shooting, because if this is the issue, and the phone is otherwise fine, then you don't want to be using a heat gun on it, or any other more difficult steps until you have eliminated this possibility.
Also, you might consider sending the phone out for repair if this step does not solve the issue. Assuming you are in the USA, Mobile Tech Videos is a very reputable shop that can deal with many issues.
You may be correct on this. The battery won't even charge through the external charger (my atrix battery charges fine on it so the charger is good). New battery (even though this is new) it is.
Update: The pins on the battery were labeled wrong. The label wasn't placed in teh correct position. I looked up a pic of another battery and found the label was offset by 1 pin, so I offset the charging pins by 1 and bam, it started charging. 50% charge, popped in the battery, and boom, booted right up.
Thanks creepycrawler!

[Q] Battery doesn't charge

Hi, I had no issues with battery or battery life but all of a sudden the battery stopped charging even with the original OEM charger. Even if I put the charger for hours, it only goes till 2%. When its off, the charge led blinks for 20-30 mins after which I can switch it on. I suspect if it has anything to do with a screen protector installation that I did. I applied the protector after moistening it with this liquid spray provided with the zagg protector. I've seen the battery issues a day after that. Does it have anything to do with moisture forming inside the phone which is causing issues charging my battery?
Kindly share your thoughts and experiences on how it can be recovered and if battery replacement would be a solution. Adding to above, I can see no other issues which are seen when water goes into the phone.
Any suggestions please? It's been 3 days for me without a phone
This may be a stupid question, but, knowing you've tried different chargers, have you tried a different cable? I know mine's really worn down, and will lose connection easily if I push down on the plug attached to the phone. If you can, see if it behaves any differently on a Qi wireless charger.

Battery is Acting Really Strange

My phone is having issues charging even with three different cables. If I plug the phone in while it is off, it turns on and says it's charging. But it doesn't receive a charge. If the phone is on and I plug it in, it says it's charging on the lock screen, but the icon doesn't change to the charging symbol and it doesn't receive a charge. I have tried wiggle the cable a bit while it's plugged in, but that doesn't help. It doesn't seem like others are having this same issue either. Am I screwed? I also unlocked my phone. Does that mean I am double screw and Huawei won't help me?

Hey all, here is a quick update. I spoke with a gentle from Huawei and was suppose to get a replacement sent out. However, I believe I was under volt charging the device and that's why I got those strange issues. It recharges every time from my car and my computer, but not from my wall. Kimtyson, Huawei said the exact same thing as you. Good call!
With the phone running, go to Phone Manager and then go to Power Saving and then Consumption Level. Is Cell Standby draining your battery? It is on mine.

For me, it's only 2.94%. I have to say though, going from 4.3 to 5.1 was a huge difference in life battery. For the worse. I went from one charge every 3 to 4 days to once a day.
However, I believe the USB port might be broken. I don't know why though. I haven't been rough it or charged it at a angle that would put extra pressure on it.
It might be worth doing a factory reset and\or reinstalling. Could be a bad flash or something. Also, try returning to JB. Just make a TWRP backup or something so you can get back to where you are now. See if everything is working back in JB. If so, it's not the USB port.
