That´s right. But to doing a flashmode it take time. But a factory reset it´s too easy. So if i can block the factory reset it will be great

almost all methods of resetting a device takes 5 mins at the most
i dont think you can block such a thing easily, anyway why not just use a lockscreen passwd, you cant actualy get past that unless you have USB debugging on
only smart theifs know how to reset a device via hardware

Sure, that is one option, but i do not really like use the pass every time my mobile is lock.
I would like to put a pass into the factory reset option on settings.

actualy if you have a lockscreen pass it asks for the same pass everytime you chose a option such as factory reset or anything alike or partial alike

Hi ! I was looking for an application that make two things:
- First, you can't switch off your phone without the password (useful with nexus 4, because you can't unplug the battery without utils)
- You can't restore your phone without the password
These actions could be activated always or by your activating them on a website (like apps that allowed you to locate your phone)
This would be useful if your phone is stolen, you could locate your phone if it's stolen because the the phone wouldn't be switched off or wiped
I looked for an app like that but I didn't found it.. Do you know if it exist ? If no, is there an hardware restriction ?
Thanks
So far, there isn't a single antitheft app which can prevent your phone from being flashed, and no antitheft app will survive a firmware / rom flash.
Thanks ! It's a pity.. Do you know if it could be possible to make a ROM like that ?

No, this wouldn't be possible at all. A rom COULD hinder the thief briefly but it's never enough. This would go down to the bootloader/Stock recovery/Custom recovery level where any user familiar with either or can get to either one and perform a factory reset which would nullify any app or rom dead in it's tracks. Until someone figures out how to password protect the bootloader/stock recovery/Custom recovery, This will never fully be possible unfortunately.

Thank you ! I'll will wait for this.. It could be really good !
I have a last question is it possible to disable the on/off menu on android if it is locked ? I didn't found any option like that in Cyanogenmod
Thanks
PS : I found an app : play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nezdroid.lockscreenprotector (but the thief can always use two button to make an "hard reboot".. I will wait for the "ultimate" solution to password the bootloader !
thx
I need help! It is the first time I am posting here.
I was surfing the web on my phone and suddenly I started getting error messages "Unfortunately, ....process has stopped!". This applies on all of my apps and services, thus, a dozen of error messages at once. I kept tapping on OK but in vain.
I tried to fight against these error messages to access the Settings to reset my phone but after I reset, I got the droid icon with red exclamation mark on it.
I turned off the phone, pressed Power and Volume Up to access the Recovery Mode. After I pressed Volume Down to access the mode, nothing appeared except the droid icon with red exclamation mark, then after 1 minute, the phone rebooted normally and all these error messages popped up again.
I restarted the phone in Safe Mode but in vain.
I tried to clear cache for DRM service and Media Storage but in vain as well.
A friend told me it's related to eMMC but I did not receive any related message to it. It could be I do not know!
Please help me, how I can get rid of this issue?
Thank you very much!
Well you can use apps to access recovery too. If you have root you can use flashify or titanium backup

Hmmm I dont have experience with Huawei. I know that LG phones can be resetted by using a PC tool , I am not sure if there is anything similar with Huawei...
Though when you do factory reset there is always an exclamation mark if I remember correctly... So maybe just press factory reset and wait until it finishes, it may take enough time.

Yes Huawei has HiSuite but my phone is not recognized when plugging even USB debugging is ON.. As all processes have stopped, nothing are working.
Also, I did mention after resetting the phone, nothing happens.. The issue continues...

I don't need to as it did recognize it before... It's just plug and play..
Well then your only solution is just try again entering recovery with buttons and flash a new ROM but if still nothing happens maybe its hardware problem.
Also do you remember when this problem appeared or it was like this since you bought the phone?
I just wiped it but the issue still present... So, after reset or wipe, the poblem is not solved..
Hello,
I have a "problem" .. because of a bad sleep the last days I could recognise that my Honor 7 is rebooting every night while charging ... I do not have to fill in the SIM Pin or so.. But every widget is "loading" after the first unlock of the day..
Does anybody else has that "problem" ? I can go with that unless it is happening while I do not use that phone in the night... Hopefully that behaviour will not change to the day time...
Thanks for yoour input
If you recently updated to B370 or B371 do a factory reset and problem will be solved. I had same issue.
Does someone no of a way without the factory reset?

Try wiping Dalvik-Cache first before doing a factory reset, it might solve the problem.
Did you solve the problem?

There is no problem in factory reset.
Just backup with phone app, reset and restore. Phone will be as before. Quick and easy.
Check under Settings> Smart Assitance> Scheduled power on/off... If it's on .. Then turn it off
@millhaus1985 is your device rooted?, have you installed any custom ROM?, is your bootloader unlocked?, Please answer these, then only we can get a good overview of your problem.

The first thing you have to do is to go to the app drawer and open an application called Samsung Retail.
Go to Configuration Settings and enter code 544 to unlock it. If this code do not work, try 5444
Uncheck Disable the factory reset and enter the following password to confirm it: M729Q16K8546..
Turn the phone off and press the volume up, power and home buttons at the same time to boot into recovery.
Wipe data, cache and dalvik cache.
Then reboot.
However if its an LDU then im pretty sure the antenna and sim card slot will have been removed.

Ok Sir but the problem is i cant open the device.. it has fingerprint password, i didnt know the password even the back up password. I tried to restore it by holding power button, volume up and camera but still it wont work since the factory reset was disabled by the retail mode.

Hi.
My screen cracked and now I cant access files etc.
When I connect the cable to the pc the phone only charging since chargins is default :/
Any way to retrieve pictures, sms etc? Or transfer everything to a new android phone.
Are you rooted?
No:/
Is your bootloader unlocked?
If yes I think there is a way to take a full backup as an .img file
If not did you have backup to your Google account enabled? If yes just add your Google account on a new Android phone and select restore from latest backup during the setup wizard.
Is it unlocked by default?
Can I access the phone using command line or something? So i can enable file transfer.

It is locked by default for security purposes. Otherwise anyone with the technical knowledge would be able to access the contents of your device without the need to unlock it.
In order to create a system dump you need unlocked bootloader and root so you can make the appropriate mount points.
Best thing you can do is get the screen fixed and sell the phone... I work in a mobiles store that offer services like that. We buy broken phones, fix them, transfer the clients data to their new phone and sell the phone as a second hand device.... They must exist in your country too...
Too bad :/
I can unlock the phone with fingerprint, but I cant press on the screen to enable file transfer when the window pops up. Only getting charging. I will try to connect a mouse to the phone.
Solved.
Connected a mouse and could start samsung switch to transfer everything to a new mobile.
I would really like to enter recovery mode to do a hard reset of the phone. But there is no way to enter it :/
