Hey guys,
I have pre ordered the S3 ( AT&T) version and I will be using it in Canada, now I am not sure if I should cancel my preorder and buy the international version or stick with AT&T unlocked one, I bought it because it does support LTE but at the moment Fido doesn't support LTE ( they said they will this year).
I am worried about the battery life since I read that LTE eats the battery, can I disable LTE? Also what about firmware updates since I am in another country and the phone is for AT&T, would I be able to upgrade to the latest once they release it and how?
I have never used android before and I don't know alot about phone so my questions might be noobish

I don't think the AT&T version is unlocked. I think it is locked to that carrier and you can only use it on AT&T. I suggest you get the international version.

It is actually unlocked, I am worried in terms of updating the firmware and stuff, so if at&t releases an update how can I get it? and also is there an option in Android to disable LTE?
Thanks
Hey all,
I haven't been keeping up with the news lately, but has Verizon updated the RAZR Maxx's radio for use as a world phone yet? My phone currently has the latest stock software on it. It isn't not rooted.
In order to use it in Hong Kong, I'm just wondering if I can just pop in a SIM card and be ready to go? Or do I need to get it unlocked from Verizon?
Thanks!
I am not a Verizon Customer but I am getting a deal for Verizon note 2 on eBay which I am planning to get to use in Asia only, more in India and Singapore!
I saw a lot of threads but more or less they made unclear for me!
Can someone confirm me whether with Verizon Galaxy note 2,, I will be able to use the phone in India/Singapore!
I am okay with 3G Data but I need Text/Voice and all other features functioning. I heard that VZW 4.1.2 update with I605VRAMC3 has fixed the APN Issue and all others!
Also do i need a VZW Sim Card to use this phone in Asia anytime to get it functioned since I don't own any Verizon Sim Cards?
I'm currently using a Tmobile SGH-T999 unlocked on AT&T network.
Att just released kitkat for their version of the S3 but I can not get it OTA. Is there a way for me to upgrade? My device is not rooted.
I don't think so until T-Mobile pushes out Kitkat for their S3s regardless of which network you're on, because its a T-Mobile model its up to them to release the update for your phone
Hi, I recently purchased an international phone LG G5 online claimed to be LTE compatible. When i inserted my SIM, it does not connect to Verizon when it should have. I have Verizon Prepaid service though if that make a difference. When i bring this phone to Verizon retail store, representative told me that they are unable to assist me as this phone is not directly from their company. Should i go back to a different Verizon retail store and see if i can get another SIM set up? What can i do? Please help. Thank you!

Which model did you get? I don't think the international models have support for CDMA. Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular are all carriers that use CDMA.
