USB ANT+ Stick - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would like to buy a ANT+ stick (https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/shop-by-accessories/fitness-sensors/usb-ant-stick-/prod10997.html) to connect my cadence sensor with endomondo but before I do it I want to ensure myself that it will be working with my phone.
Do I have instal some apps to run it? Will it work on every ROM?

This page has good info on ANT Support on phones "thisisant.com/consumer/ant-101/ant-in-phones"

Connection of ANT+ accessories

I've just bought a cadence sensor which supports ANT+ (http://www.btwin.com/en/cyclometers/3364-ant-speedrate-sensor.html), but I've no idea how to synchronise it with the phone (mango). I want to use it with endomondo app which should support such a connection.
Can somebody help?

bluetooth

Hi I am new to these forums. I have a amicroe force tablet running jellybean 2.2. My tablet does not have bluetooth, I want to buy a USB dongle for Bluetooth but I don't have the Bluetooth setting screen so even if the dongle works I don't have a way to search and pair devices. Is there a way I can just download the android on my phone add the code required to add the Bluetooth settings screen then flash it back onto tablet. So everything works properly.
Thanks let me know if you need more info. Sorry if I got some of the "lingo" wrong.

Enabling ANT+ support on Lg G2 Mini with ANT+ USB adapter

Hi everyone,
i know that ANT+ is not hardware enabled itself on the LG G2 mini, but had someone of you luck with activating ANT+ itself on the device while using for example the ANT USB Service App from the Play Store a USB OTG Cable and and a ANT+ USB Stick?
I only want to make sure that when i use the Garmin Connect App it will recognize my Garmin HR strap through the combination mentioned above. If someone has tested it and it works for him/her i would be thankful to let me know about it.
I know that many Sony Xperia devices have ANT+ hardware enabled, but the LG G2 Mini seems to be a much better option than for example the Xperia M2 and i would like to use ANT+ anyway.
Thanks again for any responses.
Greetings to all of you.

Issue with ANT+ services and Oreo

Hi there,
I have an LGV30 (AT&T), stock ROM
Except the signal issues I am pretty happy with it.
I was wondering if anyone can help me on this one and thank you all in advance.
My issue (since the Oreo update) is when I connect my Garmin USB ANT Stick via OTG cable the phone starts behaving weirdly.
First of all the ANT+ services don't work correctly (as they used to with Nougat) meaning the fitness apps that need the ANT+ sensors cant find them.
And second the Bluetooth icon at the top starts blinking and all Bluetooth devices are disconnected. The Bluetooth cannot be switched on or off anymore. The switch in settings is grayed out and cannot be used.
I think there is some connection/mix up with ANT+ services and Bluetooth radio and in the end none of them works.
The only way to make Bluetooth work again is by unplugging the USB ANT Stick and restart the phone.
What I have tried so far:
Disable all radio connections manually before plugging in the USB ANT Stick. Same result: Bluetooth icon flashing and neither the ANT+ services work or Bluetooth.
Different OTG cable. Same effect.
Different USB ANT Stick. Same story.
Different apps. Same thing.
Tried different modes for the OTG connection: Charging mode , Power supply, MTP etc. to no avail.
The USB ANT Stick on my old Nexus 7 (running stock Marshmallow) works with no issues.
LG V30 ant+
I was never able to get ant+ to work on my V30. That said, by uninstalling all ant+ related apps and clearing bluetooth cache, I was able to connect my Garmin Vector 3 pedals and Wahoo KICKR simultaneously and powermatch using trainerroad. Garmin Connect also worked well.

Question about ant+

I bought me a heart monitor that has both Bluetooth and ant+. I searched and found that none of LG phones are officially supported but was suggested to download the ant+ tester to see if there is ant+ hardware. In the picture I uploaded it sure looks like everything is there for it to work.
When I reboot the phone and try to connect the monitor it shows both the Bluetooth and ant+ options available to connect. When you select ant+ it circle of deaths trying to connect. It will also cause the Bluetooth switch in the notification to flicker on and off and you can't turn it on untill a reboot.
My thinking is the hardware has to be there or it wouldn't read there being an ant+ device to connect to.
Has anyone messed with ant+ much?
Still can't find much info
