Hi Everyone / Anyone,
I've got and HTC One X+ (64GB) not AT&T. Since a week my phone was being slow and doing crazy things so I managed to reinstall the mod I had (Android Revolution HD 6.2).
First of all I made a backup of all my datas (including SD card) and then I restarted the phone in recovery mode. From there I made a wipe dalvik cache and format of SD card FROM the CWM recovery ... (an old one, didn't remember witch version). Things got harder from this moment because my SD Card isn't recognize at all since the moment I formated it from the CWM, I can't even mount it from the recovery. So I managed to reinstall a newer version of the CWM to see if it works and ... It failed.
Now I'm stuck on the bootloader, I don't have any rom installed because I formated everything into the recovery, the recovery isn't working (when I choose recovery I see the "HTC" logo and the phone shutdown or stay stuck on it.
It's been 7 hours I'm reading all the forums and threads out there to find a solution but nothing seems to work.
I tried to install the lastest CWM Recovery (recovery-clockwork-5.8.4.0-endeavoru) but it didn't worked, previous version didn't worked neither (6.0.3.2 or 6.0.2.8).
I also tried the TOOL (JBFTOOL21) found on this forum but I got the same issue with recovery : still not working.
So I've got two main issues to manage and that's why I really need your help, first I need to figure out why I can't even access the recovery : if someone can help me get it back it could be great!
Here's the informations about the phone :

Thanks a lot, my recovery is now working! But I still have a major problem : my SDCard isn't recognize anymore in the phone since I tried to format it from the CWM Recovery, I can't mount it, I can't format, I can't push anything anymore ... I've been searching again for this but it seems I have no luck.
Into the bootloader when I try to place the HBOOT on it says :
"SD checking...
Failed to open usb master mode
[Preload] Failed to open usb master mode
Loading PM35IMG.zip image...
Failed to open usb master mode
Please plug off usb"
I also get these error into the recovery when trying to mount :
"E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]"
But I can access it through the "Install zip" of CWM. It remains impossible anyway to place any ROM onto it, I also tried the "install zip from sideload" but adb doesn't recognize the phone as plugged-in. ADB devices returns an empty list of devices connected ...
Can you help me ... again ?
YES!!!
Finally it was successfull, my phone is reinstalled and working again using your advices, here's the steps I did to make it work :
I reinstalled the good CWM recovery you gave to me, then I tried to access the SDCARD via the recovery but it didn't worked as well so I tried again with ADB (following the link you gave). In fact I had an old version of ADB that's why my phone wasn't recognized. When I used the lastest version and cheking with "adb devices" my phone appears.
I went to the "Install ZIP" section in CWM, and used the "Sideload", just after I checked again via ADB devices which said my phone was in sideload mode, all I had to do is to "adb sideload rom.zip" and here we go, it was installing!
Thank you a hundred times [email protected]! I feel so much better now! It was a real challenge anyway!
Thanks again for you precious help!

Hello everyone!
I've been looking for a custom recovery for my HTC Rhyme (Bliss) and I've tried EVERYTHING!
Clockworkmod recovery, 4ExtRecover, Amon Ra Recovery, etc. There is no option in ROM Manager Pro and there are no custom ROMS for my phone. Even if there was a ROM for my phone, I can't flash any ROMS!!! So, I'm desperately waiting for someone to help me or maybe a developer who knows how to build a recovery. Please help me. I've been emailing developers and seeking out options all over the web.
If you can help, thanks.
Bump
Can someone please help me...
I don't think there'll be much development for the Rhyme. It isn't as popular as the other HTC phones, mainly because of it's niche consumer target. It's mostly meant for women, and most of the devs on XDA are guys. Also the phone hasn't become so widespread that they might take interest in developing for it. That's the reason there isn't even a forum for HTC Rhyme in XDA, alongside all the other devices. So I guess you're at a dead end and stuck with stock. :-\ Maybe something will come up if you're lucky!
Hopefully something comes up because I can't even flash a kernel or anythign...thanks!
It may be a girls phone, but the boys have to maintain them. Also the Sense 3.5 must make it an interesting test bed? Vote for a forum.

Sorry, I put a bad link above. This one works.
Hello everyone !
I've got good news : after a lot of search, I found a chinese site which explains how to flash an unofficial ClockworkMod 5.0.2.7 on the HTC Rhyme.
I don't understand chinese, and so a guy helped me on phonandroid.com (a French forum) : he found the PI46IMG.zip file on MediaFire.
Here is the url (I'm not allowed to post links) : http :// www . mediafire . com/?xu8o6ppiu00e76z
The bootloader autoflash method (puting the file in the microSD's root) didn't worked for me (incorrect CID), but a fastboot flash did !
Here are informations (got with fastboot) about my phone, on which it worked :
Code:
> fastboot getvar all
version: 0.5
version-bootloader: 1.30.0004
version-baseband: 3822.09.00.08_M
version-cpld: None
version-microp: None
version-main: 1.29.401.11
product: bliss
platform: HBOOT-7630
modelid: PI4610000
cidnum: HTC__203
partition-layout: Generic
security: on
build-mode: SHIP
commitno-bootloader: 693a31ef
hbootpreupdate: 12
gencheckpt: 0
So to flash the unofficial CWM 5.0.2.7, someone must :
- Unlock the bootloader
- Download the PI46IMG.zip file (4.17MB)
- Unzip the file on the hard drive
- Reboot into fastboot (via
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
for example)
- Flash the recovery.img :
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Enjoy !
PS: Sorry if my English isn't very good, I'm French.
I'm really unsure of what you mean by unzip the file on the hard drive...do you mean on the phone like I'm flashing a radio? and then what do I do after that and thanks btw!!
Tried this several times. It's not working for me. In fact, I've tried everything I could find about rooting the Rhyme and NOTHING has panned out. The only thing that I've been able to do successfully is unlock/relock the bootloader. I've tried flashing numerous recoveries and even an RUU mod. I have no success using methods that others have used and they worked for them. ZergRush is what most have used but I get nowhere with it. Now, I can't even get the stock recovery to boot.
This is my wife's phone and I really want to root it so that she can have the benefit of being able to completely backup everything, in addition to all the other great perks that come with root.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.
@rankelvin: by "unzip the file on the hard drive" I mean on your computer, as the only way to flash a recovery or a boot image on the Rhyme is with the fastboot command and an unlocked bootloader.
@RuLEoF2: ZergRush almost worked for me, but not permanently. I think the best way to have a real root for the Rhyme is to flash an already rooted ROM, like the one I published (you can search here for "Aurore Rhyme 1.0"), but you need a recovery to do that... I thought the fastboot method would work for everyone, it's weird it doesn't... What does the phone do when you try to boot on the recovery ?
It goes to the white HTC screen for a few seconds, then to a black screen with an image of a phone and a tiny caption saying something about updating. That only lasts about a second where it then goes to the infamous red triangle screen.
I have to hold down the power button for about 10 seconds to get it to power down from there.
I've tried flashing with fastboot from my PC (no joke) at least 20 times with several different recovery downloads. No good. It never takes.
---------- Post added at 02:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:31 PM ----------
Here's what I got with a recovery a just tried to flash. The recovery image was extracted from an RUU.
C:\android>fastboot flash recovery recovery_signed.img
sending 'recovery' (4018 KB)...
OKAY [ 2.656s]
writing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 3.328s
The infamous red triangle screen is normal with stock recovery. You have to press the power button while holding the volume up button to enter in the recovery from there.
About the "signature verify fail", is the bootloader really unlocked ? There is no signature verification on my phone when I flash something with fastboot...
Ok... I am able to get to the recovery that way.
The bootloader may have been locked on that flash attempt. I've been bouncing back and forth, trying different processes. I unlocked it again a little while ago and flashed a boot.img which worked fine.
As an experiment, I just tried flashing Amon Ra for Rezound, It said that it installed "okay" but it wouldn't load. No surprise there. So I re-flashed the recovery image from earlier and it installed "okay" and that one loaded just fine. The main thing that I wanted to know from this was I even able to flash a recovery at all and it appears so.
That recovery image is the only one I have and it looks like it's the stock "Android system recovery <3a>". I haven't been able to find any custom recoveries as of yet.
The only one custom recovery made for the Rhyme I found after a long search is the one on MediaFire I linked before. I don't know if there is any other which could work... :/
I tried that one before and again just now. It fails saying "Model ID incorrect!".
I am able to extract the files with 7zip. Is there something I can do to modify the txt file?
Which files are you able to extract with 7zip ?
And what does this fastboot command return ?
Code:
fastboot getvar modelid
I am able to extract the recovery.img and the android-info.txt files. The txt file contains the following...
"ModelID: PI4610***
ModelID: PI4610000
CIDNUM: 1111111
MainVer: 2.0.0.134076
DelUserData:0"
When I use the fastboot "getvar modelid" command, I get "modelid: PI4611000".
I tried flashing the recovery.img by itself manually with fastboot and it didn't work. It said "okay" but wouldn't boot past the white HTC screen.
OK, so you have better to flash the stock recovery again...
I'll try to find a recovery for your ModelID but it will be difficult. :/
Ok. I did and the stock recovery is working.
Thank you very much. I really do appreciate your help.
So the problem is that the recovery is for the bliss and yours is a blissc.
I found a way to build an official CWM from a stock recovery, but I need informations about your phone to check if the partitions table is the same on the two models.
The informations I need are the return of the following commands, that must be executed on the phone (via adb shell) :
Code:
cat /proc/emmc
mount
If the partitions table is the same, this recovery should work, I just build it from a BlissC RUU's recovery with the official CWM builder :
http://android.4urore.net/blissc/recovery.img

I do have access to my Phone via Windows 7 if i mount the usb storage via recovery
I tried running a RUU.exe from androidfiles.org/ruu/?dir=Endeavor , the RADIO-2.1204.135.20 version, and ran it, but it says it cant run because its the wrong version. The troubleshooting option didnt help either.
Now i hope its possible to install the Stock ROM or any other ROM to get my phone working again.
I didnt make a backput before, so yeah, recovery doesnt seem possible.
Edit 1 : I installed CWM 6.0.2.7 and tried to make a full restore (seems like there was a backup) but now my phone just keeps restarting in a loop ...
Edit 2 : I downloaded cyanogen mod 10.1 as a *zip, and copied it to my sd card. then i flashed the boot.img, and installed the zip via recovery, but now the phone loops at the boot screen forever.
Please does someone know a solution ??
No worries, you can flash any ROM you want as you have an unlocked phone. Stock, CM, any custom ROM. These are the steps -
1. Download ROM zip. Extract boot.img from ROM.
2. Copy ROM zip to sdcard.
3. Boot into bootloader (hboot), do -
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
followed by
Code:
fastboot erase cache
4. Go to recovery from hboot, do a full wipe. Wipe all partitions that can be wiped i.e. system, factory reset/data. Factory reset also wipes cache and .android_secure, so you've wiped all partitions with these two.
5. Now flash ROM in recovery and reboot. Don't forget to download and flash gapps too if you want Google apps (most AOSP based ROMs like CM don't include them).
fastboot erase cache prevents bootloops and other problems on a fresh ROM flash. I don't think you did that before. You should be good now if you follow all the steps. Also, I'd rather recommend TWRP as it is the best recovery for the One X and many other devices. Read their changelogs and features, much more advanced than CWM. So before you do all this, download and flash the latest TWRP from http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/95
The reason the restore of your backup ended up in a bootloop is because you didn't flash boot.img before restoring. You have to do that for restoring backups too. Unfortunately it is this way because HTC gave us a crappy half unlocked bootloader (S-ON) which doesn't all low direct flashing of boot and recovery partitions. They should have given us a fully unlocked S-OFF bootloader. Anyway, if you want to restore your backup, first put your phone in recovery mode, connect your phone to computer, and mount USB storage in recovery. Now on your computer, go to the clockworkmod/backup folder in your internal memory, and copy boot.img from your backup folder. Now go into hboot, fastboot flash the boot.img and erase cache like I detailed above, then go back to recovery and restore your backup. It'll work then.
NOTE: CWM and TWRP backups are incompatible, so if you made a backup with a certain recovery, restore it using that same recovery. Then you can switch recoveries and make a fresh backup.
On a side note, asking in the HTC One X forum would have got you quicker replies.

You'll have to boot to TWRP and transfer a rom to the internal storage. If MTP mode doesn't work, or the version you are using does not support it, then you will have to use adb commands to transfer the rom zip. For some versions of TWRP, I have found that if MTP mode isn't working, you have to disable it before adb works. If you aren't able to do either one of those, then most likely it is a driver issue that you will need to address before proceeding. I find Win 7 works best with that generation of HTC phones.

But so i've tried the RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_Vodafone_UK_1.14.161.13_Radio_3.1204.167.31_release_289473_signed, too.
~same error.
Tried it unlocked and relocked. Is it because i have S-ON? But I don't know how to get it S-OFF.
How can I install the RUU? I'm not a profi. So please subscribe so, that I can understand

your HBOOT version number is to high. Without S-OFF you can't downgrade bootloader version number and so RUU fails when trying to apply an older version. And there's no way to achieve S-OFF on this device.
As for your try to flash a custom rom: do you have the latest CWM recovery from official site? because you need it for 4.4 roms. Did you flash the boot.img in fastboot before flashing the rom in recovery?

your HBOOT version number is to high. Without S-OFF you can't downgrade bootloader version number and so RUU fails when trying to apply an older version. And there's no way to achieve S-OFF on this device.

My CWM is v6.0.2.7. How can I update it? Or how can I put the install on my Phone from CWM? Don't know how to mount the Flash from it.
Yes, the boot.img, i have installed with fastboot
Edit:
Have downloaded CWM 6.0.4.8 for enrc2b. Can I install it with
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.8-enrc2b.img ?

if you flashed the boot.img, you should be able to install PA if the rom.zip is still on your phone just get latest CWM 6.0.4.8 from official cwm site (you'll probably find it under codename enrc2b). don't forget to wipe/format /system, /cache and /data partition before flashing (dont wipe /data/media folder, because this is your internal "sdcard")
have read wrong. will answer new in a few minutes ;D
I will test it with the new CWM

I've made:
1. wipe data/factory reset
2. wipe cash
3. install rom.zip
4. install gapps.zip
5. fastboot flash boot boot.img with cmd in the fastboot directory
6. reboot with the error

The newest CWM, i have installed.
But at my tries to load the RUU, befor posting, i think i have already deleted the Paranoid.zip from my sdcard. I tried
adb push C:\Users\Miyako\Desktop\Flashen\Paranoid\pa_enrc2b-4.43-20140716.zip /sdcard/
But it says:
error: more than one device and emulator
error: more than one device and emulator
So now?

try "adb sideload rom.zip", you have to start sideload mode in recovery first i think.
edit:
reading your error, type "adb devices" first and see what devices are showing up

otivothe snp
It's done.
I thank you so much!
I've installed the adb universal driver (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50892780&postcount=118). Than the device was shown as "sideload" and not twice.
Than i've installes the rom with "adb sideload rom.zip" and the gapps with "... gapps.zip".
After the "fastboot flash boot boot.img", my phone started.
Now I hope, that I've not the bug, that the GPS dosn't work, because I need it!
*Very happy and thankful*

we need some more information:
- what's your phones "codename" in bootloader (enrc2b or evitareul)?
- what is your CID? in case you don't know how to get it, try this: WinDroid Universal HTC Toolkit
- which RUU did you try to use?

As you may guess from RUU name now: you've got the wrong RUU file for your phone. EVITARE_UL is the codename for AT&T/Telus X+ (the RUU you used is for the One X btw). Take a look in the One X+ General forum, i think there was a thread with a collection of RUUs.
Since i don't know what carrier you have or where you got this phone, i can't tell you what RUU file you need exactly. I only have International version of X+ (enrc2b). Maybe you should do a bit more research, or maybe someone else can answer this.
Hi I unlocked my bootloader and flashed TWRP recovery and den tried flashing custom ROM. after flashing it gets rebotted n gets stuck at HTC logo. Im really worried. I tried pushing another ROM thru adb MIUI/CM n tried flashing.. Flashing shows succesful but gets stuck at HTC logo.
I have my backup of stock ROM in my PC but since i cant connect my mobile to pc i dont know if I can transfer my backup to mobile. Also I dont have sdcard slot so cant try that option too..
Please helo:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

I shall be trying this for sure once I go home. But today I tried one more method found from link
But the problem here is I can't find the RUU for my device. After fastboot OEM lock , it shows the following
Details as follows:
ENRC2b_U PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.72.0000
CPLD-NONE
MICROP-NONE
RADIO- 3.1204.171.33
eMMC-bootmode : disabled
CPU-bootmode : disabled
Modem path : OFF
So what I understand is I need RUU as per Radio-3.1204.171.33 which I'm not able to get , any1 please suggest the solution.
Now since I have relocked my device I will have to unlock my device again , Flash Custom Recovery , SuperSu , Den Flash ROM/Kernal.
Instead of the method mentioned above is there any solution to go back to my old version with RUU. If yes provide me link of RUU for my verison

If you need to Flash your phone back because it is stuck at the ‘HTC quietly brilliant’ and not booting, you might be interested in this guide.
I had a long and painful way of googling and complaining about the fact, that HTC One X has everything and One X+ is never mentioned. However i found a solution. I will repeat everything here for beginners.
At first you might have waited about 30 mins or something like that for the device to boot, so maybe the battery is going to be over 30% which will be necessary. Maybe it’s not possible to load the device normally. Don’t panic there is a stupid way to do this.
Loading with laden.bat (which means loading)
You will need these downloads:
laden.bat, adb-tools
Extract the adb-tools folder found in the downloaded zip-file to your hard drive c:\.
Put the laden.bat into this folder. laden.bat should be in the same folder as fastboot.exe.
Go to command line by Start > write: ‘cmd’.
Use ‘cd..’ & ‘cd adb-tools’ to get to the ‘c:\ads-tools’ folder.
Boot your phone to FASTBOOT: press power & sound down, hold sound down until bootmanager appears -> select FASTBOOT
Connect your phone via USB
Now on the phone you can read blablabla… USB
Start the laden.bat
Now the phone will restart the whole time, and the battery loads during the time from start to bootmanager screen.
Please check the mV shown in the console, if they don’t go up to (3800-3900 mV) stop the procedure and check USB connection.
Relock the device
If your device is rooted, the boot loader was unlocked and this might be a problem so we relock it in this step.
HowTo:
Turn the device off
start to FASTBOOT like before
connect to PC via USB
go to command shell and switch to the adb-tools directory (like above)
in the directory you start fastboot.exe by -> ‘fastboot oem lock’
Reboot -> take a look in boot loader (at the top) if the device is now *relocked*
Using RUU’s to flash back the Firmware
You can find some RUU’s here.
I used the RUU_ENRC2B_U_JB_45_HTC_Europe_1.17.401.1_Radio_3.1 204.168.32_release_299688_signed.exe file.
This is a simple procedure:
Connect the device via USB
Your device has to be in FASTBOOT mode
Just install the exe File and follow the instructions on the screen.
:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
stop spamming all threads pls...
unlock your phone again.
flash cwm linked above
download cm11 on your pc and extract boot.img (kernel)
flash boot.img
go to recovery and look for sideload
transfer cm11 from your pc using adb sideload and flash it
I am trying to install any ROM, recovery but no luck for 2 weeks!!!
It was unlocked via HTC unlock_code.bin. Now I can relock or unlock again with no issue.
However I could not install any CRW . So I have to install stock RUU, CID is VODAP102 German Vodaphone. main versiyon: 2.17.161.3 , hboot: 1.72.0000
I relocked via fastboot and tried to install stock RUU however it was lower than 2.17.161.3 and gave signature error. I could not find higher RUU.
Is this a garbage now ?
-----
SOLVED: I pressed the left top part while recovering and it booted up recovery. Very interesting

If you already successfully unlocked the phone thats a good news. and please keep your unlock_code.bin for future use. Anyways if u can follow all the instruction given in this forum it's not that hard to solve your problem. there are multiple solution for the problem you are facing.
So, well i hope u can still go to the fastboot mode right? if u can then u can use the adb push functions to install a recovery in your HOX+. follow the procedure below to install a recovery:
Unlock the phone again like you did before.
install a recovery:
please download the files u going to need to install the recovery:
a) https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/enrc2b/philz_touch_6.19.3-enrc2b.zip/
b)http://d-h.st/rNC all credit goes to m0narx (team venom).
c)before you can do anything u must need to have adb drivers installed on your pc and HTC usb driver to get your phone when you are in fastboot mode. since u already unlock the phone i hope you have those.
i hope you downloaded the abode files needed
1. You need adb drivers installed on your pc and HTC drivers. once this process is done go to fastboot and connect your usb to the phone. your phone will show fastboot USB.
2. In the kernel flasher you will see a rar file containing many files. just unrar the file and go to the folder, you will see a file called VenomKernelFlasher.exe. open it as administrator . then go to manual tab...then only click on flash recovery image and uncheck other options... then click browse and find your philz recovery that you downloaded early(you have to unzip if its a rar/zip). then you just have to press start flash. keep in mind your phone must be connected in fastboot mode and showing fastboot USB before you press start flash or it will do nothing. there are sometimes the first try wont work. venom flasher may show you an error. but don't worry. press start fash again and you might see successful and you have a recovery in your phone.
now you can go to the recovery mode by pressing power+volume down key and then recovery.
If you successfully done the above process now you just need to install a custom rom in your device from philz recovery and have fun with your phone
I think your phone completely blank and you dont have any rom copied in your phone's memory. now only way to install a rom is go to philz recovery.
I am giving you all the easy proess so that u dont need to know any adb command.
DOWNLOAD this another useful software, WinDroid Universal Android Toolkit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2727916
a)go to philz recovery...then go to install zip....then go to install zip from sideload.
b)on the pc now you go to the toolkit then go to adb commands then press sideload ROM and a box will appear. then you just have to browse your custom rom of your own choice. and wait till it finished. there will be no progress bar. but in the toolkit when the process is done it will show you a message. also in the phone. wait for it to complete.
suggested rom:
Download Android Revolution HD 8.0 from here: http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html
go to htc one x+ section adn download both rom and boot.img.
AFTER YOU COMPLETED THE ABOVE PROCESS YOUR PHONE HAVE A CUSTOM ROM INSTALLED IN YOUR DEVICE. IF YOUR PHONE IS S-ON THEN FOLLOW THE LAST STEP TO SUCCESSFULLY BOOT YOUR PHONE:
now you going to need the boot.img that you downloaded....you have to push the boot.img with adb shell to boot your android phone.
if you know how to do it then fine. if not pm me i will help you out with this also.
