[Q] ipc-M10G by Magic King - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone and thank you for the great work!
I have in my hands a 10inch tablet with dual SIM that saves me having to carry multiple devices during my frequent travel.... But I would like to unlock the bootloader and root it... obviously
Is there anyone who can lead me to some tentative procedures to finding out how to root/unlock?
The device has:
Power button
Back button
Vol+ button
Vol- button
I found that Power-Vol+ gives me access to the Android System Recovery, the screen looks like this:
Code:
Android system recovery <3e>
HT7.C103.LYH.KK.B18.WXGA.16G.1G.LVDS.05256.V3.01
Volume up/down to move highlight;
enter button to select.
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from sdcard
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup user data
restore user data
I don't want to change the ROM, just root it to clean it up a bit.
Can someone help me?
Thank you,
M

[Q] How to install the "voice call" mod?

Hi there,
I'm fairly new to Android and in this week, I managed to root my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P7500) with ICS - so I'm glad that worked out
Now, I really want to install the "voice call mod" for my stock ICS - original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1875024
But can someone please give me detailed steps, as I have no idea how to "Make the Recommended Backup", How to install the two files and how to wipe the cache.
I do know how to go to Recovery Mode - If I understand correctly, that is when I power off my tab and then power it on, by pressing on the Power button + Volume Down - then press Volume Down and then Volume Up to access Recovery Mode?
Can someone please elaborate on this for me, so that I can also install this without "breaking" or "bricking" my tablet LOL
Thanks so much!
To get into recovery, power your tab off.
Then, hold down the volume down button and the power button until you see the Galaxy Tab splash screen. You can then release the power button, but continue holding down the volume down button.
Eventually, you'll get a screen with two icons - a box on the left with an arrow exiting the top (recovery) and a flashing Android with the word "Downloading" below it. Release the volume down button.
Now, use the volume down button to move the blinking highlight to the left. That's the recovery icon. Once it's blinking, press the volume up button to select it. Volume down will move the selection back and forth.
after success entering recovery mode there an option to do backup..
then do ur backup from this option..
after that u can proceed flasing what ever u need..
I know what to do, but How?

Hi, Thanks for the update. I know how to do this part, but when I enter recovery mode, all I see is:
1 Reboot
2 Install from External Storage
3 Wipe data/Factory Settings
4 Wipe Cache Partition
etc etc
Where do I go to do the Backup and where do I then go to install those two files of the " voice call mod"? And then, how do I wipe the cache?
Can you please explain these parts to me - The page for the voice call mod gives the instructions as to what to do, but I want to know "how" to do it.
Thanks so much

So if I understand correctly, I should then use an APP to make the backup - like Titanium Backup - so the backup is not done in Recovery Mode?
Then after that, I go to recovery mode and install the "modem" files and wipe the cache?
So, how do I then install the files and wipe the cache...Can you please give exact steps as to what to do and how for each of these steps.
Thanks
Rom manager app can do backup your current ROM.

Fujitsu M532 Root failed

Using "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v30" from
M532 rooting post: "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801883"
Root with Restore provider: "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460"
Ive done following the steps by running RunMe.bat but no joy
Now my device is semi-bricked as it stucks in the lock-screen, slide-to-unlock leads to screen-lock
I couldn't get into recovery mode by doing:
1. Hold Reset key and power up, release reset key
2. Hold Power and vol+
3. Hold Power and vol-
Seeking advices for (un)rooting or at least normalize the situation
Thanks

Are you still having this problem? I did the same to mine - You get into the recovery by doing the following:
Switch device on FIRST.
When the little Android logo shows, hold POWER + VOLUME UP for about 2 seconds, and then LET GO. You need to let go before the device switches itself back off again.
Once in recovery, do a Wipe User Data/Factory Reset. It looks like it freezes on Formatting /data but just leave it a while and it will move on. This fixed this problem for me (and when I booted up, device was rooted...!)
Having done the upgrade to 4.1 though, this same method no longer roots the device but also doesn't semi-brick it. Just reboots it a few times with no changes

[Q] Samsung Appeal i827 cannot get out of "reboot" menu

I pushed some numbers on the phone and "poof" the phone went into a menu called "CWM based Recovery v5.0.2.8" which includes:
reboot system now
apply update from sdcard
wipe data and wipe cache
advanced
and finally: power off
None of the menu items will actually reboot are start the phone in operable mode; it always goes back the the same menu.
I Have tried the Power + T and Power Volume and nothing helps.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

System corrupted on Huawei Ascend G7

Hi,
this morning I was struggling with this smartphone because of the lack of primary services in the device (e.g. calls, contacts, sms).
I thought about a bug in the OS or...I don't know. So, after trying the easiest things (download some app, disable/install or install other one etc), I decided to factory reset the phone. I searched for instruction on the internet and I found this procedure: power off the device, enter in recovery mode pressing power button + volume up, wipe data to factory reset.
In fact I think I pressed volume down and a screen with android symbol and no option appeared. So, I hold power button to quite this mode and reboot the system, but now the home screen is empty and any functionality disappeared (the phone is unusable).
If now I correctly enter the recovery mode pressing power button + volume up and run "factory reset" the process starts and after a few seconds it crashes and tell me that it can't recovery the system.
So, if I simply boot the system the home screen is empty and I can't use any app or function. And neither I can recovery the system to factory reset.
Pleas help.
