Hey guys,
Found nothing helpful for me with search.
i've tried to install Paranoid Android on my Phone, but after install, only the CWM was loading.
So i've tried to install the RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_HTC_Europe_1.17.401.1_Radio_3.1204.168.32_release_299688_signed.exe
There i get an error, because its the wrong Version. But i have installed this Version already at November 2013.
But so i've tried the RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_Vodafone_UK_1.14.161.13_Radio_3.1204.167.31_release_289473_signed, too.
~same error.
Tried it unlocked and relocked. Is it because i have S-ON? But I don't know how to get it S-OFF.
How can I install the RUU? I'm not a profi. So please subscribe so, that I can understand

your HBOOT version number is to high. Without S-OFF you can't downgrade bootloader version number and so RUU fails when trying to apply an older version. And there's no way to achieve S-OFF on this device.
As for your try to flash a custom rom: do you have the latest CWM recovery from official site? because you need it for 4.4 roms. Did you flash the boot.img in fastboot before flashing the rom in recovery?

My CWM is v6.0.2.7. How can I update it? Or how can I put the install on my Phone from CWM? Don't know how to mount the Flash from it.
Yes, the boot.img, i have installed with fastboot
Edit:
Have downloaded CWM 6.0.4.8 for enrc2b. Can I install it with
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.8-enrc2b.img ?

if you flashed the boot.img, you should be able to install PA if the rom.zip is still on your phone just get latest CWM 6.0.4.8 from official cwm site (you'll probably find it under codename enrc2b). don't forget to wipe/format /system, /cache and /data partition before flashing (dont wipe /data/media folder, because this is your internal "sdcard")
have read wrong. will answer new in a few minutes ;D
I will test it with the new CWM

I've made:

But at my tries to load the RUU, befor posting, i think i have already deleted the Paranoid.zip from my sdcard. I tried

try "adb sideload rom.zip", you have to start sideload mode in recovery first i think.
edit:
reading your error, type "adb devices" first and see what devices are showing up

I thank you so much!
I've installed the adb universal driver (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50892780&postcount=118). Than the device was shown as "sideload" and not twice.
Than i've installes the rom with "adb sideload rom.zip" and the gapps with "... gapps.zip".
After the "fastboot flash boot boot.img", my phone started.
Now I hope, that I've not the bug, that the GPS dosn't work, because I need it!

As you may guess from RUU name now: you've got the wrong RUU file for your phone. EVITARE_UL is the codename for AT&T/Telus X+ (the RUU you used is for the One X btw). Take a look in the One X+ General forum, i think there was a thread with a collection of RUUs.
Since i don't know what carrier you have or where you got this phone, i can't tell you what RUU file you need exactly. I only have International version of X+ (enrc2b). Maybe you should do a bit more research, or maybe someone else can answer this.

You can not because your CID is 170.
You read this to do : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2158836.;)
After do this :
1. Your new hboot is : 1.63.2211 ( no longer 1.63.0000) and hboot name : JuopunutBear ( with this hboot you no need unlock bootloader HTCdev).
2. S-Off (no longer S-on) --> now you can change your CID become super CID : 11111111.
3. Now you can Root and up any rom you want.:good:

One issue I have now is when i boot into the bootloader and I click recovery my phone instantly restarts until it goes to the regular lock screen...
[edit]
can't even do a factory reset.
Flash a custom recovery. You can download the TWRP recovery.img here: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/87
Then go get superSU here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 and put it on your sd card and flash it through recovery! Then you should have root.
Edit: If you don't have a rom installed you will need to flash a rom instead of superSU... I won't suggest one for you as I am on the CDMA version and I don't know what's compatible with your setup.
For recovery though, try reflashing through fastboot usb mode: fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
or try booting the recovery with: fastboot boot recoveryname.img
I cant return it to stock. Relocked bootloader and trying to use the .exe RUU and it just fails on everyone I`ve tried at updating signature. This phone has to go back tommrow!

Hi.
Will this RUU.zip also work with my International version ?
I have downloaded the Zips and I extracted the Zip file so I could look at it.
I did notice that in the file build.prop file that it does not make reference to O2 which is my carrier, so I am not sure if this is the correct Stock Zip.
I am wanting to put my stock rom back on and wait for the Stock Update for Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
At the moment I have AOKP 4.2.2 custom Rom on.

You need to be a bit more clear. You are trying to go complete stock or use moonshine to unlock and soff? What error do you get when trying to use ruu?

Use moonshine to s off. Go to the thread on how to go back to stock. Follow the directions. The signature is obviously failing because you are s on...

I'm confused. Maybe someone can answer.
He flashed the 2.06 firmware successfully. That will flash a the new hboot, radio and recovery.
Unless he has a custom splash screen, why would RUU'ing fail.
What happens if the 2.06 firmware it's flashed again?
Does it pass the checks?
Nvm: he can't RUU because the hboot has to 1.15.

It's not a signature issue, it's encryption issue. Newer hboots are unable to decrypt the older ruu zip. If you have a "stockish" rom, you can reflash the 2.06 firmware zip. this will flash a signed kernel and recovery and allow the device to _attempt_ to boot to android. If you can get to android, you can then attempt to s-off again.
If moonshine repeatedly fails (don't drink and shine) and also revone repeatedly fails try this:
In moonshine folder you'll see dnashellroot.apk package
1.) adb install dnashellroot.apk
2.) adb shell
3.) am start -n c.fyf/.MainActivity
4.) (wait 10 seconds)
5.) /dev/sh ($ should turn into #)
6.) echo -ne "22222222" | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 bs=1 seek=20
^do NOT screw that command up, copy/paste it or risk a brick
7.) exit
8.) exit
9.) adb reboot bootloader
10.) fastboot getvar cid
if it's 22222222, you are good. Proceed to htcdev to unlock, then you can s-off using facepalm.

What seems to be an issue
i dont have any ROM installed now , and the only thing that i can use is fastboot command
I am familiar with adb , and plus i've created custom ROM before but not for HTC
trying to help a cousin but hell , JTAG here is unfamiliar with this model ( not available in Malaysia )
so i would think , this is a deadend but i never gave hope.
Will try to figure something and all help is much appreaciated.
Hi Everyone / Anyone,
I've got and HTC One X+ (64GB) not AT&T. Since a week my phone was being slow and doing crazy things so I managed to reinstall the mod I had (Android Revolution HD 6.2).
First of all I made a backup of all my datas (including SD card) and then I restarted the phone in recovery mode. From there I made a wipe dalvik cache and format of SD card FROM the CWM recovery ... (an old one, didn't remember witch version). Things got harder from this moment because my SD Card isn't recognize at all since the moment I formated it from the CWM, I can't even mount it from the recovery. So I managed to reinstall a newer version of the CWM to see if it works and ... It failed.
Now I'm stuck on the bootloader, I don't have any rom installed because I formated everything into the recovery, the recovery isn't working (when I choose recovery I see the "HTC" logo and the phone shutdown or stay stuck on it.
It's been 7 hours I'm reading all the forums and threads out there to find a solution but nothing seems to work.
I tried to install the lastest CWM Recovery (recovery-clockwork-5.8.4.0-endeavoru) but it didn't worked, previous version didn't worked neither (6.0.3.2 or 6.0.2.8).
I also tried the TOOL (JBFTOOL21) found on this forum but I got the same issue with recovery : still not working.
So I've got two main issues to manage and that's why I really need your help, first I need to figure out why I can't even access the recovery : if someone can help me get it back it could be great!

Thanks a lot, my recovery is now working! But I still have a major problem : my SDCard isn't recognize anymore in the phone since I tried to format it from the CWM Recovery, I can't mount it, I can't format, I can't push anything anymore ... I've been searching again for this but it seems I have no luck.
Into the bootloader when I try to place the HBOOT on it says :
"SD checking...
Failed to open usb master mode
[Preload] Failed to open usb master mode
Loading PM35IMG.zip image...
Failed to open usb master mode
Please plug off usb"
I also get these error into the recovery when trying to mount :
"E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]"
But I can access it through the "Install zip" of CWM. It remains impossible anyway to place any ROM onto it, I also tried the "install zip from sideload" but adb doesn't recognize the phone as plugged-in. ADB devices returns an empty list of devices connected ...
Can you help me ... again ?
YES!!!
Finally it was successfull, my phone is reinstalled and working again using your advices, here's the steps I did to make it work :
I reinstalled the good CWM recovery you gave to me, then I tried to access the SDCARD via the recovery but it didn't worked as well so I tried again with ADB (following the link you gave). In fact I had an old version of ADB that's why my phone wasn't recognized. When I used the lastest version and cheking with "adb devices" my phone appears.
I went to the "Install ZIP" section in CWM, and used the "Sideload", just after I checked again via ADB devices which said my phone was in sideload mode, all I had to do is to "adb sideload rom.zip" and here we go, it was installing!
Thank you a hundred times [email protected]! I feel so much better now! It was a real challenge anyway!
Thanks again for you precious help!

please!!!1 can someone help me i dont think my problem may be too bad but im very confused by all the slight variations in instructions im seeing.
my hox+ is in a boot loop where it gets to the home sceen i even see notifications coming in then it says process com.android.phone has stopped,
this happened after i foolishly replaced the telephony.db file with one from my hox(not plus) international version.
the phone is rooted but i relocked the bootloader iin preparation to flash ruu but now im realisiing that non of the Ruu's im seeing are for my model.(i have the original telephony.db file)
can install a costom rom from the bootloader screen even though i didnt do a twrp back up( i only downloaded the latest twrp img file usinf rom installer)

Can u go to fastboot mode by combine hardware buttons? Then u can flash recovery again, then go to recovery at fastboot mode and copy custom rom or stock rom via adb push then etc.
Hi All need some assistance to recover my phone I'm new at this so I will need step by step guidance or point me to a link which covers every step required . I've tried following various posts in the forum and utube but have had no success.
Background, phone was accidentally wiped while trying to install a custom rom, phone now has no back up or rom on it, it has TWRP on it but from what I can see that's it, below info I see at bootloader screen.

... after sideloading the rom is 100% the phone reports sideload failed with the following error.
Set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/data/media/sideload.zip'
Any suggestions??
Do you find any sideload.zip file in your sd card from recovery?? By the way which recovery are you using?? I had the same problem but i did this method and it worked.
Sent from my HTC One X+ using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
There was no zip file present on the SD card... So it definetly failed. I using TWRP recovery, I have tried with 4 different versions. 2.3.3.0 , 2.6.0.0, 2.6.3.0 & 2.7.0.0 no luck at all.
I think yoy have to S-Off your device
At first you should go with any version of ENRCB_U RUU
I have the international version cid Htc_622 ...I can't find any RUU for it.. Looks like it's destined for the bin!
is anyone still has the hasoon all in one kit?

you need to unlock your bootloader first, then flashboot TWRP2.6.3.3.0 first.
then reboot in recovery(TWRP) advance-and choose sideload. then flashboot-sideload your zip file, all is in the link you were given above.
Then report back if you need any more help

Followed instructions exactly but still get the same side load failed error on the phone after its 100% completed..
Set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/data/media/sideload.zip'
Any other ideas appreciated?
