Hello. I thought I would share this little tip for people who enjoy AOSP roms, but miss the 1080p option in the YouTube app.
Simply change this line in your build.prop file.
ro.build.version.release=4.4.4
change it to:
ro.build.version.release=4.4.2
Save it
Reboot your device.
If it doesn't work right away you simply go to YouTube App Info and press Clear cache and Clear data. Then open the YouTube app again and enjoy 1080p!

Nice! BTW this should also enable the 1440p option, if you happen to own a device with a Quad HD display!
it's all fun and games but the real question here is why it doesn't work on stock LG that has "4.4.2" in it's build.prop as is.

Yeah. That is very strange if that is indeed the case... The G3 ported roms all work great with 1080p though... I think Google will soon flip the switch and make it work out of the box

One guy did nand' my Miui nandroid onto a Mx2 236 and wifi did not work so this would be the same but if you are on unlimited data everything else video, sound may work on the Mx2 236.
You can # these out yourself. Use Root Explorer to unzip MIUI4DX2B1.zip and edit then rezip. Done.

I have vids on you tube working great but just in hq. If hq is off vids bomb.
I may have done some other hacks to get this not sure It could be turning all the compatibility off plus the browser.

YouTube works fine for me as long as HD is selceted if not they will not play

I know you can turn it off manually for individual apps, but I don't know about changing what it defaults to for all user apps. I would imagine you probably can, though how is past my understanding of android.

I have been running MIUI and it runs great on the MX2. Everything works except for wifi. Even themes work!

A little workaround might help.
Change your device's name to an Xperia device. Restart phone and try updating it via play store.

I've been looking for the commit that caused my instagram videos to stop working. It also affects mirroring the screen to a chromecast. That's on the horizon. What is definitely new is some changes to the snd_soc_msm file that came from someone at CM.
If there are any blatant issues let me know And I'll see what I can do to remedy them.

I've been using it all day today and I haven't noticed anything totally funky. There is still the Netflix bug where you have to tap at different places on the seek bar to get a clear image. Also the Camera doesn't record video higher than QVGA. The Netflix bug goes all the back to Cyanogenmod but the Video recording may be fixable.
Tried the fix for the camera under cm11 thread ? Many reported it worked but it still fc'd

Stock camera doesn't work even after the fix ..!
I found the media profiles fix but it looks like I'm still getting errors trying to upload videos to Instagram. The video plays back as all black. I'll add it to the ROM anyway. Maybe I can figure out if it's just Instagram or the media encoding.

and are you going to update to PA 4.4.5 or 4.5 ...?

@kjjjnob is right. The recents are in 4.5 And I haven't been able to find that source on github but someone can point me to it if I'm wrong. At the moment I'm making a mirror so I can put out 4.45 later this week but I derped and forgot to do it before I left school earlier this week so I'm using my home internet that is about 150 KB/s. It may be later this week.
The 1080p fix for the back camera doesn't actually result in working recording. When trying to stop the recording it force closes the camera at least with the google camera. I've left it out for this reason until I find something that actually makes it work.

I do check out the stuff he pushes but haven't really added anything device specific yet. How does the man know so much Motorola stuff? He's gotta have some kind of inside experience.

Dhacker is magic ahah. Maybe you try to talk with DJLamontagneIII, he merge updates on Slim Kang rom (CAF and prima updates) from Team Gummy kernel The last build works perfect, what's the problem with Instagram?

Whenever I record a video with instagram and try to upload it I get nothing but black video. Audio works fine on it but for whatever the reason the video doesn't show.

Of Course I made this app to fix a very specific problem i.e "vp9 codec issue"
If you have any other problems then this app won't help.
P.S. The bug is fixed now so the app is no longer required.
Its still persists on my device.. Maybe its my ROM
This is reportedly working on Zenfone 2 Laser variants running Oreo.
Couple days ago a new port for Google Camera was released with support for a few devices which include the OnePlus 3/3T and the OnePlus 5.
With this update a lot has changed, like support for Camera HDR+ with RAW support, full HDR+ customisation. But this for everything to work properly you need to tweak the developer setting in the app settings so that everything could work as expected. After trying tens of combination I got almost everything working as it was supposed to and also a few extra things (^^). Like hdr+ with zsl, smart burst, raw, 60fps video recording, slow motion etc.

NOTE : FOR SLOW MOTION TO WORK YOU NEED TO ROOT YOUR DEVICE WITH MAGISK AND INSTALL A MODULE.

To significantly reduce the processing(capture time for her+) time you could set the buffer time to either 1 or 3 and restart the app. But the application crashes more if you do so.

First off thank you but I didn't do any of the hard work, all the hard work went to porting which I didn't do I just found a working configuration.
Check the ss and see if everything is similar to what I have after that video eis should work if still it doesn't then clear app data and try again.
This camera works great on LOS15, wish there was a full manual mode.

How is this different than other Ivanich mods?
If not, then this thread is obsolete because we already have 2 other threads about gcam.

Okay i did not say that you won't have any crash and can you show anywhere else that some has provided as configuration that enables 'everything' in gcam ?
If yes then only this thread is obsolete.
BTW it freezes/crashes 1 out of 5 times.
