Hi my frieSnd I write from Colombia , I think buying the Sansung Galaxy Neo Duos , tell me all about this phone.
Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 16GB
CPU / Procesador Samsung Exynos 4412 / ARM Cortex-A9 MPcore
Clock Procesador / QUAD CORE 1400Mhz 32bits Quad-Core
Memory RAM 1GB LPDDR2
GPU ARM Mali-400
Samsung I9300I Galaxy S3 Neo
Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo Duos GT-i9300i
CPU / Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8228 / ARM Cortex-A7
Clock Processor/ 1400Mhz 32bits Quad-Core
Memory RAM 1,5GB LPDDR2
GPU Qualcomm Adreno 305
Is better the S3 neo than S3 International?
Has better performance S3 neo than S3ยท international?
Is better the processor the S3 neo than S3 international?
How is about the duration of the battery?
How is about the camera? Take good pictures of day and night?
Has lag the dialer?
It is fluid? it is very fast with Android 4,3?
How is the screen? is bright? what about the colors?
Thanks you.
Most of the changes in the neo compared to original I believe are under-the-hood changes. The neo is better in the sense that its CPU and GPU are newer, more powerful than the original and along with more RAM, you'd have a pretty powerful phone. The clock speed on the neo I think is actually 1.2ghz compared to the 1.4ghz on the original(shouldn't make too much of a difference). As far as I know the camera, screen and battery are all the same on both devices. Camera 8mp (don't think they changed the sensor), screen 720pHD super amoled on both and 2100mah battery on both too.
1. S3 neo is better spec wise.
2. Not sure I don't have a s3 neo but I guess performance "should" be better.
3. Processor is better - newer but has lower clock speed.
4.battery is good from what I've seen in reviews
5. Camera excellent during the day, okay at night
Jellybean is generally smooth, but better when you root and remove bloatware.
However, the s3 international has plenty more support on xda with many custom Roms/kernels than the neo does.

dear forum...........
im going to buy a new smartphone.....
at this moment i have two ideas.....
1. galaxy sII
2. lg optimus dual[lg 2X]
GALAXY SII with
Dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor, Mali-400MP GPU, Exynos chipset
LG OPTIMUS DUAL
Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor, ULP GeForce GPU, Tegra 2 AP20H chipset
what is the best.........galaxy or lg?
which gpu is the best geforce or Mali-400MP?
i dnt believe user ideas....can anyone tell me real deal?
is it true that these 2 phones have gpu apart of cpu? or is it intergrated to cpu? like laptop shared gpu?
The O2X is one of the most wretched phones ever to exist. It has LCD screen bleed, reboots randomly, overheats, and has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues. It's the subject of a class action lawsuit in the U.S. and a petition for recall launched by owners in the EU. Read the O2X and G2X forums.
GSII is the best out there atm. You can't compare LG O2X with that, even Sensation won't come.
Go for GSII eyes closed.
Regards.
thanks
ok im going for GSII......
and my last question is is it true galaxy s2 have a gpu apart of cpu?
something like......
1.2GHZ dual core cortex A9 processor with
MALI MP400 GPU?
or its combined into cpu like intel GMA or HD graphics?
or seperate processor and gpu?
Of course it has a GPU. And thats damn powerful.

yea mali mp 400 ryt? is it powerfull like nvidia gpu in optimus 2x?
^ More than that.
hey mate im from sri lanka. and ur a indian ryt? is that galaxy has a bad batery life with heavy usage of video playback? im going to get it tomorrow!
GS II is the best!
I wanted to know if the Sony xperia or incorporates the same gpu that the samsung galaxy s2? ie 400 mali, if so, is a marvel.
regards
anyone can answer me please?
xperia u GPU = DB8500
s2 GPU = Mali-400MP
via gsmarena
but if the gpu has 400 p mali, like the galaxy s2

confirmed mali-400 gpu.. i have the phone and even quadrant says it has the mali400... AMAZING 3d PERFORMANCE~! play gta3 with no lags.
n64 emulator works like butter. psx emulators work @ 50-60fps....
buy it! it totaly worth it!
Sony Xperia U has a Mali400 GPU just like the Samsung Galaxy S2
BUT Samsung Galaxy S2 has a quad-core Mali 400 while Sony Xperia U has a single core Mali 400
Samsung Galaxy S3 has the same quad-core Mali 400 GPU but...overclocked
look at this : http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_tx_t_and_v_benchmarks_are_here_promising_too-news-4722.php
in the results, the new line of sony xperias, r getting better results on benchmarks than galaxy s3. How can it be? How xperia t with almost the same specification than xperia s gets better results than galaxy s3 with his quadcore processor ?
Quad core is not yet optimized in android
Android is not ready yet for quad core
Dual core is more than enough for android (well ICS)
Because i think jellybean quad core will do better (CMIIW)
Its not just Xperia T all device that use S4 "krait" Dual Core benchmark is always better than exynos

Its the next gen snapdragon S4 plus krait processor..u can find out about those over at their site Qualcomm Snapdragon Processors. Just because S3 and HTC ONE X has quad core doesnt make it act fast coz despite of the cores, the normal apps doesn need to use the quads. May be ull get better gaming fps and smoothness with tegra 3 but when its come to web browsing, stability and working potential the snapdragon chipsets actually does a lot of good work. Waiting for the LG Optimus G. Heard they used S4 PRO Quad Krait

Because cores != performance.
Gesendet von meinem LT26i
Because it's not about number of cores.
Typically the phones with more cores run them at slower clock speeds, canceling out the difference.
It's all about getting a BALANCED spec, which includes I/O rates, flash speed, memory channels, memory bandwidth, cpu cores, cpu power management latency and literally hundreds of other factors.
Both Sony and Samsung are tier 1 manufacturers, which is why they know how to spend money in the right areas when it comes to component costs.

XS Use S3 processor, No Ext Memory, no LTE, 12mp camera
While XT S4 processor, Ext Mem, LTE support, and 14mp camera
If you talking about benchmark
Its pretty far i think thanks to the S4
But the downside is the illumination bar
I really love that bar. if xperia T have that bar i will upgrade without thinking anymore

The new gen S4 PRO comes in two form, Dual and Quad..LG Optimus G went with the Quad 1.5GHz and a shattering 320GPU. Its gona be pretty fast in 3D rendered games for sure and as its Qualcomm then u can very easily bet that there battery consumption will be less than usual Quads
Qualcomm doesn't use reference ARM Design. they just get the license for A9/A15.
They have their own Design like Apple with their SoC.
The Sony Xperia S has the MSM8660 which is a Snapdragon S3 (45nm, Single Channel RAM, Andreno 220 GPU).
The Sony Xperia T has the MSM8260a which is a Snapdragon S4 (28nm, Dual Channel RAM, Andreno 225 GPU).
The difference is also in the architecture.
S3 = Scorpion: This is the own Design of Qualcomm which is compareable with ARM Cortex A9
S4 = Krait: This is also designed by Qualcomm and is compareable with ARM Cortex A15
The performance of Snapdragon SoC's is incredible. Its not just, that Android is not yet optimized for Quad-Core SoC's but also the Design.
There are already benches available showing the APQ8064 which is a Quad-Core with Andreno 320 GPU. There is no compareable SoC at the moment and if I'm not wrong the LG Optimus G will get this SoC (Q1/Q2 2013).

For better GPU performance, i have seen Qualcomm betting more on MSM8960 than any other. I am waiting for S4 PRO MSM8960T chipset review (will surely be used over TABS only) lets see what it got. Didnt read nor know anything about APQ8064 model and i dont think dat we will get to know about that chipset unless LG releases their Optimus G. Xperia T has the AP series from S4 PLUS but S4 PRO is a total new ball game . Am guessing that the next gen S4 chips can easily be overclocked to 2GHz+ as my Xperia-S is already running on 1.78GHZ smoothly and its a Dual Core S3 . LG announced 2GB of ram for the Optimus G so, basically, 2GHz+ of overclocked QUAD PROCESSOR with 2GB ram is a must have for any enthusiast android developer/user. And if they manufacturer make it to a perfection than for sure its a must kept for the next 2/3 years as android for quads, wont be developed before that time but WITHIN that time. That 320GPU is already like a cherry on top so for now, am just keeping my fingers crossed to know how the battery will perform :fingers-crossed:. Then again, thats just my prediction and thoughts . As is said before, Qualcomm already won my faith over their chipsets . More like Dejavu ..More power work yet less power consumed

It's not only quadcore + Android not optimized to be the reason that Xperia T and other new Krait S4 CPU powered phones are better then Samsung's S3.
The S3 is powered by the tegra 3, and tegra 3 isn't the newest CPU anymore. It's just the fact that the S4 processor from Qualcomm is newer and better optimized then tegra 3.

S3 powered by Tegra 3? Where did you read that? It has either the Quad Core Exynos or Dual Core S4 Krait in some models variations.

LOL S3 have Quad Core Exynos .. Tegra 3 is for HTC ONE X and Xperia T came with S4 Plus Dual Core Krait which actually has beaten S3 and HTC both to some serious extent. Hell, HTC ONE S beats one x to some serious level BOTTOM LINE : Qualcomm holds the authentic brain power for androids
i heard lot of people saying that I9305 LTE better than the new I9300i neo (duos)
SO i would like to share a little compare between them............................
first see specifications from GSMARENA
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6289&idPhone2=5001
we can see some differences:
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// i9300i //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// i9305 LTE
-4G Network //////////////////////////////////////////////////////// no //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600
-sim /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////dual sim//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// single sim
-release date ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////// 2014 ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// 2012
-protection////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// no ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ///// gorilla glass
-RAM ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// 1.5 GB ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// 2 GB
-USB on the go (otg) /////////////////////////////////////////// no///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// otg + MHL
-OS///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ANDROID 4.3 to 4.4.4//////////////////////////////////////////// ANDROID 4.3 to 4.4.2(not yet)
-CHIPSET///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400//////////////////////// Exynos 4412 Quad
-CPU///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A7///////////////////////////////////// Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9
-GPU//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Adreno 305//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Mali-400MP4
-RADIO//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Stereo FM radio with RDS /////////////////////////////////////////// no
-MIC//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// one mic//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// two mic
so what i see is:
i9305 with single sim its older but is better in display and graphic so is more power in 2D and 3D test!
but i9300i neo with dual sim its newer and more powerful in Processor
in cpu info (pic attached below ):
i9300i appear RAM 2GB DDR (usable 1372 mb) compare to i9305 LTE RAM 2GB DDR (usable 1786 mb)
so can anyone confirm that i9300i neo has real 2GB of ram can be usable with an alternative kernel ! for exmaple!
SO for me i preffer the new I9300I DUOS
see some screenshots for benchmarq testing by me
S3 Neo dual (I9300I) has 1,5 GB RAM with 1.35 GB available for user.
I have used both these phones imo the i9305 is better ?
Sent from my GT-I9305 using XDA Free mobile app
I did some research on this. Cortex a9 is more powerful than a7 and you get more ram. Therefore its more performance wise better. But if you want dual sim then go for neo version. The processor android version dual sim lte or 3g and ram is only different. Other features such as gorilla glass are same.
One more difference is that the Neo doesn't support wireless charging (missing hidden charge port required for Qi backplates to work).
Isn't Adreno 305 better than Mali400? I mean, US version of S3 has Adreno 220 which is chosen to be on par with Mali400, so Adreno 305 means that it's better than Mali, or am I wrong?
Im Only Bothered About The Speed
Which is Faster S5 OR Alpha ??
I want to get the alpha but theres hardly no custom roms for it
should i get s5 ?
The 850f has a score of more than 50.000 in the antutu benchmark, beating the S5 and the note 4 if that's important for you.
I bought the alpha because it looks a lot better than the cheap plastic looking S5.

Alpha Exynos 5 Octa 5430 version
S5 got s801 and Exynos 5422 while Alpha got s801 and Exynos 5430 variables. Both got 2GB ram. Performance-wise is Alpha much faster because it only used 720P screen, especially with the Exynos 5430 one. Though Note4 comes with Eynos 5433 but the 2K screen hogging the CPU/GPU power, in real life performance Note3 is even faster than Note4.

Even thou the S5 gives lower score on antutu it doesnt mean its slower than alpha. The exynos version of alpha has octa core cpu which makes it alot more efficient in multi core processing but its only clocked 1.3/1.8 Mhz, while the S5 quad core is clocked at 2.5 Mhz and that gives a little advantage in single core processing.

Not only the clock speed is important, but also architecture, implementation and manufacturing method and process size (The thing is usually written in nanometers ). All these factors are better on Exynos 5430 than on SD801, so single core performance Exynos alpha should be comparable to SD801 Galaxy S5. :good:
