The LED does have several colors. I use SMS pop up which let's you control it for SMS. There is another app called LED light flow that is more customizable. Other them that the phone is just fast I am just trying to theme this thing how I like it.

1 alarm has a raises volume slowly
2 Dialer has a most common section at the to of favorites with your most 3 dialed
3 Market is in the app drawer
4 You can assign double tap of the home button to a built in app
5 All messages are integrated in the universal inbox (fb, email, texts)
6 led has red, green, blue and white
7 Kickstand has a switch where it turns everything to landscape with an option widget home screen
1. Car dock app allows adding 4 apps (very different from the Epic car dock app, which doesn't)
2. Calendar allows adding multiple alarms to events, so can set an alarm for a day before and an hour before event (don't remember my Epic doing that)
3. Can easily create app groups in stock launcher
Those are a couple I can think of off-hand.

Does anyone know how/if there is a way to prevent notifications from appearing on top of the watch face?
With my original Moto 360 / Android Wear, there was an option to disable this. You could still scroll down to see your notifications and still get vibrate notifications to let you know you got something new. But the notification would not cover the watch face. Any ideas?
This is usually an option on the actual watch face you are using. If there is no option, the watch face probably just has a default that you can't change.
If you are using stock faces from Android Wear, open the app on your phone, select the cog by your watch, then select your watch under your device settings. Scroll down to Card settings and if you want previews to appear.

Thank you! I didn't know there was another menu when I tap my device from the settings menu. This fixes everything, thanks!
Struggling with this also. Nothing stops the watch from blasting a HUGE notification on my screen. This is seriously a major flaw in android wear. They need to copy what the Apple watch does. If you arent looking at your watch, the notification shouldn't show on the screen. When you LOOK at the watch, poof, there it is.
Its getting annoying having everyone reading text messages on my wrist when I receive them. Even if I block the content of the message, they can still see I am receiving one, how often, and their contact picture.
This is seriously a major privacy issue.
I just picked up my new G5 a few days ago and absolutely love this phone. I'm coming out of a G2 which I also loved, so this phone is exactly what I wanted...a bigger, better, badder, faster G2 with a much faster camera. Mission accomplished! There is one thing though which is annoying the crap out of me. I'm guessing it's part of marshmallow since my G2 didn't do this. I use the stock clock widget which gives me quick access to alarms, world clock, stopwatch and countdown timer, all things which I actually use regularly. However, it now pops up a notification in the tray TWO HOURS BEFORE the set alarm time, informing you that you have an upcoming alarm, and asking if you want to dismiss it now! [/run on sentence] Really? If I wanted to be notified two hours earlier, I'd have set the alarm two hours earlier! You can swipe it away, but it comes back. I can't find a way to turn off this function and neither could the LG tech support guy. No I do not wish to root the phone. I like the stock widget except for this one feature which is new apparently. Anyone know a way to disable just this function?
Try disabling notifications for the app while long presing it on the notification bar

Nope. All notification settings in the app are already turned off. Still does it.
Try to long press the notification and disable it

No prob bro. Thanks for trying. Stupid smartphones. ?
Is there a way to get notifications to pop-up when the always on display is active?
You get the icon above the clock. Are you wanting a whole heads up notification or something? The screen to turn on? I don't think there is an option for something like that. At least I haven't seen one.

Yes - I would prefer a pop-up notification for text messages, emails. Was hoping there was a setting I was missing to be able to allow this.
Thanks.

It only shows an icon. I wish it showed the actual message Like Pixel does. but it does not. If your main concern is text messages you can download something like Textra which has an option to wake up the phone when I message arrives. Then you will see the message.

Is there somewhere an app that will also show pop-up messages? Using the Outlook app for example...I find it totally worthless that I get a notification sound but absolutely no popup. I don't want to have to pull the notification center down, I just want a pop up showing the message that I just received.
On that note, I *HATE* how the lock screen INSISTS on combining notifications from an app. If I get 10 emails, I want to see 10 separate notification entries, damn it.
Using Android....is, well, annoying. I shouldn't have to download apps just to make everything work. No wonder my wife rejected the V30 and went back to iOS.

Believe it or not Android is getting better and better with how notifications are handled and how they can be custom tailored per each app. The usage of the notification center is that way for a reason for quick and easy access to your notifications without completely interrupting the user. The cool thing is that there are other apps that you can use in order to adjust the phone to perform how you want it. Android is all about customization. You can have it the way it comes from the manufacturer or you can add apps to customize your experience. For this reason it may take an Android user longer to initially set up a phone vs a iUser.
Good luck.

Hi,
I have been searching in the forum without luck. Is there any face for the Pace where you can see if you have notifications?
Many can be configured to show date/HR/steps/etc but why not a notification counter or icon?
Thanks

There's a limited number of things you can display, built into the watch.
Notifications isn't one of the things you can display on and therefore isn't possible. It would require a change on the watch software.
