I need help, how can I downgrade my Venue 7 HSPA+ from 4.4.2 to 4.3? In my opinion 4.3 was better. Is there any way to do it without lost 3G module?

I had to send my Venue back to Dell to downgrade. Took about a week.

The OP says that they have 3G and that method is for wifi only and will make them loose 3G connectivity

I had previously rooted my sony tablet s running honeycomb 3.2.1 and had changed my region to usa usingg condi's AIO tool
Yest I got the ota update for ics and. I updated my 3g version of my tablet to ics and I lost mmy root nd 3g functionality
now I m stuck without root n 3g functionality
Plz can anyone tell me hav I lost the 3g functionality Completely? or is there any hope tht I can get back my 3g functionality

If you have read condis notices about the ics update you would know that the update is only for the wifi version of the tablet, and currently no 3g update exists. As for root, i have installed condis update with instructions and made sure to choose add root but i am also left without root, we will just have to wait for someone to figure out a way for us to get root now. Nothing we can do about it!
You should've read Condi's notes .
I unrooted my device, as i never used the root functionality other then backups...
If it is possible, try downgrading to 3.2.1 again
So in short have I lost my 3g functionality forever...is there no way tht I can get back my 3g functionality...

No I also have a 3g tab. we can wait til Sony release the 3g update and flash it again

It's near impossible to completely lose your 3G functionality, since the Hardware will always be there. The only problem is whether or not the software you've installed can recognise and utilise the 3G. If you've upgraded your 3G Tablet with the WiFi upgrade, it doesn't have any 3G-capable functionality baked in, but the hardware is still functional, so since your Tablet is now stuck on US region, you will have to wait until Sony releases an ICS update for the US 3G version at which point you should be able to upgrade.

I gave it sony service center nd got it changed back to honeycomb long. Back
Coz there was no way of reupdating it or rooting the official ics
Anyways I m happy with my honeycomb itself I will update ics after a few more weeks

I have an unlocked LG e970 but whenever I try to connect to wifi hotspot our mobile tethering it doesn't work. It says that authentication was unsuccessful. There is a temporary network problem that prevents the enablement of the mobile hotspot function. Please try again later.
I have a stock Rom and the phone is as it is, new and just rooted with android 4.0.4. How do I fix this?Please help.
P.S-Mobile data is working fine.

are you certain your phone is properly rooted? when you opened the database with sqlite editor did it ask for superuser permissions?
My optimus g is on 4.1.2 and I noticed another user from the thread I pointed you at with the same problem you have lists the same 4.0.4 version of software that you do. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283615&highlight=database&page=4

Yes its rooted...and yes my phone has 4.0.4..I have the superuser app installed as well and I had to grant the sqlite editor permissions as well

Did you try rebooting your phone first? Try putting the phone in airplane mode first as well.

well ,it did not work on my lg g flex 2 ,AT&T .......
I recently switched to T-Mobile and my Verizon Galaxy S4 doesn't currently have the bands enabled for T-Mobile's LTE, I am on 4.2.2 VRUAME7 and wanted to know if there is any way to enable Band 4 without updating. I am able to install several ROMs through safestrap, but the bootloader is locked.

Just flash the mj7 modem.zip on safestrap and it should enable band 4.

Thanks, I'll flash that when I'm in a spot with HSPA+ or wi-fi since all they have here is Edge and LTE since I'm near the city.

so i got my new venue 7 a few days ago, and as i've seen from the root thread, most all of the users have been notified by their tablet to the 4.3 update, but i have not.
anyone have any suggestions as to why that might be? any insight would be appreciated.
Perhaps it is like the Nexus 7 where updates are rolled out to devices over a many days (weeks?). I think Google does it by the device's serial number.
I have no idea if Dell does the same thing (on the other hand, I suspect that there are far more Nexus 7s being used than Dell Venue tablets.).

Follow my post above even if you don't want root this will allow you to update dell pulled all ota updates they won't admit they did but no one is able to see otas for close to a month now.

you can directly update once dell resumes the updates. i dont know how long that's going to take though. I really want immersive mode

My tablet I bought the first week of June had the 4.3 installed, Dell told me updates gives pop-ups, I asked them for 4.4 to not be confused.
Today i received a new system update.

Most likely you will need the APNs from your carrier. Manually enter them, reboot, should be good to go.

How'd you unlock it? That maybe why, also check what types of bands your carrier(s) uses they maybe not be compatible with this phone. Here is a list of all supported networks (according to LG): GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS 850/1900/2100, LTE Bands 25/26/41

I thanks for answer, I unlock the phone with octopus box and there is a tutorial about two files that I need to replace, I use booth ways, I live in mexico and I know abuot friensd with the same phone ls990 and they use the same carrier than me, and they use this tutorial to

Honestly I would just use LG Flash tool and downgrade to ZV4 and root then flash a GSM ROM
