Hello. This place is for discussing about CyanogenMod 11 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2547442
Here you can find some answers to your questions. If you have any question use this thread. I and other user will try to help you to deal with this rom.
When should I post in the DEV thread?
If you are...
...posting some patch for the current ROM.
...posting some very insightful information about how to potentially fix a bug/issue.
...discussing bugs or issues at a technical level.
For now new version works very good.
I didn't have freezes for now.
I can't find how to change screen colors because L9 tweaker had been removed and there is no option for it on trickster mod or screen settings.
How do I turn off Headphone boost on trickster mod? what's the default value?
Sorry but i removed screen colors tweak for now.
Headphones boost is disabled by default.

I don't know why but Home Screen scrolling is not smooth. I observed the same problem in nameless, mokee and now this rom.(all other animations are nearly smooth but home screen scrolling bothers me every time)
Are you guys having this problem?

I don't have that problem.
Everything is fast and smooth for me, the fastest rom I tried.
I realized bluetooth doesn't work, downloading new update asap, thanks artas.
Replace dsp manager with viper is a great idea, I always install viper and freeze dsp manager.

After flashing rom through your recovery i am stuck in LG logo, how do i get into recovery through hardware buttons? Is it vol-, home and power button combo? Because i tried it several and still seems to stuck in LG logo!!!

No. This rom and kernel is created to provide good performance and battery life. I don't want to make it more unstable.
can you change color "jasnozielony" in clock settings(at lockscreen) from "oliwkowy" to #ff00ff00 "oczoje#ny zielony"

I have the same problem ! I have flashed TWRP with zip from CWM, rebooted on recovery but I have forgotten to check F2FS related things... After that, I have flashed CM without errors and GApps, and Gapps failed. After reboot, bootanimation has looped, so I have done an hard reboot, but failed to trigger TWRP (bootloop again), and after one other reboot, stuck on LG logo. VolUp+Power triggers bootloader, but right now I havn't any computer...
What can I do ? Thx for help...

Yes, dineshlives, yo have to unlock the bootloader to install the kernel that cyanogen needs and thus install the rom.
In the other hand, you can install roms based in the oficial rom, because it uses the same kernel.
I have the same problem, my phone says Bootloader unlock allowed: No, then I just can install ROMs based in official releases.

Yeah, the rom is fast but have a few bugs, camera flash light and home button led light doesnt works... its a pity...
Here is a fix for camera light: (thanks poolmaker from cyanogen official forum, an he thanks tuxray from xda.forum :cyclops

What about the kernel inside zip file?any problem?

It just wouldn't install: it says unpacking, then no progress bar and suddenly comes message done. But it wouldn't boot-just dark screen. Installed any times, downloaded many times - always MD5 correct. Sometimes only Free xperia boot loop. Luckily discovered that using vol keys during xperia logo takes to recovery.
Always did
1.Factory reset in cwm
2.wipe cache partition
3.wipe dalvik cache
4.Format /system (in mounts and storage)
5.Format /cache
6.Format /Data
Restoring backk 7.2 worked.

Did you factory reset before you flash the ROM? Do all wipes?
Hey All,
I tried looking up answers here and via google, but all of them refer to bootloops/hangs after flashing a rom.
I've been using the prerooted JB rom via the guide given by Pandemic . Following the guide to the letter, the rom is working fine, and the recovery is accessible after installing via atis112's method. However, the problem I've run into is that whenever I restore a backup through CWM after flashing a mod (tested with Cybershot mod and ACiD audio mod), my phone hangs upon cold booting.
Immediately after restoring the backup, the phone boots into the restored OS without any problems, and hot boots (Power button + Volume Up button) also work fine - when I power off the phone and then start it up, it hangs on the sony logo (no bootloop, and can't access CWM recovery), after which I have to use flashtool and follow Pandemic's guide again to get JB. I've tried the following methods to see if anything changes, but the result is the same:
Method 1:
1- Backup through CWM recovery
2- Flash mod and wipe cache+dalvik cache
3- Reboot and test mod
4- Reboot and access recovery
5- Restore created backup
Result: Hangs at cold boot
Method 2:
1-4: same as method 1
5- Advance Restore > restore only /data from created backup
Result: Hangs at cold boot
Method 3:
1-4: same as method 1
5- Normal restore
6- Wipe data/factory reset (preserves any changes on /system, wanted to see if /data was the culprit)
Result: Hangs at cold boot
The above 3 methods were also tried by wiping cache+dalvik cache after restoring the backup, but that had no effect either. Has anyone else been having the same or a similar problem? Can someone kindly refer me to a solution to this?
Edit 1: The phone was finally able to boot into android after about hanging at the sony logo for about 20-25 mins. Tested restoring various other restore points and each time the phone hung for about 20 minutes or so. After that initial boot, the phone boots up within a minute as always. Still haven't been able to narrow down the problem causing the delay on the first boot.
@H4R81N63R bro,I think that's because you installed cybershot mod and AC!D . Try with a clean install of the rom and try installing only cybershot without intsalling AC!D and check if boots without issues. Not sure if this causes the issue but test it if you want.
Thanks for the suggestion. Flashing works fine and the phone boots up without issues. Its just that whenever I restore any backup I had made before flashing the mod, the phone takes a long time at the sony logo only during cold boots (kind of annoying really).

Tried that as well, still the same. The hang ups seem to vary in time though, sometimes its just 10 mins, other times its about 30 mins. Is it possible to somehow see the processing that android is doing during bootup to see where its hanging up (similar to desktop OS'es)?

Can't - have a locked bootloader (might unlock it if someone figures out how to bring back the drm keys, or to circumvent them). It's possible that the devs might know something about this issue, but I'm not sure who to call on.

Hello people, since today i have the exact same problem as the topic maker
I am on stock Jelly Bean 6.2.A.1.100 with thesliding XP kernel (tried v8.3 and v9 beta with same results)
I am really frustrated right now because i don't have cybershot mode nor acid, it started to happen today after i tried a custom rom and didn't liked it so i did a restore with the backup i made .... :/

I haven't been able to find a solution yet. For now, the only thing that works is to boot it up so that it gets stuck on the sony/kernel logo and wait till it boots into the OS (may take 10 mins, or may take 40, can't seem to find a pattern). I do tend to attach the power cable just to be sure that it doesn't run out the battery.
A little off topic and near to your problem, cybershot is only supporting ICS roms at the moment, but I have found that their 4.7.2 and 5.1.1 work with the JB based MoonBreakers v3.5 rom that I have. As for AC!D, haven't been able to make their mod work on JB yet (even the universal one supporting JB 4.1 and above doesn't work).
Hello all, i just wanted to share with you that i have successfully fixed the problem and here is what i did :
I just used Flashtool and flashed the latest stock JB FW which was on the phone earlier, but i unticked the "Wipe data" option, after that i flashed again a custom kernel and now the phone boots normal and i didn't loose any data
Actually that doesn't fix the problem - we are talking about restore because we have multiple mods installed as well - we can't just keep reinstalling all of them every time we test something new.

but device hung up on the sony logo thereafter.
My device is installed cybershot7.9.1 MOD without acid.

Is the next cold boot faster then? If yes, I could live with that.
@ChikeD
Nope, still the same. Even with my second phone with unlocked bootloader I'm stuck at Sony logo after restore
I somewhere read that immediately after restoring the backup reflashing the kernel should help, but that's only an option for UB I guess.
Didn't try that yet.

Hello!
Like you see I don't have permissions to write on developer forum so I am asking here for my problem.
I have installed rom from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265805
Everything is perfect on my Neo V, except one thing:
When I plug in charger or USB-PC cable, sound of connecting is audible but no state of charging is visible. When I enter into BATTERY menu in Settings, I can see increasing percents of battery level, but status of battery is "discharging". No icon of charging, no information on lock screen - nothing. It is frustrating My phone is rooted, CWM 6, kernel from package above. Can I do something to solve this problem?
Thank you for help everyone!

PS. I see forest of hands to help me
I do not use this rom, but I try to help you with some this advice message.
You should try to reflash the stock firmware (the whole firmware, including kernel) and verify if the charging icon appear, then if you like the custom rom, try to flash it again, but be careful with each installation steps.
Try also to clear the battery status from CWM before flashing custom rom.

Hello!
Thank you for answering my question!
Before installing this ROM everything works fine. Now battery shows how many energy left in percent, but when connecting phone to charger it doesn't show "charging" state. I will try to reset battery status before installing this ROM but I do not know if there is such option in CWM 6.
The second problem I saw yesterday is Gallery app crash, when trying to view picture from Camera app. It shows message "unfortunately, app Gallery was stopped". I was trying to clear cache, data, Dalvik cache - no results.
I will try to do what you've said and report back if it helps.
Best regards,
Michał
Hello again!
I've done what you asking for unfortunately with no success... All work fine without charging status and Gallery app (camera app, gallery app, recorder app). Any other ideas?
Thank you,
Michał
The charging issue is present on stock room too?
Or only on this customized rom?
I'll suggest to use for a couples of days stock room to see if the phone is stable: charging ok and the applications do not crash.
Then, if all is ok with the stock room installed, try another customized room or this custom room, but with another custom kernel.
I have my phone (Neo = MT15i) from november 2012, and on the first 4 ... 5 months I used at least one customized room, but in the final I given up to all customized room, and I use a stock room with only few application from a customized room. (InfiniteView, System UI and Calculator).
On stock ROM everything is OK. Do you really think it could be kernel problem? If yes then I wait for update of this kernel.
I also removed batterystats.bin using special app with no effects with charging state. Is there any possibility to change built Gallery app which includes Camera app and sound recorder app?
Besides of described problems I don't see anything else. I though the battery problem can be solved changing something in scripts...
What is strange, that when I connect a cable I hear special sound which signalize charger is plugged in.
Could you propose me a stable kernel compatible with android 4.2.2 (CyanogenMod 10.1)?
Thank you VERY MUCH for response and help!
Michał
Anyone??
Can anyone help me, please?
Stock firmware is slow (full of SONY app which are useless), but this (4.2.2) is much faster, but has bugs...

Here you have a detailed process:
1. Flash the kernel (fastboot)
2. Enter in recovery and format /system (only that) in mount option
3. Flash ROM
4. Flash modules (they are for WiFi)
5. Wipe dalvik (in advanced option)
6. Reboot
Let's hope this will solve your problem
@milanjm - Thank you for detailed instructions!
I will try to flash this new kernel after work (now I am at work ) and will inform you if something changes.
@tiestobunio - Thank you for pointing a good GB ROM.
I will flash it if every solution fails. I won't go back to 2.3.x GB now from known reasons.

This is the ONLY thread you guys will talk about the CrDroid ROM.
DONT post questions or whatever at the other leaked AOSP ROM thread else it'll create much confusion
So far annoyances thats been reported are:
• Random reboots (at least for some people)
• Auto-brightness
• Underclocked CPU
• Not working HDR & Panaroma (solved with workaround)

I have been using the ROM since yesterday though i have yet not observed a single reboot . I have tried following things as suggested in AOSP thread however it does not give me a reboot. Auto Brightness is the only lingering issue i faced !
Any pointers to reproduce the reboots ?

Yeah, first time it happens random, but if it once happens to you, then you will be able to reproduce it.
Anyone try to use the boot.img from leaked AOSP ROM and put I to this ROM? If yes do the random reboot still happening?

I can try this but not sure of the exact steps to follow... I like the CM rom very much.. blazing fast with ART, but random reboots quite often. I am now using wakelock to control the reboots. if you think changing the boot.img can help, i will try it out. lemme know what to do for tht

Before flashing the ROM zip simply replace the boot.img in the crdroid with the one from aosp.
I can try this later but I'm outside now

Done... Flashing went ok but after booting all my apps are gone (I didnt do a clean wipe while flashing.. only wiped dalvik)
The apps are gone anyway.. so i went back to recovery and did another clean flash.. Reboot the phone, but no mobile network. Unable to latch on to network even manually.. so may be there is something missing in the boot.img ?
Back key
Anyone can confirm back key in this rom didnt behave as it should after deleting pre-install files such as baidu services apps
edit 1 - looks like it has been warned by the dev as do not delete keyboard input method or else back button wont work..
Where is the link to the ROM. I'd update OP. Also, is there any bugs with the ROM? Or is it working like AOSP?

My screen broke and I got it replaced by a third party.
I changed the rom today and my touch wasn't working in the new rom. It worked fine in twrp but as soon as i booted into the system it stopped working. I booted back to twrp and it was still working there but not in the rom.
Is there any file or zip that can fix this issue? I know about Agni kernel and it fixes the issue but i suspect that it is also causing lag. I want to test the rom without flashing agni kernel and only using the touch fix zip.
Any help is appreciated.
i love agni kernel (performance and audio boost).
but if not like you this kernel... i dont know if exists a patch.
Probably your new remplace is FOCALTECH.
if you clean install a new rom try with agni kernel again... remember install all kernel over original one and not mod kernel over other mod kernel.
