I own a Samsung Galaxy S 2 and 32GB Class 10 SD card. I'm using this phone and SD card for almost 4 years without problem.
I was using CyanogenMod and I decided to install official Samsung Android for S2. Everything was good except "SD card removed unexpectedly" error. I see this error everytime I unlock my phone. I tried almost everything people say in the forums:
I erased SD card from Settings -> Storage -> Erase SD card
I formatted SD card in my PC with FAT and exFAT.
I formatted SD card with ext4 using some application in recovery mode.
Still get "SD card removed unexpectedly" error
After all these, I installed Dirty Unicorns and I was getting the same error in it either.
What should I do? How can I solve this problem?

I've been having trouble with the sd card in my new RAZR. Just this morning I noticed that I had a new notification "Blank SD Card - SD card blank or has unsupported filesystem."
If I clicked the notification it gave me the option to format but it would never format the card. I was still able to mount the drive to my pc so I made a backup of all the files on the card to my computer.
I did quite a bit of searching on the forum and eventually came across a post that said to try formatting the card with this utility:
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/
After I did a quick format with SD Formatter 3.1 I then noticed a new notification "Damaged internal storage - Storage damaged. You may have to reformat it."
Now I'm still able to mount the sd card on my pc via the phone but windows doesn't recognize any disk in the drive. I get this error "There is no disk in drive X. Insert a disk, and then try again."
Has anyone had this issue? Any idea what causes it and how to resolve it? At this point, I have a full backup of the contents, so I'm only concerned with resolving the sd card issues and making the notifications disappear.
Thanks
I had this issue, removed as card and blew into the slot and replaced the card, haven't had it happen again so far.

Yeah, I've powered down the phone, removed the card, replaced it and powered back on but I still have the same errors.
Called Verizon and they told me to go to one of their stores to see if swapping out a new SD Card would fix it. Hopefully the problem doesn't happen again.
Stopped by the Verizon store and they swapped out a new SD card. The "Blank SD Card - SD card blank or has unsupported filesystem" error went away but I still had the "Damaged internal storage - Storage damaged. You may have to reformat it" error. This time it allowed me to format the internal storage.
So it turns out that the SD card was completely hosed and the external SD card got corrupted, but after the format was resolved.
I'm still not sure what caused this but I hope it's not something regular as I have had the phone less than a week.
Every time i got a problem with any external device, like sd card, I use this powerfull tool Aconis Disk Director. It has a lot of options that maybe solve you problem.
I've been seeing this too. How do they swap out the internal sd?

Did u change anything? Kernel, Rom, Firmware version?
U can try to copy all data from sd card to PC, format it and then copy data back to sd card.
Maybe this will fix it. If not it seems to be a prob with sd card itself (Hardware)
CHEERS
yeah I had used many kernels ROMS .etc etc but reverted back everything to stock and unrooted
Hello
For some time, the message "memory card removed", "memory card removed unexpectedly" a few seconds "Preparing memory card". The message appears in the notification bar every time you unlock the screen. MicroSD Card SanDisk Ultra 32GB SDHC card. Changing the official Rom did not help. Formatting the card in your phone has not made improvement. Formatting the card on your computer for FAT, NTFS, does not help. The message, if there is no SD card is clean, but just something to upload images, such as a pair of films that message returned.
Has anyone had or has a similar problem and how to solve it?
Sorry My English is very bad
have you tested the card in other devices? have you tested other cards with the phone?
yes, I tested other cards in the phone and it is with them problems
try a completely stock rom, if that doesn't help, send it to service
AW: SD Card Problems
It seems to be a common problem with the s3. Later your sd card will be destroyed and there is no way to fix it right now. My phone killed my sd card yesterday =(

I have Android one device running Marshmallow 6.0, i have Micro SD card formatted as internal storage, everything worked fine, my internal storage got increased.
But all of sudden (approx after 2 weeks), the device has stopped recognizing the SD Card, i am getting a notification to reinsert the SD Card device.
I have reinserted the SD card number of times, but it's not recognizing the card. Although the same SD Card is shown from another device.
What can i do to get it working? is there any workaround or i need to again reformat it to FAT32 from ext4.
I have updated Nokia 7.2 to Android 10 and yesterday i changed the SD card. Suddenly my phone stopped booting and is asking me to do factory reset.
Any solutions to this problem is appreciated.
Did you format your SD card as "internal storage" then did you change sd card perhaps android userdata partition force encryption ...
you can format your new sd card as "portable storage"
