Hi guys,
So I'm trying to flash stock ICS Firmware 6.1.1.B.1.10 on my Xperia U with flashtool.I installed the fastboot and flashmode drivers and when i connect the phone in flashmode I get the flashmode device connected message but after around 40 sec it disconnects and i get the charging screen.
Is this normal?I'm afraid that it might disconnect while flashing and end up with bricked phone.

Same Problem
I am having the same problem.. Anyone pls help me out...
Happened same to me like 4 or 5 months ago. Don't worry. Wait until device find itself. I was worried like you when its happened to me. Just keep try open the device. After 1 or 2 hours my phone openned by itself.
i was able to flash my sola from GB to global ICS stock(.54) rom last time without any problems.
i wanted to root my phone so i flashed the kernel to .10 and used binary's root found on this forum.during the flashing process my phone got disconnected from the usb and it returned to usb charging mode.i was only able to flash the kernel after a couple of trying.when i boot into flash mode without opening any application the phone turned to charging mode within 10 seconds and i get semc driver error.i opened the flash tool and boot to flash mode, same thing happened.i already installed all the drivers in the drivers folder of flash tool couple of times.however, when i connect it to flash mode after opening SUS the flash mode stayed for a long time.
i was thinking to flash some custom roms to my phone but worried that while flashing the rom the usb gets disconnected and it would brick my phone.sorry for wall of text anyway my sola has locked bootloader
is it normal that flashmode will get disconnected if no tasks are given?i closed SUS after connecting to flashmode but it still stays there

Hello!
I was installing magisk on my Z Ultra. I un-root and everything and i installed this package from tutorial. I restared my phone and now its only vibrates and nothing appears on LCD. When i connect my charger its only blinking red LED. I know its going into fastboot mode. I don't know if its going to flashmode. Its only flashing red and for 1 second green and its desappers. How can i unbrick the phone? :C
Hey there make sure you have installed the fastboot and flashmode drivers
Firstly download the latest FTF package (stock rom)
Download androxyede Sony flashtool latest version
Connect device in flashmode (the flashtool will say device connected in flashmode)
Selected the proper FTF you downloaded and connect the device to pc via holding power down button and flash the FTF
TLDR
Install flashtool
Insert tutorial here.
Flash stock ftf
Profit.
hello like the title said
i cant seem to enter flashmode. fastboot and recovery works fine tho
i was trying to install stock rom, xperia companion app and flashtool doesnt help
flashtool said something like usb debugging off, and 2011 devices bla bla (usb debugging IS NOT OFF its ON) tried 2 different version the 9.18 and 9.2
the green light did light up only like 1s then off then light up again then its gone for good
after that the phone connected to pc and recognized as somc flash device but not recognized by flashtool or xperia companion
first off all its not really a problem because i can still go to fastboot and recovery to flash ROM
but since i want to revert to stock rom (not modified, rooted or anything)
can someone guide me how to fix it? i tried 2 pc + a laptop, flashmode still not detected
Same problem
I'am with same a problema, u have a solution?
You have to wait for flashtool to ask you to connect your phone in flashmode and that is after you've loaded your firmware to flash
Your phone will only stay in flashmode (green led) whilst it is receiving data if it is not receiving data it will switch off after a few second's
