So I bought this quirky tablet not realizing how quirky it really is. Problem is that no one seems to even own of the Gardner GoTab 6 Inch, much less heard of it. Googled gotab root guides and pretty much got nothing. Googled 4.0.4 guides, xda question came up and the guy was told to check the firmware version in settings and I don't have firmware info displayed. Its a sucky tablet much like I expected but I've bought plenty o apps on the playstore requiring root. From basically a few performance boosters and other system edits.
I know a gotab specific root guide is out of the question, however I'm hoping someone here has an appropriate guide suggestion for generic 4.0.4.
Here is the info in my about settings exacta:
Model Number: GOTAB
Android Version: 4.0.4
Baseband Version: 1.5realse
Build Number: GOTAB-GBT6-20121127
Kernal Version: 3.0.8+

I know someone knows... its just a matter of being on the front 2 pages at the same time they're browsing.
Anyways recov menu says its system recovery <3e> if that helps.
Has option to update from external storage, wipe data and cache, and apply update from cache.
How did you get into recovery on the device - Vol + or - with power doesnt help
This method is working fine for the spanish clone :

Other apks are required to check root and grant SuperUser premissions

I have the same device a month ago, me too i was search for Lollipop ROM without find anything, but with the Root i have succeeded to Root it with "kingo root" app on windows, i will guide you how :
1_ connect the pc with the same TV you plugged the Merlin device on it.
2_ connect the Merlin device with the Pc with usb cable (plugged the usb in Merlin in the other port not in the one of charger )
3_ after connect with pc go to settings>USB> enable connect to pc.
4_ go to kingo root open it and it will recognized the Merlin device.
5_ click on "ROOT" (it May recognized like if it already root but even that click on "ROOT AGAIN")
Merlin device it will be restart and that's all. (To be sure it ROOT install root checker from play store )

Hi everyone i have an android device [ Lenovo TB3-710I ( build : TB3-710I_S000034_161227_ROW) android ver: 5.1 and the chipset platform is : MT8321 ]
**i tried to root it manually but i have a problem that my device didn't show up in nautilus when i put it in the recovery mood using @N'ayam Amarsh'e
way https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2684210.
**i tried to root it using MtkDroid Tools but i have error message: " --- ERROR : --- TotalBytesPerChunk Not Found. Set default Page/Spare=2048/64 !!!" and i lookup to fix the probelm but all the solution didn't work with me :
"Solution: Slot in an SD card into the phone and install Busybox on the phone
Ensure the phone is an MTK phone
Download MTK Droid Tools froma different source"
and i can't create scatter file too .
** i tried to root it by SRSROOT (#SRSRoot: Lenovo Lenovo TB3-710I (Build: TB3-710I_S000034_161227_ROW) #Android 5.1 Now Supported for #Root at http://www.SRSRoot.com) so i updated my device from (TB3-710I_S000033_161128_ROW) to (TB3-710I_S000034_161227_ROW) but the root didn't work too and it seems that the build srsroot is supporting had a different chipset platform : MT6580 i don't know what to do i need help to root my device please.
Have Lenovo Tb3-710I. Want to print to my non wireless HP LaserJet and display to my Samsung HDMI non smart LCD TV. Is it possible?
Find a custom recovery for your device and install the Supersu flashable zip.
try magisk systemless root.. first, please backup your firmware as there are no downloadable firmware for mt8321 version. You can look in the internet how to backup row and create a flashable firmware from google. My tb3-710i destroyed already because i flashed the mt6850 platform into it.
Hey.
I have a question, if there is anyone who knows how to help me with getting root access for my phone (Tesla 6.2 lite).
Before I continue: this is my first post on this forum, so I don't even know if the topic is in the correct "department", so please mods feel free to move it to another section if it is not correct. Thank you.
Ok back to my problem:
I have this phone (mentioned above), which I need root access to. I have tried with one-click root programes (KingoRoot, KingRoot, OneClick, ...) and had no luck. Then I went on to try MTKdroidTools, SP_Flash_Tools, and yet no luck. All I was able to do is to unlock bootloader using Fastboot in CMD.
I have also tried booting .img files through SDcard and didn't work. I don't know all about rooting, but this is such a specific phone, that I wasn't able to find any tutorial on how to do it properly. I used to root my Huawei P7 and Samsung S5, Samsung Ace; but that was very easy via one-click root options and/or SDcard flashing (for custom ROMs).
I tried with USB debugging on, OEM on, ...
To recap, I only need an "admin" or "root" access to my phone, not necessarily a full custom ROM.
Specs:
Phone - Tesla 6.2 Lite
Model um. - SP6.2_Lite
Chip - MT6737M
MS Board. - F5C
Kernel ver. - 3.18.19+ ([email protected] #1)
Android ver. - 6.0
Appreciate the experts help!
Thanks
