So I have a week old Galaxy S5 (remorse period is over), but warranty w/ T-Mobile and Samsung there. My phone wouldn't update OTA, but it did with Kies. It also takes a few seconds longer to check for an update. Is this a bad software glitch requiring a reset or something?

I have a Samsung Vibrant I am wondering if the phone is rooted and the lag fix applied will I still receive updates like the GPS fix and any other updates TMobile and Samsung might send out. When 2.2 is sent out will it install on my rooted phone and remove the root and lag fix I have done.
I have the TMobile MyTouch G4 as well doing a comparison and am leaning back to the Vibrant. Any thoughts?
i have samsung galaxy s 2. android version 2.3.6. build number gingerbread.xwkl1 it is bought in India. it is unlocked. there is a problem - from yesterday flight mode is always on and can not be switched off at all. despite the fact it is written in phone options it is off. but the airplane symbol is on screen always and there is no network at all. i have tried kies, restarting phone, etc, no chance.when i try pressing flight mode on , it freezes and is again always on. i have tried factory reset but it wont help. did they fixed it then n there or they change some hardware. means i wanted to know whether it is a software related or hardware related problem.
It was there and then.
They rang the Samsung Service Center and were instructed to do a complete reset/wipe. It was more complicated than just a factory reset. I think they went into the recovery mode and did a wipe there.

just few minutes ago Samsung service center guys said that they have to change the mother board, because after software updating problem remains same and the IMEI number is missing.
Now i have to wait for another two days
My phone is in warranty period so they said it will be replace with no cost. hope after that my phone is okay
Better to wait
and have a phone that works.
Right so I got the Galaxy S3 1st week of June. I received an OTA update last 26th of June and was able to successfully install latest version then (I9300XXALF6 Vietnam). No problems with it. On July 8, I was able to successfully update the S3 to another firmware via Kies (I9300XXBLFB Vietnam). No issues, loved the brightness feature and other extra goodies that came with it.
Here's the problem:
When I woke up this morning though (July 12), I noticed that I was still connected to the Router but could not actually use the internet (I checked my old Galaxy S I9000, the I9000 was still able to use the net). So I decided to fiddle with the S3's toggle switch off and then on. This time, I could no longer connect to the router and I was told that there was an Authentication Error. The router was in the next room so I tried to SIT IMMEDIATELY BESIDE IT, and to my surprise, I am now able to connect to the network. I return to my room and BAM, I get disconnected. I return to the other room where the router was, stand next to it, attempt to reconnect, and BAM, it's back! I tried to turn off the power saving option via the dialer but it didn't seem to change anything. I was hoping that this could be related to the firmware update and have decided to flash an older firmware. Anyone experience this, too? Could use some help. I don't plan to sit beside the router every time I want to use WiFi. Thanks.
Edit: So flashed back to I9300XXALF6 Vietnam firmware but to no avail. Tried rooting and putting in CM9, didn't help either. I read somewhere that this is actually a hardware problem for the S3 (which not all S3's apparently have and something that Samsung has not admitted to) so I'll try to have this replaced..no longer sure if I should replace this with another S3 or move on to the Nexus. =/

So I found this phone in the street. It's a Samsung Galaxy S Mesmerize, (US Cellular) it's also sold as a Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate (Verizon). The phone is beat to hell, screen cracked all over, back is missing, but it's still activated. I've looked all over the internet on how to bypass the lock screen, so I can call numbers in the phone to try and return it, but nothing I've done has worked. I DO NOT want to wipe it, or I'll never be able to return it. I've had it for a day, and no calls have came to it, but texts have. I know it's possible to bypass lock screen by calling the phone, answering and hitting the home button. But I don't know the phone number.
Any help would be appreciated. Again, it's not stolen. I'm trying time return it.
ADB won't work. USB debugging is not enabled. I'm pretty sure this phone isn't rooted.
So I rooted my galaxy s7 Snapdragon Verizon phone
So my problem was It was slow but still usable . The phone was operating half the speed it did when it was factory settings and I unrooted the phone.
So I unrooted the phone and It was still slow and its super annoying.
I tried clearing the cache and factory reset the phone multiple times and it is still slow.
I have looked far and wide and this is my last resort.
How can I return my phone to normal speeds without getting rid of my Verizon stuff and I do not care if I lose my contacts or games or anything else?
This is also preventing me from updating my phone.
