Wifi tether router in the app store... 2.50

Didn't this fellow ask about this being unrooted? Long story short, not without rooting and unrooting at the least and then you have to deal with changing the network name each time. Best choice is to stay rooted And use Wi-Fi tether router.

[Q] Tethering my HTC Tattoo

Hey guys,
I got some questiont upon tethering!
I want to tether my UNROOTED tattoo, i got a 3G network and i was wondering what the best way is to do it. I want to turn my mobile into a wifi hotspot.
I already googled some things about it but i'm a bit confused, can someone explain what apps to get and settings and stuff.
Thanks in advance!
As far as I know you have to have a rooted tattoo. Without root it wont work.
Btw: hotspot mode is impossible, but you can create an adhoc connection.
Sent from my HTC Tattoo using XDA App
1 click root

any ideia how we can do this?
Yes, I think it is possible now.
I've done it on my Vizio tab after the root.
Original idea came from the Nook Color people.

weird, it works with my galaxy nexus and HTC sensation without root....
Hi
Just to inform that there is an alternative process, more automatic, to have ad-hoc connection between smartphone and our tablet.
You need to have root, install BusyBox and with WiFi Ad Hoc enabler you can enable the ad-hoc feature.

Systen settings/More networks/Tethering and portable hotspot/Mobile hotspot - switch on
This will work unless you are using the device on a carrier other than the branded carrier.
My AT&T branded phone will not give me mobile hotspot on T-mobile service.
That is until we get a custom ROM on this thing

Foxfi works. I've used fixfi on both lollipop and marshmallow and it works great on both version.

Yes, look up hotspot 4G for. If your rooted you can replace the hot spot APK under system apps.
