Seems I've "de-bloated" my voice mail notification light/indicator by accident in TiBu and can't figure out which app is causing this
If I unfreeze Voice Mail 3.11.13 I get the notification/indicator light back AND the annoying VisualVoiceMail terms & conditions page. I just want a voice mail notification

Since installing CleanROM 4.0 ICS, I now receive an SMS notification every time I have a Voice Mail. Does anyone know how to turn it off?
I know from the SMS app, if you press the menu button then go to settings it gives you a list that should include: Notifications, Text messages, Multimedia messages, General, Visual voicemail.
There are options to turn off the notification sound and vibrate when a voicemail arrives.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm aware of that option, and have disabled it, but the issue I am having is that I am receiving text messages from Verizon telling me I have a VM, and I should install their VVM app. But that app doesn't exist/work with an ICS ROM on the Rezound.
I can't imagine no one else has run into this? Bizarre.
I'm running Clean ROM 4.3 and have never had that problem. It works like it always has, with the visual voicemail tab in the messaging app. I get a notification and I can click that or go to the messaging app and click the voicemail button.

When my phone is lock and I put my hand over the sensor the screen comes up showing me the preview. It will show text notification icon, gmail icon and work email icon, but there is a Missed call notification, then next to that is an EMAIL notification. I have a work and personal email accounts set up on this, but the email icon next to the missed calls always shows zero even if I have unread mail in both accounts. Does anybody know how to set the email notification on that screen to actually show the number of emails?
Nobody has any answers for this issue?
Hi All, When I get a voice mail notification in the status bar and i hit the icon for vm in notifications, it automatically opens the v v m app, similarly, in the stock dialer if I hit the voice mail icon, it automatically opens the visual voice mail app. There is an added fee for this app per month and I declined the service. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the icon in the notifications for voice mail and the icon in the dialer to dial *86 instead? My old phones have all done this. The alternative is that I cannot access voice mail from the notification in the status bar,; instead, I have to go into the dial pad and hit speed dial 1 or *86. Verizon told me that upon declining the vvm service, my icons (in dialer and status bar) would then default to *86, but this hasn't happened. Anyone have this problem or solve this? Thanks in advance!

Basic visual voice mail is now free.

Or you can use YouMail, which is free and works wonderfully. I have used it for several months, very reliable:

Could anyone tell me, is there any way to get rid of the "Chat heads active" notification that constantly stays there (in the notification bar)?
Without turning off FB messenger notifications and without turning the chat heads off
A few times a day, a Gmail notification appears in the notification area (top of screen) and also as a button on on the icon for the Gmail app. When I expand the notification, all it is for is that Gmail is Syncing. The notification automatically disappears when finished syncing. Is there a way to disable that particular syncing notification? It makes me think that I have a new email, and only way to tell is by viewing the notification, or waiting to see if it disappears.
I think this started happening ever since I added a second account.
I am on updated, stock, un-rooted Android.
Thank you,
