Why so skeptical ?
I'm on Moto E and this worked for me:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2796513
People don't reply to How-to because they either don't try or just got it working. If there was any brick, etc., they must have shouted at least.

Atrix back to stock

Hi I was wondering if some one can help me get a stock firmware so I can install it on my atrix.
I have some dead spots and need to send to back in to Motorola.
Also do I install pudding first or after I install the firmware so I can hide the unlocked on boot up.
Thanks for your help in advance!
I currently have the dark side ROM installed.

Thanks ;-) Never mind I'll figure it out myself.
Thanks for the help though.
You don't flash pudding, that'll keep the unlock text. You flash the stock 2.3.4 sbf. Happy flashing

That's exactly what I'm download...thank you.
Shouldn't be flashing any sbf after unlocking bootloader. Flashing sbf is high risk for bricking.
You need to go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1163009
and flash a fruitcake build through CWM.

Will this also remove the unlocked on start up?
No it won't :/
People say it's not safe but I did it flawlessly before I sent mines in.

Sir..the unlocked bootloader warning screen and the boot animation, are two, completely separate functions..
The boot animation is actually included in the OS firmware..

That's ok I found the right file in your other thread. Apparently it was just the wrong link in this thread.
Yeah, I'm not stupid. I flashed the zip in the OP and it changed the unlocked bootloader screen to the screenshot someone posted earlier and the bootscreen was untouched. But its alright, I found a better one.
