We want more twitter clients than the official one like those of apple and android. WP8 twitter clients will add to the beauty of OS & Nokia and will give vast space for personal preferences. Wish to see this coming true soon.
But there are plenty. What do you need?

I'd like an app like buffer. I used to have an android device and used it a LOT, infinite buffer isn't doing the trick for some reason... any thoughts or suggestions?

There are so many Twitter apps out there and I'm having a hard time picking one. I used to use the "official" app but it seems to have lots of issues, it likes to give me a black screen if I open it more than 3 times without rebooting, so I'm in the market for another! I don't want anything too heavy, I primarily just read my feed and post tweets. I only have 1 account so multiple account support isn't a requirement.
What do you guys use?

Plume is excellent. There is a paid version also which I use.
I'd go with Plume, Tweetcaster or UberSocial (what was called Twidroyd).
We did a two part Guide on all the best Twitter apps here:

you should try twicca .. hands down the best
TWICCA
I can't believe nobody has mentioned tweetdeck!
It's the best for me (plus you can add a Facebook account)

i used to use tweetdeck before twicca ... but i just like twicca better. the one thing i did like about tweetdeck though that you cant do on the other clients is being able to RT people with protected tweets

I think these are only available to Nokia Phones. Hopefully, they make them available to all WP7 phones, because they're really awesome.
Why does everyone want Nokia Drive?!!!!!!
I think Bing Maps is awesome.. what is it missing?
I use WPCentral & WMPoweruser a lot. Also mehdoh for twitter. Other than that I use a lot of photo apps & Xbox live games, especially Splinter Cell. Also use the people hub for most of my Facebook & some twitter. Though I guess the people hub is baked in & not necessarily an app .

Hi,
I am using a Lumia 800 as well as a Lumia 920. What i'd like to know is what options do i have when it comes to google talk clients for Windows Phone 8 and which of them is the best.
On my 800, I am using the 'JiTalk' app. Its working completely fine. However, with wp8 and support for lock screen notifications I was wondering if there is any other better client out there that can support these new features along with standard requirements like push notifications, etc.
Any help is appreciated.
Edit: Being a WP user for quite some time now, I am aware of all alternatives for gtalk like skype, messenger, fb chat integration, etc. So please avoid giving these suggestions. Its just that I have a long list of people on google who I cant shift to any other service so need a solution for it.
Having an Android phone I was in the same boat as you, looking for a good Gtalk client.
I tried gchat but found it to be quite unstable, and often doing weird things. Though based on comments that may be because it's not tested on WP8 yet.
Then I installed IM+ and it's excellent. It supports multiple chat protocols, and it has a very good feature set. It does crash from time to time when opening the full app, but I find the push notifications work well and overall I'm very happy with it. So much so I purchased the full version (the free one is ad suported).
jiTalk works best for me. YMMV

Yup. Sticking to JiTalk. Seems to work fine for me as well. The only issue is at present it support only one account at a time.
Hi
My father got a bunch of Lumia 800s as some sort of gift when he switched ISP contract but basically don't use them and asked me whether they might be able to run Android.
The only thing substantial that came up while searching was this youtube clip:
youtu.be/f4b_5i2u_HM
but no instructions or links to further resources. It is relatively recent, so I guess it should mean that there are some data on it somewhere?
That's only an app that makes it look like You use Android on it. A skin. Got nothing to do with Android. I was trying few of these apps. Just to check their look. Check the Marketplace. It's full of these apps. Not a big thing and they are good for nothing.
Fake video!

I know Haret. It was made to run Android on Windows Mobile. Not Windows Phone. I was using it on several WM devices I had.
The app that is shown in the mentioned video is the FunFroid app, that can be found in MarketPlace and got nothing to do with the Android OS itself. Just an app that looks like an Android homescreen and can launch some apps. Not Android apps, only the WP system apps like Phone, Browser, Messages. It only contains shortcuts to them.
Hi! I'm a long time android user that is interested in trying out the Windows mobile experience. I'm an Insider tester so I started with just wanting to get a device but if I'm buying one then it will be my primary cell phone so I need a little convincing to make the purchase.
One of my sticklers is the low DPI on the 925. I don't like how most small screened phone tend to have low DPI and the 925 doesn't seem to be an exception, so is there a way that I can increase the DPI?
How is the integration between the phone and the desktop OS?
Is it snappy and responsive?
How is the rom/firmware/custom stuff selection for the 925? Specifically podcast, reddit and Google apps (Hangouts and Mail)
How's the app selection nowadays?
Thank you for your help! Help me become one of you! Otherwise i'm just going to buy a MotoG.

So, DPI is a hardware issue, you can't just increase it.
For intergration, you can load your favorites and tabs from IE. It will load your contacts and calander from any email account.
Podcast is built in, if the particular podcast isn't found you can use the RSS link and add it, that works really well.
There are some apps for redit, thought I don't think there's a native app.
There are no apps that I've found that can handle google hangouts. I typcially just load them in the browser. I know this is a big stiking point for most people, but google will not support Windows anymore than it has to, which is pretty minimal. I use whatsapp for most of my messagineg.

So, would you recommend the 925 as a 'starter' windows phone? I'm on Tmobile and have about 100$ or so to spend. Is there a better one for that price? : \ Tmobile has a terrible windows phone selection and pricing compared to ATT.
I found apps that support multiprotcol IM and gmail checking; so that's covered. I can get past the DPI thing because it's not too bad with that resolution. Better than my old Galaxy SII anyway.
