As far as I know there is no ODIN package for CWM3. I have seen instructions in other threads on how to get it through rom manager, but I am drawing a blank at which specific thread.

So I did all the above and then when I try to boot in recovery using CWM I get the below message...

Installation aborted.
It brings me back to the blue recovery screen.

nem's post above this one is exactly correct on how to fix the problem, but in case you (or others reading this) aren't clear as to the WHY...
It's the "blue recovery screen" above. Stock recovery is blue. It requires signatures and non-test keys, and is therefore useless for us. Our standard Clockwork is red, and is what you Odin in with the 3-30 package. This is what you want, and need to put on the phone before anything else. There's also orange, which ROM Manager installs -- it's still buggy, so don't flash it.
If im not being lazy later today i'll go ahead and create an odin package for the latest CWM 3.x with voodoo options.

If anyone wants to take the time and use the settings I changed for mounting system and create a signed zip to alleviate issues people have on stock recovery feel free to do so. If not I might get around to it Monday. I am not sure if the mount options will work on stock recovery tho so please make sure you test before hand. I suppose sometimes I think for the most part almost everyone will be using a custom kernel or cwm. Sorry that when I did the zip I didn't take into account all possible situations.
I cannot get busy box to stick. Any ideas?

Rumor is stock rom our kernel wipes root. Stock kernel definitely wipes CWM, but there is a patched stock kernel here on XDA.
If you are desperate, you could try doing it manually?

I'm currently on stock ED03 and I was only able to get busybox to stick by using adb to push busybox to /system/xbin while in CWM 3.x. I forgot the link, but there was a download that had the rage.bin, Superuser.apk, su and busybox files with the instructions to manually root. I ignored all that.. used this Superuser zip in CWM and pushed busybox manually.
Hello.
I have problems with installing a new rom like froyocomb and cm7mini. My phone is rooted for sure as I have superuser permissions, and also able to run titanium backup and some others. I am using Rom manager made by Slade87. My recovery is ClockworkMod x10 mini pro. This is what the log file said when I tried to install a new Rom.

lol, make a following steps ; before flashing:
1. Go to the xRecovery,
2. Factory Reset ( Full Wipe ),
3. Wipe Cache partition,
3. Clear Cache,
4. Clear Dalvik cache.
5. Then Flash the Rom.
If this will not work, just update to 2.1 official and then make these following steps one by one.

ITs because of the newly implemented rules in CWM I think.
maybe the zip file is broken
try download again
change the name to "update.zip" i think so
Erm... I tried all of what you people did, but then it still didn't work. I wanna install froyocomb
Whats your SW and Baseband number?
I think that's wrong and therefore won't let you install it as you brick your phone that way.
So that means updating it to the latest official posted here on the forum.
any follow up??

Well, I'm using CWM and followed those steps on a recently SEUS'd phone. The ROM installs, or at least it says it's installing, I reboot the phone and..I end up in a bootloop. This is trying to install MiniCM7Pro - V21.
Very odd.

Worked like a charm, stupid Mac kept unzipping the file so I kept recompressing in hopes it would work. Smh . Thanks!
Which ROM did you install?
I am running the "super stock 2.3.6"
Which one? I googled "super stock 2.3.6" and could only find a Samsung ROM, not one for the X10 Mini Pro.
I'm sorry to be a pain but I'm still having problems installing a ROM so I was hoping to basically copy you since I know you've got it working.

Hello,
I have already asked this in the CM10 SGS3 discussion but could not get any help there, so I assumed this will get more attention.
Recently, I tried updating CM10 using CM Updater but CWM failed to update, complaining about signature verification of the update package. The full error was: E:signature verification failed.
Has anyone encountered this error before? If so, how can I fix this? And also - could have been any harm done due to failing signature verification on CWM?
Thanks!

Not on CM, so, never encountered this error before but...does this happen every time you try and update?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Are you sure you have CWM installed? A signature verification error in this case could result in of two possible things: either you have incompatible recovery (i.e. stock) installed or it is a bad/corrupted download. No harm was done, since failing to verify signature just does not let the zip to install.
@Oomahey, I tried this just once since I was not sure about the exact outcome of this.
@hsrars-d, Yes, I have CWM v5.4, I am not making any confusions, it says that right in the title on recovery
I'll try updating this one more time and get back to you.
Thank you for your time!
I had this yesterday on a note 2 and realised it didn't have cwm recovery installed. When I installed that worked perfectly
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Have not tried it yet but is it possible that my CWM version is old enough not to be compatible? It is version v5.4 (dot something-something)
Also, could CM Updater be using a different software on recovery even though when booting into recovery it explicitly says "Clockworkmod"? It does not make much sense to me.
Sorry for double-posting but I had to update that I have tried flashing it again, with the nightly build of 23/11 and it failed again. (after toggling signature verification on "apply new update" and using CM Updater again to update firmware)
Any suggestions?
Well, i have CWM Touch as my recovery, u could try to flash that and then update

Install Rom Manager from market than install latest Clockworkmod recovery for i9300 and that should work , you have an wold recovery
The CM Updater has never work for me, ever.
I'm running the latest version of CWM (v6.0.1.2) and when I try to update via CM Updater I get the following:
Code:
-- Installing package…Finding update package…
Opening update package…
Verifying update package…
e:failed to open /sdcard/cmupdater/cm-10-20121124-NIGHTLY-i9300.zip (No such file or directory)
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted
I can also say that if I manually go to "install zip from sdcard" and then select to access the internal sdcard I get the same error
Code:
e:can't mount /sdcard/
Browsing the external sdcard is no problem, only the internal.
I should also mention that my phone is encrypted, if that is the reason to why I can't access the internal sdcard in CWM, I don't know.
The encryption is the problem.

Is upgrading CWM different from replacing it with the stock recovery? Since, as I previously mentioned, I already have CWM installed and am just interested in upgrading it.
I am bumping this since it is still relevant. I am about to upgrade CWM and was thinking of doing this with ROM Manager (rather than heimdall/ODIN). Is it possible doing this from ROM Manager? Is it also more reliable than heimdall/ODIN in the context of bricking your phone?

i say in the thread you NEED a different recovery which just so happens, to be in the download bit where you get the rom
Ah.. Sorry. I missed that.
I really can't find the section for HTC One X+. Are there even a version for this? I need the update.zip file, since as I said, I don't have any rom currently.
again ALL the DOWNLOADS for 4.4 are in the 4.4 downloads tab. you NEED to update recovery and re-sideload the rom.
though to be honest, i highly doubt 4.4 is for you. as it's VERY unstable
I understand. But I'll give it a try.
Now you're probably still saying that I shouldn't get that ROM, but its pretty important for me.
However, I installed the Google Apps zip thingy successfully. And I rebooted my phone into recovery again. But it was still in TW. I tried to reflash the boot.img and install the zip but it was still not working.
I got ClockworkMod Recovery installed, but it doesn't seem to be able to install it.
