Hi...which model of the mega do you have and what rom were you on before this happened.
6.3. It's my friends phone she doesn't know what firmware she was on. It was a stock rom. She took an ota and it was stuck on samsung logo. So I flashed it with odin and now its stuck with this message. It won't connect in kies either.

Again.....which model?
I9205, I527 or i527m? Might even be 1 more
And what did you flash in Odin?
Did you just flash a random file on a phone and not know what you were flashing?

Its a i527m. I flashed it with the stock rom for her provider.

Okay go to my post here and download the ROOT_JDQ39.I527MVLUBNA3.tar rom and once downloaded unpack it as it is a zip file and flash the .tar file with odin and this will get you back up and running again..this is a rogers rooted rom but it will still work, if you are on a different carrier then rogers..then just delete any rogers stuff that is on this rom, which is only about 2 things anyways..the phone must have been on the NA3 rom which has knox security in it, and you cannot flash a earlier stock rom like the MH1 anymore as the knox security will not let you...let us know how you make out.
Note: If this phone was updated to the newer kitkat update the NE5 one, then this rom may not work.
Thank you That fixed it.

I was trying to update my phone from gingerbread 2.3.3 to ice cream sandwich. but for some reason it did not go well, so i am all stuck. I tried so many things people suggested in here. Last thing i tried is to flash it with gingerbread firmware as explained in adroiddevicesdotcom. sorry its not letting me paste the full link of any third party website.
now i can see startup screen where it reaches up to big "S" sign with samsung galaxy 2 written at the bottom but its just looping at same screen.
Could anybody please suggest me what else i can try to install its original OS again.
Thanks,
If you need any other info please let me know
Use odin

You can find firmware here:www.sammobile.com
*coughs* Or funnily enough, you can find firmware here and here
Why are you even messing with ICS if you reallly have no idea what you are doing? Didn't you read?
Simple solution to boot loop is a factory reset. I have done this numerous times after flashing a new ROM. Works all the time.

Do you know where I could find instructions on how to flash a PIT?
this is file come from sammobile.com website
providing u the right PIT file with flasher
http://www.mediafire.com/?ddfpfkk2pb8326k
connect ur mobile , open odin program and then press on PIT button and navigate PIT files then (as i think) choose the latest PIT file with name i9300 (ur mobile Model) and latest date and then hit start ..... good luck but i recommend u send it to ur Samsung repair center if warranty cover
good luck
stop!
before messing with pit files, which is extremely dangerous, flash a stock ROM through Odin and then do a factory reset from recovery

Exactly this^^^^....pit file flashing is an absolute last resort, not a first solution
did you tried flashing 4.0.4 stock rom with odin?
same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago, flashing 4.0.4 and after that flashing 4.1.2 fixed it.
try to do not mess with pit especially if you didn't backup your efs folder. it is not needed.

I've already tried to flash a stock firmware, but I still couldn't get it into recovery. I'm not sure if it was the right one though. I have a regular unbranded SIII, is there a specific firmware I should flash?

okay? the first thing to do here is just flash a stock ROM, no need for pit files
Mine was stuck before than samsung logo, on the model number screen. Almost 1 second or less after opening the device.
Then i flashed 4.0.4 and magically it opened without any loop or something. Its useless to flash 4.1.2 or any other jb stock rom, for some reason it seems not fixing the loop issue.
Again, there is no problem related with pit files.

It's all individual, what worked for you might not work for others. Don't say that flashing JB is useless, because it's not
I flashed stock 4.0.4 firmware through odin. The operation was successful, but I was still unable to enter recovery. What am I doing wrong?

Follow the steps to root and flash your custom ROM again as if you just got your phone. The same thing happened to my T999, and it took me 3 tries doing this to finally get back into Recovery.
try to flash in odin stock rom then root use cwm then try to go to recovery..
My cousin's having the same exact issue and we've been unable to find the proper rom. Can anyone please tell me where to get one? I've downloaded some "international" ones but when i try to upload it it keeps telling me failed, i've tried at least 4 or 5 different roms.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!
Phone is:
GT-i9300
using it in the US with StraightTalk in the US (been working like a charm for ~6 months, all of a suddent when into this weird limp mode)
Phone was running jellybean 4.1.1 (through kies) and not rooted
Try several times before giving up. Sometimes it works after when the device feels that you've had enough stress and fear.
I mean the problem is common but it's solved in different ways or different repeats.
But it seems that your problem is a software problem that can be solved.

Hi guys,
I need your help.I want to help a friend of mine to flash stock jb rom.
When tried to flash the first odin stucked at hidden and the second time at system after changing usb port and rebooting the computer.
I found somewhere that flashing pit file then the firm may work
Is that because he didn't do a factory reset before flashing?
He's got an s3 I9300 with orange rom 4.0.4.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Flashing a pit will usually hard brick the phone. If odin is correct version, phone is connected properly and you are flashing the right rom for your phone then the worst had already happened, nand failure.
You are missing a lot of information in your post, what does the screen say in download mode and how did you arrive at needing to flash back to stock?

Write out exactly what the phone screen says when in download mode.
Did you disable Kies before the flash, sounds to me like kies interrupted the flash
I can't contact him right now.Is it sure that the phone won't go back to download mode if the pit file was passed without firm ? If not is it possible to recover it with Jtag ?

Hi experts,
My Galaxy S4 GT-I9506 is bricked with this error:
image 1 (attached)
It doesn't go to recovery mode anymore now!!!
First I tried to install custom Rom to root it with Odin, it did seem fine with "green pass" but didn't actually install any recovery mode (there wasn't any install option in recovery mode, there were only update options), nothing happened to phone at all and it worked normal.
Second i wiped the phone and cache and I download the firmware from Samsung website.
and after try to install, it failed in Odin:
Images 2 & 3 (attached)
I'm not sure but I think it was a wrong firmware, because I bought my phone online (kogan.com i think it is in Hongkong) and I downloaded the Australia Vodafone firmware (as I'm using Vodafone sim card).
anyone can help me?!
I should mention that phone doesn't go to recovery mode, failed in Odin, Kies can not fix it! the drivers all are up to date and no Antivirus runs in my PC.
Please someone help me.
Thanks & regards
Tesius

Tks - I have tried many ROMs from different counties (other ROM or even Kernel, etc...) and upload does not seem to work in ODIN. When you find the right country ROM, did it suddenly work in ODIN?

yes, there are different operator in one country, first u have to find out in which operator of which country your phone is supported, then download the ROM from sammobile, make sure of using last version of Odin, and maybe it takes longer than u expects, for me last about 9min to get the Pass sign...
i had the same problem..so try downloading GT-I9506_501_Stock-Recovery_XXUDOF2 that file from internet and extract..and then flash it using odin..it worked for my s4 gti 9506...
Tried to update it to kitkat 4.4 using Odin and now its bricked. Samsung screen keeps flashing. Kies will not work to fix it. Tried to re flash it but SW Ver Check fail error comes up.
