Hello XDA!
I was just wondering if you could have any feature, any software, any hardware anything at all on an android tablet, what would it be?
What would your dream tablet offer? 7" format? IPS LCD screen? unlocked hardware? bluetooth tether?
The sky's the limit! be creative
I don't really think this belongs in Chef Central... maybe general or something like that. Its not really to do with ROM development, so it shouldn't really be here.
I'm sure there are plenty of threads like this around too, if you are stuck for where to put it.

I envy you that is one monster indeed! I've got some Core Duo with Vista, but it does have Bluray
Well it's going to take me a little bit longer before I can buy the base model and start the upgrading process to that beast of a beast that will last me for quite some time (with minor upgrades/repairs here and there).
I currently have a netbook though, and it's a dual core 2.2ghz with 2gb of ram. All I know is I will marry that thing once it's finished. haha
Thanks for the humor
I realized as soon as I posted that it was in the wrong section.
Actually, speaking of chefs, I'm working on a new brand of android tablet that will be coming out later this year, would you be interested in doing any testing/development on it?

Interesting...
a full size usb would make it thick(er), what if there was a microUSB that was unlocked so you could use an adapter?
wouldn't you prefer a bluetooth keyboard over a slideout that large? then you could also use it while it's docked in the car.
a removable battery is also an interesting idea too.
For $400 the screen type would suffer I think, low pixel density and not so great color. screen type is one of the more costly components.
What about battery life/weight? they are hand in hand, with the removable battery I guess the battery could be smaller so the unit could weight less.
i would love an all in one package. I don't want to have to carry the bluetooth keyboard. It may be an unreasonable concept.
As long as the color on the screen is decent it doesn't really matter. For me it's much more about the touch portion with this type of device. I want it to have a good, accurate, responsive screen if i'm going to drop that kind of money on it.
To give you an idea of where i am in my tablet phase.
I've already owned a Sylvania SYNET7LP which was full of suck out of the box but with some tweaking became nice little device. One of my biggest issues was typing on it. hence the mention of a slider. if the touchscreen was good enough you could ditch the slider i'm just looking for overall package.
I'm currently in the market for tablet number 2 budget around $250.
the front runner is http://www.aliexpress.com/product-g...-capacitive-4GB-512MB-1-0ghz-wholesalers.html
It's missing some of the features i listed but you said "Dream" tablet right?

a removable battery also speaks a lot to the life expectancy of the device. removable means replaceable. replaceable means the device was build not to be a disposable device once the battery has been shot.
as for my reasoning for a full size usb it's pure convenience. The Sylvania i have has the damn dongle and it's just one more thing to have to carry and potentially loose.

i made that originally for a dream phone... but considering that smartphones and tablets are "merging" on the same hardware spectrum... i might as well throw that out to anyone who wanted to look... and its NOT specific to WM or Android even so it fits perfect here...
Although, if you look, I didnt stretch the DREAM part as far as some people seem to be able to stretch it, im thinking real work tech available, but phone/carrier company's too stupid (read, they want to milk us all for MAX $$$ instead of just providing one large massive uber pwnage upgrade that would effectively end cycled purchases every year, the greedy fuks)
cheers...
Make some prototypes and hand them to the seasoned devs over here. Im sure everyone would support you.
Wat did you have in mind.

My thoughts are, as long as it doesn't burn out the LTE antenna, $199 is a BARGAIN.
Just got the Asus PadFone x mini. Not bad phone tablet combo performance is decent everyday use notice little lag not bad. Lacks storage but I have 32Gb ad card not issue for me only 8 gig 3 our available. A ton bloatware. I could take it off but doesn't really bother me. The tablet 720 screen looks good. 200 it's nice combo. I had few phones this year. I trade and sell a lot. Not flagship phone on par with moto g.
i this got this phone/tablet has well this is replaceing my window phone
Got it love it
Got it. Love it. Would love it more with root. Since Kitkat 4.4.2 release it makes external micro sd cards useless with 3rd party apps. I could use the extra space. With root + sd card fix app we could revive use of the micro sd card. This is a great phone/tablet combo. Only $200? Wow what a deal. Add root and this baby is a steal deal. :victory:
It's decent coming from a lg flex it's a lot slower it lags a lot and whenever I do multi task it freezes and go back to home page.....once rooted we can crack up the CPU and then this would be beast

I have a friend who owns a DG800. He seems pretty happy with it, so I was considering getting a Doogee for myself. My choice would be this one if the price is right, how much should one pay for a phone like this once it comes out? Does anyone have experience with this brand?
Found it on a german forum.
DOOGEE’s 2015 Flagship F3 will come in 1GB to 4GB of RAM versions.
Doogee’s new high-end phone will come in during the first half of 2015, an will boast some really nice specifications MT6753 64bit, a Full HD 5 inch 2.5D display, 1GB, 2GB or even up to 4GB of RAM, there is even the possibility of a 3150mAh battery, and of course is a 4G phone. Internally, the phone will have at least 16GB of ROM.
But what catches most the eye about this phone is the design, with a really stylist metal frame and Gorilla glass in the back and front in the standard version and wood or bamboo as an option for the back.
Basic spec:
Screen: 5.0 inch, 2.5D curved glass, 1mm bezel
Resolution: could be FHD,1080P
Battery: could be 3150mAh
Camera: front 8.0mp OV, rear 13.0MP SONY IMX214 or Samsung Icosell
CPU: MT6753 LTE SoC64bit octa Cortex-A53 1.5Ghz
GPU: ARM Mali-T760
Colors: Deep Blue, White Pearl.
System: Android Lollipop 5.1, Ubuntu (still not confirmed)
Phone memory is too small, not worth buying.
We look forward to this DOOGEE S6000 for a long time. I guess the reason why it take such long time for it to release is because the company decide to increase the RAM on the S6000 to 2GB. Now that seems more attracted to me. As I think that should be a slick deal for such phone. This Doogee S6000 supports the MT6735 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.5Ghz with 16GB of internal memory. There will be a 5.5-inch 720p display up front, which is quite the standard among mid-range devices these days. And more excited is that it adapts the fast charging technology, you can charge the device up to 75 percent in under 30 minutes. What impress me is the big battery of 6000 mah of this phone. If the final price is the $139.99 I am really looking forward to it. why not?

You may want to throw that in PCPartPicker and send a link to that build list. You may also find better pricing since you posted it.
A few follow-up Qs:
1) What OS (or OSes?)
2) What games in particular are you looking at playing?
3) Do you have a budget in mind?
There's also room to make choices where you may not lose much in performance, if at all.
For example, The i7-8700K does quite well and still cheaper than the 8086K. Or maybe wait for 9th gen, rumored to be next month.
1200W PSU is likely overkill for that. If you enter all of this into PCPartPicker I'll wager that's well under 500W - meaning a 750W PSU may do all you need.
And for the RTX I'm a big supporter of not buying until reviews come out, unless you have cash to burn on this.
Hope this helps!
