ok..I think it's a dev phone..but I still don't know which version of recovery to use..International, maybe?

i would suggest making a stock backup and then at least trying the international one.
i've seen a lot of differences between the verizon and sprint builds, but the international ones have all just been listed as international, i did notice that skydragon specifically has an international asian version though, maybe that could lead you in the right direction?

@wyvernwaddell
The recoveries are set up as Sprint, Verizon, and GSM. Which one of those three are you?

Gsm developer phone..on straight talk. Hadn't thought about it that way, thanks! I know where to go now.

RUU for AUS HTC ONE V

Hi Guys/Gals
I have a HTC One V which I have Unlocked and Rooted, I have tried Various custom ROMS with no success, just keeps showing the HTC screen telling me this build is for Dev use only in RED writing.
The problem I am having is finding a stock RUU for this phone, I have found versions for all regions for my radio version number but none will load.
Before you ask no I did not do a backup of my ROM before I loaded the custom ROMS, my BAD.
If someone could suggest or post stock RUU for Australian region, you would save my bacon.

I recently moved over to T-Mobile with my resound. I think I can handle the low data rates as I’m near wifi most of the time. However, is there a ROM that makes things better for me? Phone is currently stock.

I’m willing to wipe it clean and start fresh if that’s easiest. I'm sorry for starting a new thread on the subject but I'm having trouble finding newer content.

not really for data speeds any way...what you get now on t-mobiles edge is what youll get on any rom as of right now...there is roms you can get that go faster than stock and being s-off does help you alot
I went with Evervolv version: 4.0.0b1
I'm really happy with it so far.
Get 220kbps on Edge all over town so at least that's something. Guess I can decrease my data plan ;P

I am not 100% sure on how to do this because this would be my first time unrooting a device so I wanna make sure it is done correctly and I do not brick my device.
Any help would be appreciated.

Need assist to get OTA

Hi Guys,
I have an HTC One M8,

RADIO-1.15.2133156.UA13G
OpenDSP-v38.2.2-00542-M8974.0311
OS-1.54.401.5
eMMC-boot 2048MB
If I undersand, it is an At&t variant? Does it? But the system is 1.54.401.5 (Android Revolution?).
When I attempt to update, this is what I have "We have determined that your phone may be running a modified version of its system software...." (cf the attachement)
What I have to do for receiving the OTA update?
- installing the recovery stock at&T but it doesn't match with the system on my phone
- installing the ruu at&t but i must change my cid to the at&t cid and i can't because i am not using the at&t carrier.
You need the stock AT&T ROM in order to OTA. But if you are not on AT&T's network, you probably won't receive the OTA anyway (this is AT&T specific, most other variants can be updated regardless of what network you are using).
CID has nothing to do with what carrier you use (its not like a SIM lock). It just allows/disallows installing of HTC software based on what version (CID) you have. It doesn't matter anyway, SuperCID will pass the CID check for the AT&T RUU. But did you change the MID also? As long as you have the right MID and SuperCID, you can run the AT&T RUU and just be updated to Lollipop (Lollipop RUU already available, no need to OTA).
Another option, you might consider changing the MID to a version that is better suited for your region (or an unlocked, or Developer's Edition) and install the stock ROM, firmware, and recovery for that version. Then you will be "fully converted" to another version and should get OTAs for that version.
AT&T stock software is a pile of crap, if you ask me. Not that good even on AT&T's network, and even worse if you are on another network.
