Hey. I bought on ebay without searching a set of Sony Mh1 earphones. But later i saw that its the old OMTP model instead of the CTIA. From my understanding there will be malfunctions like the volume up/down or the answer call button. But will the quality of sound be as is supposed to be? (or will it work at all?). I read that on some phones the sound is ok, but on others there are problems e.g the maximum volume is too low. Does anyone know for sure? Thx !

How about Galaxy S2? Anyone experience problem with it? I'm about to choose either LG 2x or Galaxy S2 right now for my next phone.
Thanks.
I had it 1 month unrooted, just a huge pile of apps installed. It rebooted 2 times by itself and some FC's on a nasty app, but just about it.
The software is very stable. Hardware side: below average audio quality / low volume (headset and speaker)
There aren't other problems noticed on my phone so far
No problems and no low audio either .

No problem here, completely on stock w/ latest kies firmware. Volume is fine here too w/ my headphones.
Low volume. It's a known bug and won't be solved, since it's on samsungs end and they don't care to fix it.
Just google it. You'll change your mind about buying into the sgs2 hype once you realize, like I did, how useless a phone that links media + phone volume to one bar, and has such low volume to begin with (especially if there is ANY ambient noise around you).
I have excellent sound volume other users who have sound problems have found fixes .

i would say the only issues with this phone are (mostly) the people using it....
Guys, I don't know what are you talking about... My speaker/headphones volume is just fine
sorry if this question is outdated.. but do we now have a rom or a kernel that fixes the bluetooth sound quality issue over ace? i know some models still dont have fixes for that issue but I'm pushing my luck.. because I'm really tired of bringing my old nokia phone so I can use my bluetooth stereo headset for a better quality sound.. thanks in advance guys
My sound is perfect?? It matters more on the Bluetooth headset itself and its compatibility

no it's not about compatibility.. have tried my bluetooth stereo headset to other non android phones and it gives a clear output.. but when i try it to android phones it gives a crappy sound (metallic or echoing sounds).. have tried it with xperia and s2.. again Ive read about this issue from other threads.. Im just pushing my luck if this has been fixed already via kernels ..
I have the powerbeats by beats by dre
The issue I have is that if I don't have music playing (I use PowerAmp pro) I can make and receive calls fine although the volume button etc doesn't work through the head phones. My biggest issue is that if I have music playing I cannot hear or speak throuh the headset. I need to use the phone. I am running Jellybean, international S3 I9300

The box says iphone and android. Blasted LIARS!!!!
Oh well, that's a $129 down the drain. Didn't sound that much better either if at all...........
The issue with there being so many Android OEM's is that they have different standards for the headset jack and ect. I think that the Powerbeats only work with HTC devices
Yeah this is definately a bummer. The talk control thingy was not working on Some of the old htc devices but a updated kernal fixed that and I had total control talk via handsfree and also skip back forward music etc.
Can this issue with beats headphone just lye with a kernal issue or is it definately headphones compatability issue with s3 . definately not android issue. Buttons issue was fixed due to the p2pjack kernal for desire hd.
I can on listen and control my music through headphones but not able to accept calls or talk.

Here is a funny thing.
I had a custom ROM and I've since flashed to stock. No change
I have a co worker with a stock S3 running 4.1.1 and it works perfect both my beats and her beats. I try it in a Note 2 with custom ROM works perfect. I try it in a Note 2 with stock ROM works perfect. I try it with another stock s# running 4.1.1 doesn't work.........
We're suppose to get in a new batch today, I will try the headsets with that and if it works I will list my device as faulty and swap out.
Every other headset works on my phone except beats.
OK, I think I've narrowed it down. It's a connection issue. I found that if I play with how far in I put the ead set piece into the phone determines whether it works or not. I found that with the piece inserted maybe a millimeter before being completly in it works........
None of the methods work for me. PowerBeats on ATT S3 4.1.1 I hate this so much. They work perfectly on my work phone! Blackberry 9900. Are you kidding me... works on blackberry but not the S3....?
Anyone find a trick or fix? Connections on stock Samsung headset and PowerBeats match up perfectly.
Hey guys.
I bought a new HTC Desire X because I gave my old one to my sister. Everything works fine but when I play music, the Volume is too low and it gave me a warning too that I shouldnt listen too loud. When I put the Volume at the my new HTC DX on 100% its like 70% on the old one. I tested the same headphones (Sennheiser CX300), the same player and the same mp3 file. The old HTC is much louder.
SO does anyone know why this happens? Is there a way to solve.
My HTC Desire has Vodafon Branding (no vodafon intro though) and I bought in the EU.
So maybe someone knows a solution?
Thanks
Hi - ...I like to play my music loud. Sadly the EU don't want me to do this, and have imposed a volume cap (headphones) on all mobile phones (I didn't know this at first and spent *a year* trying to find the loudest/best phone for music before finding out that that quest was hopeless).
Does anyone know if the euro version of the oneplus X has this applied or not? ...in orther words does the Chinese variant go louder (headphones)?
I own a OPO that I bought via the OnePlus site (ie a european model) - and i don't think that had the cap applied - though it might have done.
thanks all-
Oli.
It's for your own good. Why do you want to ruin your hearing? Might want to buy some decent noise cancelling earphones instead of just ramping up the volume.

I think you're right because any volume or bass booster I use the result of the loudspeaker remains the same but it increases a bit in the headphones.

Products that come here are bound to European rules and regulations, so of course the cap is there.
Most products that we use in EU are made in China and have that cap, so the OnePlus X is no exception to the rule.
This in not about volume but output power. for example - if you have earphones like SoundMagic E10 (with i have) - it will be ok with OPX with EU software. But if you want to listen music on some bigger earphones with for example 120Ohm resistance - you will have problem because it will not be enough to power up those bigger earphones.
For DARIF i have some useful tip: buy some MICRO USB OTG cable and DAC that is called Dragonfly that is made by Audioquest - it will boost up not only power but also quality of sound. With this device i strongly recommend that use it with USB AUDIO PLAYER program.
