So after i recieve a call, upon ending it, the back led remains on(sometimes flashing - like when u are recieveing a call)
If i do a reboot, the led turns off. When the phone boots, the led stays off also, only after a call, the led stays on.
I`m using some xposed framework modules like :
DS battery saver
G2 Skin tweaks
SB Icon Hider
stock ROM with dorimanx kernel.
Any ideas what could it be?
Using tricker mod? I think you can change the values with most kernel tuners to remain on and flash for various reasons.
Cheers, J.

what do you mean by tricker mod exactly?
Its a kernel settings modifier. That question kinda confirms an answer. Perhaps something in the aftermarket kernel your running.

I tried searching for anything related to the lock button led in this tweaks windows of the kernel.. but i can;'t find anything related..
I also disabled all xposed modules, but the issue persists. Upon recieving call * doesn't matter if answering or not* the led keeps flashing untill i reboot the phone.
Try going back to stock kernel and see if issue goes away?
Cheers, J.
well this is odd.. even with the stock kernel 3.4.0, the issue is present. hm..
I also flashed the 380 dpi from here but i doubt is has anything related..
Try a clean install and see what happens.
Cheers, J.
I actually installed the G3 ROM from optimus, and the issue was solved. I always wanted to try a G3 rom so i jsut did that.
Strange issue tho.. as changing back to stock kernel and disabling xposed the issue was still present.
Thanks for the help and ideas.

Hey Guys,
I want to have my LEDs to be always on when some notification come in.
The normal behaviour is blinking until you unlock the device and check the notification, but i want it stay on insteand of
blinking.
Light Manager quite does the job but i dont want an extra app for only enableing this. Is there a path to a file
where i can simply change the blink duration to 0 or something like this ?
Cheers

What ROM you on? If it's prior to 4.2.2 you could use JKay MOD?
Im currently on 4.1.2 Stock FW. and also rooted.
Never heard of JKAY Mod before and dont want to flash any other ROM cause of the features i use
in the stock FW.
But probably i will try out PA.
back to topic: is there any way for me to get the LEDs turned on the whole time instead of blinking ?

JKay is a framework, not a ROM. It basically just opens up a whole load of super-useful settings.. the dev describes it as Settings as Samsung should have made them.
Wouldn't know how to do it manually, sorry.
alright then.
i will try out JKay Mod and see if this will work.
can you explain me how to get the LEDs to behave the way i want with this mod ?
I recently installed UNOFFICIAL 4.3 ROM for Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. Had some issues. The phone wasnt charging but it seems like its charging now. And why are all the leds on ? the blue, red and green LEDs are on and have no idea why
Are we supposed to guess which rom you are using...?
If we know what rom, what recovery, any additional mods or themes, and what the last official version of the software were you using then we could start trying to point you in the right direction.
Also I'm not quite clear on what you mean by all the LEDs are on? I thought there was just one notification LED light on it? Or is it flashing various colors?

Sounds like mystery solved then or...?

I solved the LED problem. Just disabled something in the settings and its all good now.
I want to switch off my charging LED, indeed I'd like to switch off the LED completely. My phone is rooted and I've been trying out apps, but so far I haven't found a single one that can do the job. Can anyone please recommend an app or a method of simply killing the charging LED? Thanks.
Use a ROM that allows custom colour for charging and notification.
Select black as the colour.
Works with teamUB I've seen the colour selection options in quite a few ROMs. I don't know about stock though.
Thanks. But changing ROM seems like a serious overkill! I really do want to stay with the stock ROM (and to be able to receive the imminent over-the-air Lollipop update). Is a change of ROM really the only way to do it?

then rooting and unlocked bootloader is not for you.. stick a bit of electric tape over the led
Your sarcasm notwithstanding (and I actually DID stick tape over the LED for a while!), I've found a solution:
Using an app called "Light Flow", running it in "Direct mode", and setting its sleep time settings for all day, I've managed to kill the LED dead. Job done
The question's been asked a few times before (including by me), but so far with no solution. I'm trying again, then:
Does anyone know an app or hack or tweak that will completely kill the charging LED (or kill the LED altogether - if only I could open the phone and disconnect it!)? Yes, I'm rooted, and yes, I've tried "LightFlow", "Charging LED", Light Manager", etc., but so far none work.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just use custom rom and change color.......
Many thanks, but I don't want to change the colour, I want to switch it off completely.
I'm very happy with the stock ROM, and I would much prefer not to have to use a custom one. However, if anyone here is able to verify from experience that it would definitely be possible to switch off the charging LED completely under a custom ROM, then I guess I may have to consider doing that.

You can set it to black and it will match the body of the ultra. Why does the led bother you?
...............
That looks very encouraging, thanks. Can you tell me where the screenshot comes from? Is it an app, or part of the settings of a custom ROM, in which case which one? Many thanks.
As for why I want to switch it off: I have a desktop charger by my bed, the phone is positioned facing me, as I want. But when I'm sleeping I want complete darkness and the LED is a tremendous annoyance.

Thats a part of settings app with led options injected. It appears in most cm based roms.
Cheers. I do apologise if I'm sounding pedantic or difficult, but can you actually recommend a specific ROM? I'm not experienced with trying out ROMs, and I'd prefer not to install one, only to discover that it doesn't have the right settings, and so have to try another. Thanks very much.

I'm facing an issue with screen wake up with my kenzo in Nougat 7.1.x roms. The screen takes more than a second to wake up, and the issue occurs both while using the fingerprint scanner as well as using the power button to wake. On succesful scan/power button press, the button backlights come on immediately, but the screen comes on only after a second, and sometimes even more.
This issue was also present till MIUI 8.0.6.0, but was resolved in the MIUI 8.1.1.0 update. I also tried Xiaomi EU rom and it did not exhibit the issue at all.
I know a mere one second delay is not something to rant about, but still it gives the perception of a cheap underpowered phone, despite having one of the most powerful SOCs around. The fingerprint scanner is really quick and this issue doesn't do justice to it.
What can I do to speed up the screen wake up in custom ROMs?
P.S: I use Radon kernel in all the custom ROMs that I flash. Anything to do with that? And, please DON'T suggest me to go and stick with MIUI!!
Regarding Radon. Which version did you use? I think it was 3.7 were they changed something that slowed down the wake up. It should be fixed now in 3.8
If you're using 3.8, let the developer know they may be able to sort it out.

I've been using Radon right from version 3.7.4, and am now on 3.8. I have tried wakeup boost as well, and noticed no real difference.

Wake up boost doesn't do anything for me either. Have you adjusted any other settings, like minimum frequency? It could be that too. I'd reflash the kernel, set balanced profile and don't touch anything in KA (maybe disable it to prevent changes) and see how that goes.

I do the same as well. I flash Radon with balanced profile and don't touch anything in it except the sound settings.
Post something in the kernels thread here at XDA, see what they have to say. It could be something they can fix.

Is it really related to the kernel? Or does it have anything to do with the ROM?

The reason I think it could be the kernel because of earlier changes/reverts they did that slowed down the wake up. It could be entirely the ROM's fault. Does it happen with the stock kernel?

Yes. I don't need dt2w at all. I've even turned off Ambient Display.
Cant solve this issue .... Present in 7.1.1 , checked in resurrection remix 5.8.1 ( on many Nightlies) and AOSP Extended 3.1 . Issue present on both stock and Radon kernel.
