Cannot find a not broekn stock ROM file - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I think I softbricked my phone and my only option at this point is to flash a stock ROM from ODIN onto my phone. Ive got ODIN up and running and it detects my phone but the problem I am running into now is that I cannot find a valid stock ROM. I tried downloading the file from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2484726 but when I go to extract it it fails and says the .md5 file is broken. this has been happening a lot when trying to extract ROMs. Does anyone have a link to a valid .md5 file I could use to get my phone back to stock Verizon GS4 NC5?

"Help" is even at the end of the link. Also, I gave you a link to a .tar file in your other thread. Use that one since you're on NC5. You're not flashing a rom, you're flashing an image.

[Q] i flashed wrong kernel plz help me

But can any plz tell me the easiest way to get my phone back running it only goes to the boot samsung screen i cant get into clockwork but downloading screen. Please and thx plz provide links
You need to use put your phone into download mode, use Odin to flash .
update
the rom i had was bionix frost 2.2.1 is there some kind of way to just reflash a rom to get my phone back running
You can PM tomorrow, if you don’t have the files.
Yes,you need a tar file and using Odin
Your phone is soft brick! You can still flash but only by using Odin. Do you know how to use Odin
If you can still get in to CWM and you left the ROM on your internal SD, just re-flash. Everything should work after that. That would be the easiest way, followed by ODIN.
As long as you have a complete ROM on your internal SD card you should be able to get into recovery (hopefully) via the hardware buttons and re-flash that ROM with its correct kernel.
Otherwise you are stuck having to go with odin/heimdall and flashing it that way.
Goodluck.
how exactly do i use odin i downloaded it but what do i have to do first i still have a copy of the bionix rom on sd
Use the Vibrant Toolbox here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954509 It's the easiest way to go back to stock. Also, anytime you have a problem like this it's best to just Odin back. Reflashing through clockwork can leave alot of bugs.

Flashing Simply Honey Revolution 3.9

Hey guys so I am interested in flashing the simply honey revolution ROM on my samsung vibrant. But I am stuck. The instructions call for you to flash via Odin with the 512 PIT file. But when I download the light version for first flash in the instructions I find a .tar file. How do I flash this rom? Thanks for your help!
I have the same question, since I am used to work on the EVO 4G but not this phone. Any help will be appreciated. I already flashed a gingerbread bootloader, but I still need to flash this ROM.
Put the tar file in the pda and pit in the pit section.
just use that file but open PDA selection. it will flash it. also make sure you odin a gingerbread boot loader first.
Ok, understanding a little bit more. Right know I have the zip and the tar file inside that one. I don't have any Pit file mentioned. Also in the instrutions doesn't say if the phone needs to be in download mode or whatever mode. Thanks for any other info.
It should be in download mode to use ODIN.
Okay let me see if I have this process correct. From the page I download this http://www.multiupload.com/KP8HBPR20Z from under the instructions coming from eclair/froyo. Inside I see the .tar file. (not a .pit file). In ODIN i put the .tar file under PDA and click start. Once that is done I can download the bootloader and flash that via ODIN. Is this correct?
yeh
or you could use rom manager to flash whichever package you want after odining the light version instead of flashing the bootloaders
dont do it
I just went through hell flashing that rom and even BRICKED my phone. (well semi-brick, none of the buttons worked) I made the same mistake as you. Dont use the Simply_Honey_3.8_LightOdin file, use the one that is named simply_ODIN_HEIM . The light odin is bull****. Didnt work for me. I dont even want to guess why...
Good Luck!
Remember to open the .zip and extract the .tar, zip's cant be flashed in odin

I9100M back to stock help.

I'm trying to revert my I9100M back to stock, however, Im not sure where I find the stock ics kernel for bell. I downloaded the bell firmware from sammobile, however i want to have everything correct before i do flash it.
With the bell firmware that you get from sam mobile, where do you find the PDA/PHONE/CSC files? and also, when i do find all three correct ones, where do i go to flash the kernel to the corresponding one? I don't want to brick my phone!
what format was it downloaded. if it is tar format, use odin and put it in pda section, it is an all in one file with everything you need bundled together.
if it is in zip format use cwm to flash.
if it is in another format, extract thyebfiles and then use either odin cwm to flash depending on the file ending.

[Q] Cant extract .PIT file to install MJ9 Firmware.

I flashed Beans deodexed 4.3 rom (From 4.1.x) and everything went smooth, except for one minor hiccup where my phone said it had 0mb (No internal memory), but it got fixed when I flashed the rom again.
Now I want to update the firmware (MJ9), and when I use JOdin (Mac user), it tells me that it has to extract the pit file, and when it tries, it always fails. Never reboots to download mode, and when I try to connect my phone while already on download mode, JOdin won't recognize my device.
Any tips?
Can I use a stock SCH-i605-16gb.pit file? I have one on my macbook from when my phone got soft bricked and had to flash to stock.
Thanks in advanced!
EDIT: I managed to use an older version of Heimdall to get the pit file, but regardless, JOdin wouldn't recognize my phone when in download mode. So I decided to flash MJ9 through mobile odin, it flashed, and according to my phone my baseband is I605VRUEMJ9, but I STILL cant get the wifi to work... Was using Mobile Odin a bad idea?

Accidentally wiped /system. How do I fix this?

Hi! So friend 1 had asked me to help him root and flash CM on his S3 and I gladly helped. We were having a tough time doing it although I did it quite easily on friend 2's s3. Friend 3 chipped in to help us out by asking us to use Kingroot and let it root the S3. I thought it was ok and we let it do its thing. After it was "rooted" we tried flashing CM. There was an error during the process and it said it couldn't read the binary or something like that. I then wiped /system through TWRP thinking that it would revert everything back to stock. Well, obviously it wiped Android. I am so bad with Samsung phones xD Unfortunately, I did get ahead of myself and did not backup the phone when it still had Touchwiz. Good thing is, I can still access TWRP and download mode. I've already downloaded a stock rom for the s3. Now, how do I flash it? Are there any other solutions?
Thanks
EDIT: I, of course, have Odin and through download mode, would happily flash the stock rom mentioned above. However, Odin only accepts certain types of files such as .tar and .md5 files. Are there any websites that host stock roms ending in .tar or .md5?
Download stock rom from sammobile.com. The downloaded stock rom was compressed with winrar. Extract the downloaded file, you will get .md5 file. Put your phone into download mode connect your mobile to pc. open odin click pda select extracted .md5 file click start wait for 5 min after flashing complete odin will show pass. Unplug your mobile from pc. Goto recovery mode wipe data then reboot system. first boot will take 10 min.
