Bricked Alcatel OT 995 Ultra - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On my first attempt at installing a custom ROM (It was a cyanogenmod which I made sure was compatible with my phone through the CM forums), I think I completely ruined my phone and need some help. I followed a video tutorial and decided to have a go with a ROM installer, I uploaded the ROM and Gapps to my SD card and through the app I put it to motion. Little did I know that after the first reboot I get stuck with a an img of the android root with a red triangle and an exclamation mark inside(I wish I could post an image on it but I can't link until I get 10 posts apparently) , and hasn't changed since then. When I try to turn on the phone it simply won't turn on and displays that image, which I guess can only be because all data was wiped. Is there anything I can do to fix it or must I contact the seller to try and get it replaced? Also, would it get replaced or would I get a slap on the face because the warranty doesn't cover these endeavors?

Anyone? Really need help here.

[Q] odin failed, flash recovery.bin cwm

i was trying to root a phone for someone and after odin completed it said it had failed.
the phone is a telus samsung t959d running froyo.
I followed the instructions from (I would post the url for the link but i am not allowed to.)cyanogenmod's wiki, after it failed I rebooted the phone and it got stuck on the screen in the attached pic. I have tried to boot back into download mode to no avail. From the screen it's stuck on I cannot get any tool to register the device as being present, adb, heimdall, zdiag, etc... I even tried fastboot out of desperation. Before I used odin I tried to get the phone to boot into the bootloader but it only ever went to either recovery or a normal boot and I tried every button press combo I could think of and found and nada.
Even running adb reboot bootloader just made the device boot normally. I think that if I could get it to boot to fastboot usb i could then try fastboot. I am new to rooting devices and have successfully rooted my HTC EVO3D and got s-off and simlock removed for any carrier. So I do know how to follow instructions properly, why flashing the recovery.bin failed I don't know and every fix I seem to find says BOOT TO DOWNLOAD MODE. if I could do that I wouldn't be having this problem lol. Anyway can someone please help me figure this out. Thanks. ANd if you need any further info please let me know. I don't want to have to give my friend my phone due to a software issue.
And YES I did pick PDA not anything else.

I kept reading other threads and sadly I din't pully the battery first before disconnecting the usb and repartition may have been checked as I see that it does the as default for my version. Also i turned off ODIN as I was hoping a reboot of my computer might help. I will keep trying to find an answer till someone gets back to me. this post may not even show up if I can't do a second post if no one has replied first.
Everyone was a nub at one time wasn't it FUN hahahahahaha sob cry

I tried a jig and that didn't work. There must be some way of getting the device to give up on completing a task i no longer can give it due to ODIN being shut off.
Why is it that the "how to root/unlocks" never have the "if x fails then do these steps etc..." Had the how to had "pull the battery before disconnecting USB and don't reset or shut off ODIN" I wouldn't be in this mess. I realize that it's user beware but a few important steps like that in case of a fail would go a long way to you guys not shaking your heads. Instead of "silly nub hahahahahaha". No offence but I get that a lot and try to remember that when I teach someone how to use a computer. I am new at phones not at everything.
Further Developments Please can someone help?
I was giving someone a new memory card and they had a Samsung SGH-I896 it has an EB575152VA battery and the one I have the T959D has an EB575152VU battery. I exchanged my battery for hers by accident somehow and when I plugged my phone in it didn't go to the phone triangle computer logo screen it booted to recovery and said it couldn't charge the battery and kept rebooting to recovery. I got my battery back and it booted back to the phone triangle computer logo again. Grrrr....
The other thing I saw while the recovery screen was an error message that said
Code:
E:/data/fota not accessible
(may not be 100% accurate I don't have the battery to check right now but can get it again if need be) anyway I now see that there may be some light at the end of the tunnel. i have the correct stock firmware for the device I tried flashing it while in recovery but the phone kept rebooting before anything got done. My question is how can I get the dang phone to stop asking for Odin and go to recovery so I can flash stock firmware and ROM back to it? As I cannot as far as I know give it what it wants because I reset Odin and nothing seems to see that the phone is connected to the computer. I am going to try the other battery on a full charge to see what that does.
I am new at all this and want to get it fixed. I cannot afford to send it off to a service center and besides that I want to do it myself as I want to become a developer and droid technician. I would gladly donate to anyone but am still trying to get Google to accept my pay-as-you-go credit card and I don't have PayPal either. Which is really frustrating when it comes to giving back. I posted a Q&A on how to without PayPal or CC but as of the last time I checked no one has gotten back to me about it.
The CyanogenMod guide is flat out WRONG. I've tried to change it, but anything I do is reverted in an instant. I also tried to use it to install the ROM only, ended up bricking my phone and it took me hours to unbrick. That's how I became acquainted with XDA.
So, to get this straight:
1. you're using the stock USB cable
2. you remove the battery
3. you hold volume down
4. you plug in the usb cable
5. after a few seconds, you release volume down
6. the screen does not display a yellow triangle with an android

That is correct. If you think that my idea below is a bad one or if I downloaded the wrong firmware package please let me know and /or you have a fix that will work? ty
I have though come up with an idea that may work. I am going to charge the "wrong" battery in erm the right phone lol and then use it to trick the device into booting into recovery instead of the cellphone triangle computer (CTC, for want of a better acronym) The I896 battery ends in a V not an ? (sorry can't rem don't have it on me) from the I896 model I think it is, plugging it into USB with the power off sends it to recovery with the "battery cannot be charged " message instead of the CTC screen.
I tried it but the charge in the battery was too low and rebooted. I am hoping that with a full charge (as long as I don't power on the phone first as this will make it go to CTC logo again.
I am hoping that I can install the update.zip that I made by first unzipping the T959UVJFD_firmware.tar I downloaded then unpacked and then repacked into an update.zip as I don't think that it will read the package as a tar file and if it's not called update.zip The recovery is still stock. If I get the phone working I am not going to try unlocking and rooting it again. I will just post two separate adverts one as a carrier locked device and the other one (higher of course to cover buying the unlock from Telus) as carrier unlocked and then I will buy the unlock code if the blah blah you get the drift. sorry for rambling on.
oh and I can't rem if I said this or not, In recovery it "E:/data/fota not accessible" I don't know what that means yet I have been busy with other things and haven't looked it up yet.
Since you can get into at least some version of recovery, your bootloader is intact and you should be able to unbrick it. You ought to be able to get into download mode using a download jig. You can get one on ebay for a few bucks or you can make one yourself. There's a guide floating around here somewhere that lets you make one from a microusb cable.

[Q] Recovery refuses to work

This problem probably has shown up a lot and usually I would take my time to look around before asking but I'm feeling lazy so here goes:
I recently put in a new-ish ROM (it's am US stock type ROM that I found on here) and all works well except for one thing - the CWM refuses to load. At first I was getting the dead android with the red triangle sticking out and so I decided to use ROM Manager to flash CWM again. Might have been a bad move since I'm still fairly noob-ish but anyhow it didn't work. Now whenever I try to go in it just freezes. If I try manually it shows the RCK box, android box, etc and just stays there. When I try to do it through ROM Manager it stays at the first ASUS logo. Can someone refer me to a guide I could follow or even give me a solution to fix this? I will be very grateful. Thank you in advance.

Please Help me! :( Seemingly bricked my Wave

Ok guys so, I had installed badadroid but after reading around the internet about how certain ROM was faster I decided I would try it, I flashed the uninstall zip in the badadroid thread and followed the instructions on the blog of that certain developer HOWEVER at one point I'm asked to flash a new FOTA and bootfiles with multiloader, I did that but at some point I messed up, now my phone boots up to this screen and sometimes to the recovery provided by the other ROM, following the steps to install that ROM and rebooting doesn't help at all and I keep getting stuck in this screen, my phone shuts down automatically a few seconds later and multiloader doesn't recognize it.
I still have hope because, when plugged in, it boots past this screen and into said recovery, however it seems like Bada was wiped during this process and I can't find a way to go back now (I only found out this happened right after I had already done this)
Is there any way to force it into download mode? I need my phone
Thanks
EDIT: Managed to get into download, will see what I can do, I guess I can work things out now, you can close the thread
Also, sorry for the bad image quality, I took that with my laptop's camera

In any case, don't worry, you can't break wave so easilly.
This Fota have default boot to android and not bada, and if you installed Nand bada is indeed dead.
But you still can flash full bada with Multiloader and you still can install Android with this fota/bootfiles, just make sure to follow installation procedure of your rom (by the way, this fota is compatible with ALL roms)

elephone p2000 working but totally mesed up, read please and help

hi,
"maybe you saw this post elsewhere but i was forwarded here so the rest is the same"
have elephone p2000 with some custom rom on it and working stock recovery. than i flash new rom called resrom 1.5, rooted BUT internal storage is access denied and 0kb. Just to say that my usb port is broken and will be hard to replace it because someone was trying to make it work and totally screwed up.
So anyway I cannot connect to a pc and fix things. Next, cant access recovery, tried to flash new one but to no avail. I am still rooted but even when using some apk to flash new rom or recovery i get msgs like "not enough space" or nothing is happening.
info on the phone:
ELEPHONE P2000 MT 5692
4.4.2
MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V35.P8.2014/11/03
KERNEL 3.4.67 [email protected] #1
BUILD P2000_20150228_RESTORN
Play store ok, calls and the rest is fine, apk i am using: mobileuncle, rashr, auto flasher but nothing gets job done, flashyfy doesn't work and many others. I was looking into init files saw some guide but don t want to mess things even more so i gave up, also wanting to flash boot.img but no proper or functional apk for it.
sometimes on phone start stuck in a loop of screen turn on for 20 sec and then off and its like that until i remove battery, all before rom logo, same thing if i try use buttons combination for recovery or whatever i press in any combination nothing changes.
This is not my first smartphone but is of this kind and funny companies, had problems before with Sony, Samsung but in this extent never, always find YOU guys everybody clever in some fields and as a community more than THE BEST, as you can see i dont post or seek answers by asking, i rather research until now. I fell hopeless, useless and never more stupid, or i m just tired of looking for the answer. In some other case i would give it to my child to play the games an to hell with this phone but its my wife's and she dont want to by a new phone for some reason. Help me to be the man of the house again, kidding, loosing it....
I think I gave you overall picture of the phone state and someone might show me the way to have fully working phone. I forgot, if you are wondering how do i charge battery, well I take it out twice a day and charging on the base of other broken phone, that part i did cover, help me with the rest.
p.s my SD card is working most of the time so this is my only connection to a pc....

Need help with a lg tribute that is stuck in bootloop after a factory reset.

I have been reading everything I can find and tried to figure it out myself but the more I read the more questions I have and the less sure I am about trying any of the things I have read.
My problem is with an lg tribute from the company called Textnow. My friend ordered the phone from them and was having some issue she decided to try to fix by doing a factory reset which caused it to be stuck on the Lg boot logo. I tried booting to recovery to fix it. The recovery was TWRP. I was under the impression that Twrp was a custom recovery program that was installed after unlocking boot loader. Best I can tell is the phone was already rooted by the company. Does this sound right?
I messed with it for while but couldn't get anywhere with it because I haven't any knowledge of rooting except what I read . I noticed it kept saying something about simulating actions and figured that out but now after trying to back up and restore and poking around that it says there is no os , I was hoping someone could help me figure out where to go from here as it isn't my phone and I would hate to damage it although my friend keeps telling me to just try whatever no big loss because she can't use it like it is so.
I am not sure what the phone had for firmware because I cant get it on. I only know that it had twrp 2.8.5.0 as recover not the usual android. I can access the phone internal and external through twrp and though pc and adb. I made sure to get drivers updated. I tried to flash the stock rom from its forum but it failed,. any info would be mush appreciated
