I wanted to root my i9100, so after a quick google search I came up with this file: http ://downloadandroidrom. com/file/GalaxyS2/recovery/CWM-KitKatCompatible-i9100.tar
I booted my phone into download mode, and installed the tar via odin. I ticked PDA and pressed "start", everything was fine.
When it finished, I tried to boot my phone but it just won't boot. It's stuck on the Galaxy SII logo with the yellow triangle, and after a few seconds the screen just goes completely black. The phone is on, I can tell because when I plug it in my PC does the USB sound, and automatically installs driver, but there's nothing on the screen.
I can't boot into download or recovery mode either, my phone is basically dead.
Is there any way to get it running?

Had a SGS2 I9100-G, Gingerbread 2.3.5, XXKI4.
1)Tried to flash ICS RR, rebooted, stuck at SAMSUNG LOGO + Exclamation mark;
2)Tried to flash STOCK ROM, got NAND error in Odin, PC - ! - Phone logo shows up;
3)Flashed the GINGERBREAD VERSION kernel from [GUIDE] Fix an unflashable or soft bricked GSII (I9100G/M/P/T VERSION INCLUDED!), rebooted, now the SAMSUNG LOGO + Exclamation mark shows up again;
4)Tried to flash Lightning ROM, Odin failed after writing a while, PC - ! - Phone logo shows up again;
5)Did step 3 again;
6)Tried to flash the Recovery Package/ROM from [GUIDE] Fix an unflashable or soft bricked GSII (I9100G/M/P/T VERSION INCLUDED!) without .PIT and without Re-Partition (steps 1-4), got NAND error;
7)Did step 3 again, JAM;
-----------------------
Now my device cannot be powered on by any combination of buttons, except when I connect it to a power source(PC, AC). After I plug the device, the SAMSUNG LOGO + Exclamation mark shows without any push of button and I cannot acces DOWNLOAD MODE anymore.
Tried evey combination possible: download mode combination before the device gets plugged in, after, long pressing, short pressing ... and nothing.
How can I fix this?
Thank you.
Later: I've made myself a jig. I'll post a photo with it later when I'll manage to get this done.
Later2: **** IT! The jig worked just fine, entered download mode a couple of times. Noticed the counter was still the same, but I didn't care as long as I had could access the download mode. Now the jig is useless ... the download mode no longer shows up. The solding is fine, but I don't see any reason for the jig to stop working. Any ideas?

Bump!
I solved the problem minutes ago. Here's what happened:
1)I was getting the NAND error because the KIES service was still running, althou the processes were killed;
2)The USB cable I was using wasn't working as expected, althou the drivers were installed correctly;
3)The ROM I was trying to flash isn't compatible with 9100G, that's why I had bricked it;
4)When I was unable to access download mode, I've made myself a JIT and succeded to flash a new kernel, but suddenly it stopped working; the JIT was no longer able to enter the download mode ... because the device's battery was empty;
5)Finally I flashed a STOCK GINGERBREAD ROM through PDA and everything went good.
Thanks ... for the views.
Hope this helps someone else.
I tried to flash STOCK ROM. In first attempt, Odin messaged failed. Then I again tried it. Now All thing goes smooth. But when phone is restarted, It doesn't installs anything. And opposite of it shows only samsung vibrant and goes black. I did this couple of time but always same thing.
Now, when I charge phone then it shows up big grey change sign(not green status inside) in loop. And If I press power button, phone shows samsung vibrant and goes black.
After unsuccessful attempt with ODIN, I tried with heimdall. But Heimdall always complains "Failed to detect compatible download-mode device."
Is my vibrant is Hard Bricked. Phone could be sent to download mode by removing battery, holding UP + Down, plugin USB and adding battery back. But Could not go to recovery mode.
Are you sure you used BOTH of the CORRECT files in Odin?
I approve this message.
Try the Tar and Pit from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1319802
Hello there,
I was trying to flash Rj's Custom Kernel to my Glaaxy Player 5 which I had just rooted using SuperOneClick.
I went into download mode (Power+Volume-down+Back button) on my phone, opened up Odin and selected the tar file I downloaded as a PDA, Only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time were checked, nothing else was changed.
Clicked Start and the process appeared to go Successfully in Odin, when the phone was reset the Samsung Logo appeared for longer than usual, and my computer (which was still connected via USB) complained that the USB device was not recognised, then eventually the phone rebooted to the Samsung Logo and the process repeats itself ad infinitum.
The only thing I can do is get the phone back into Download Mode, and flash another rom, but I don't know what to try, can anyone please help me get my phone back to working order?
Cheers,
Blaiz0r.

Hi guys, I flashed cm-13.0-20160820-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO0J2-i9300.zip and everything worked fine BUT I did a factory reset from the system itself not from the recovery and since then my phone is stuck between samsung logo and twrp logo which appears only for a second or two and then back at samsung logo....I cant enter download or recovery mode, I cant turn my phone off, every time I put battery in it, it keeps looping. But I have noticed that when i connect it to my PC it just loops in samsung logo not between twrp and samsung. Help me please ASAP :crying::crying:
Do you have a USB jig to force download mode?
I dont have USB jig, is there any other options? My phone can get to that download mode by pressing buttons and it shows only for a second screen of download mode and then it goes back at looping....
Could be a power button problem?
Well I really dont know because I had removed the button before, it didnt work correctly and now I cant know is it up to button or the software ....
What is working so far
Recovery mode
Download mode
Phone boots but its stuck on 2nd boot animation.
My galaxy s6 edge (T-Mobile - SM-G925T) has been bricked. I flashed the stock android M 6.0.1 firmware through Odin and now my phone does not boot past the second boot animation.
The phone also has a blue led indicator on at all times during this brick.
I tried going to stock recovery and factory resetting the phone with no luck and its still stuck on 2nd boot animation.
I have tried to restore the phone with smart switch but it asks for my serial number which I do not have.
The serial number is not on the back of the phone and I doint have the box.
I put the phone in to download mode and hit the home button to show the "bar code" option but it does not display the serial number at all and its just blank.
I put the phone into download mode tried to flash stock firmware and twrp but it just stays on setup connection in odin by powering off the phone, holding vol down, home power, and vol up again to enter download mode.
But before what I did was I typed the adb commands on my computer to reboot the phone into download mode so I could flash files to the phone through odin but I caint send adb commands to the phone due to this brick.
I did try adb side load in the stock recovery and I tried to side load the stock rom as a flashable zip but it does not want to sideload.
Please help me to solve this problem, thank you very much, I will appreciate all the help.

Try again to flash this
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/89343/G925TUVS4EPH2_G925TTMB4EPH2_TMB/
If it sticks on setup connection again, try a different usb port.
If after this it still bootloops try again to flash twrp and if this works wipe cache/dalvik.
If it doesn't work and just bootloops tell me of any errors you get during the process.
Thank you for the help! I hit the thanks button. I found out why Odin was stuck on setup connection and that was because I was using a bad USB cable, so I tried another cable. After that odin was not stuck on setup connection. Then I flashed stock firmware on Odin and now the phone works!. Thank you for the help!
