Hi, for last few days I was trying to find the mod which I saw on screenshot from Z2. Mod changes the oryginal signal bar and on his place are two signal bars, one showing GSM signal strength and second showing LTE signal.
Someone could point me where can I find such mod?

Im running on overstock kernel and my status is always on symbol h and barely 3g or full signal bar is there
Just an H and 1-2bars max
H is actually 3G. Its just a mod on the status bar that changes the 3G icons to H.
You can go to Settings<Wireless and Network<Mobile Network Settings<Network Mode
and change the settings to WCDMA Only. That should lock on to 3G more often.
Be advised that "H" stands for HSDPA which is more commonly known as 3G data.

Tethered Nook Color showing signal strength excellent. However, no connection and no change of colour bars on the signal bars. Usually green bars for connection. Showing white. Un-tethered works fine. Had it tethered yesterday and working well, then added tethered GPS - maybe settings changed by that app? Any help guys - tearing my hair out here, lol - Mark

I explain:
If the strength of the network is low(value custumable or not), desactive 3g to save battery and when it high or middle , active 3g.

How do I get blue signal bars to show constantly in ICS.I always get gray bars and only get blue when turning data on and when turning on Wifi.

It is blue only when successfully connected to Google services.

No there is a bug with it. It doesn't show bars at all until you refresh the screen (off/on) really quick

The topic starter asked about blue/gray signal bars.
Also, I am not aware of any bugs with the signal bars on ICS.
This is a bug or may be a default setting in MiniCm AOSP Lite...in this rom the signal bars are always blue irrespective whether you have a workinng data connection or not....However in FXP CM9 etc it works just fine.....
On some ROMs, I had the bars blue, when I had connected to Google services. Didn't have any other problem with that.
I have 2 network speed notifications in the status bar, even when I turned it off 1 is still there. I've checked for any apps but can't find anything that's causing it. This has only been there since I updated the firmware to .187
I'm at a loss as to where it's coming from.

I switched them both off, but the notification stays there. It's a Chinese spy?
Maybe it's one of your apps. If it's suddenly just appeared then consider what you've installed recently.
It might be an idea to go into your notification settings and disable/re-enable each app in turn to see if the icon disappears?
Could it be because of dual SIM?
I notice that VoLTE is current.
Perhaps this is the speed for this?
Single SIM, Volte was active on last firmware, but I never had 2 network speed notifications, using the same apps as previously.
I've found the problem, network speed monitor app, notifications there's 3 different menus one being network speed icon, now switched to do not display in status bar.
