Is this normal?I wouldnt think it would be normal.and it gets so hot that you can really hold onto it that long.I stopped using it because of this problem.any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Its normal mine does same when was stock . after u take it off it cools down right?

Magnetic induction tends to heat the coil up... and this is the heat that you feel

So this will not hurt my device or my wireless charger? Thanks In advance!!!

If you peel off the cooper shield on the back cover it will help reduce the heat a bit. Also finding the sweet spot on the wireless charger pad also help too.

Charging makes it pretty hot.. Make sure it doesnt have a case as that will make the phone hotter.
Also kill unused apps once in a while as the more resources you use the hotter the phone will get especially when watching videos or playing games.

it got very hot while i was just surfing the net, won't watch movies or play games on it. It was too hot i counldnt hold it any longer, wasnt charging it either.
Might be faulty. Try taking the batt out and put it back in, if still the same take it back to the place you got it and replace

It felt uncomfortable and it was hot.
I will give it a few extra days and see how it goes when I am back home.

my note not charging while am using it. does any one has the same problem? ?

Hi guys i used to have galaxy s2 before i bought the galaxy note.my s2 used to charge in the background even though am using it.but i found note dont charge the battery when am using it.i dont think this is a special feature samsung gave it to customers i never saw a device having this type of issue. Is anyone having same problem. Is there any solution for this. Thanq guys
That's because the phone uses more power than the stock charger provides.
This is normal, but you may have better luck using a different charger.
How long have you had the phone? And are you using the stock wall charger?

Are you using an overclocked kernel? If so, that along with high brightness setting and using the stock charger could cause that to happen. plus it takes a few days of full charging amd discharge before the battery is calibrated.
Am using it from 2 months.am using original charger.

I had the same problem. If you get the wire at the AT&T store that is a charging only wire it seems to provide the phone with 1 amp of power from the original charging block. Or you can buy a wire off eBay like I did and it does the job.

Which ebay seller? Many sell bogus charge only cable...
Download current widget https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manor.currentwidget&hl=en
Use a 10 divider and if the widget shows 990-1000ma then you're good as far as the charger.
Now even with 1000ma chargin, if the screen is on, playing music, and navigation. It will either stay the same charge or charge very very slow. (very)
CobraCables... I purchased 3 six foot charging cables. One was broken and the seller asked no questions and sent me a new one. All cables come with a 2 year warranty and are high quality.

I recommend a 2A charger like the HP Touch pad unit. The phone only draws as much as is needed. It also come with a good quality and thick cable.

[Q] (Q) Can you put pressure on a battery?

Instead of buying an extended battery for my note I want to buy an extra battery and keep it in my wallet, which I keep in my back pocket. Would the battery leak if I were to sit or would it be alright for me to keep the battery in my wallet?
It would be perfectly fine. I leave every morning with a full charge on my phone and spare battery. The spare sits in my wallet which stays in my back pockets all day. I'm in and out of chairs all day with no issues. To each their own but I love the spare battery option...

I also keep a spare OEM battery in my pocket everyday. Never had a problem.

I'm getting a battery shape outline worn into my wallet.
Good to know, I was worried the battery would overheat or leak.

Any app that can do this?

I was wondering if there is an app/option that can tell you how fast the phone is charging, the amperage if the charge and/or the rate
I have a feeling one of my galaxy s1 wall bricks ifs dying but I can't tell for sure and the damn connections on the charging cables are too small for me to use a multimeter

galaxy charging current does.
you can also go to /sys/class/power_supply/battery/current_now you can get the same results. oddly, both show 460 when not charging.
Dashclock has a battery extension which shows battery and charging info.... See if that helps

Original Charger Specs

Can someone tell me what the original adaptive fast charger specs are(I don't have mine w/ me and won't for a while)? I'm looking for another wall charger but don't want to spend the $35 for the OEM one. I do, however, want to make sure if I get a knock off it has the same specs. Is it 5V 2.1amps?
I'm also looking at these quick charge power bricks on Amazon and again, want to make sure it provides the same specs as the original charger. I'm trying not to wear out this battery w/ all different voltages going to it when I charge w/ different chargers.
I don't know if you will be able to see.. but download the pic and zoom..
Perfect thank you!!

If I were to use a external battery to charge my gs6e, would that wear out my gs6e battery quicker or damage it? Mines outputs at 5v 1A

Anyone??

No but you won't get fast charging.
