I tried to root my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (SM-P600) and it failed in the middle of flashing. Now I cannot connect the device to Kies, nor can I even boot into recovery. I just get the Firmware upgrade encountered an issue screen. I can only get into download mode. Even so, I can't seem to flash anything. It keeps failing. I just want to get this thing working again. Help, please?
EDIT: Odin finally decided to work, my device works again. *sigh of relief* Can someone please delete this thread?

Hi all
I hope this is in the right section of the forum ?.
Any way.
I have a Galaxy tab 2 10.1 p5110
I have been trying for a few days to install CM10 and managed to complete this. The problem started when I went to check if the tab was rooted and it cam back with a NO. So I tried to install root again via CW which seemed to install fine but still no Root, I then cam across a thread saying I could try to install via Odin so I tried this method which failed the first time, so I tried again. The tab now is saying that I must start a recovery mode in KIES I have tried booting in CW and download mode but to no avail.
I have search the net and people recommend that I download KIES and start from there.
Is this the best solution as Im hit a wall now.
Thanks peeps
If you can enter Download-mode there is nothing "bricked".
Get a full firmware and flash ist with odin - afterwards everything will be fine.
tried the new casual update that was release for android verizon 4.1.2 and now my phone keeps flashing the Galaxy note 2 sign. Can put the phone to download mode but when i try to instal a tar file it fails every time. Anyone fix this issue or can help please!!!
I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 that, during an upgrade something went wrong and now will not boot up. It seems that the recovery is gone. It says on the screen:
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
I have tried the usual Odin procedures and they fail. And Kies will not connect for some reason.
I am at a loss on this one, I hope that someone out there has encountered the same issue and is willing to help me out.
Can anyone help me? Pleaaaaase
I'am desperate to fix my tab :crying:
First time here, im a newbie
I have a samsung tab 2 7" (p3100), 3g wifi, its os is if im not mistaken, 4.0.4
I have been searching online about how to root my tab and I bumped upon a certain thread.
I followed their instructions and flashed CWM to my tab via odin, and when my tab rebooted, it was on a bootloop. The Samsung Tab 2 7.0 will appear then the sound will play then it reboots again and again and again.....
I tried to access recovery mode by waiting for the right timing during the boot loop, the cwm was successfully installed, and when I tried to flash the zip, it was finished, then I rebooted the system but Im still having boot loops, please help me,
Should I go to some technicians in malls?
Im searching the net for almost 8 days for the solution :crying: :crying: thank you in advanced for the answers.. I somehow also cant find a 4.0.4 stock rom, people from other forums said that i just need to revert to the stock rom?
Dear all,
I bought a used Galaxy Player 4.2 (international version) and tried to install CWM Recovery by using Odin. I've waited a long time, but Odin was completely stuck at the step 'SetupConnection'. I disconnected and restarted the device. This was a huge mistake, I think.
Everytime when I turn on the player a message appears and keeps on the screen - 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue' - even when I try to boot in Download Mode.
I tried to flash 'YP-G1FullRestoreIntl2.3.6.tar' which I found here, but no chance. Odins tells me that it was not possible to finish the operation. Hrmpf!
Any ideas what I can do to bring my Galaxy Player back to life or is this the end?
Your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Simon
