So your battery died? Mine also died so i ended up replacing it with this one from amazon. Its not oem but i felt safer buying it. The samsung oem battery has a lot of negative reviews of people getting counterfeits. Check out this one from anker.

Some people have succeeded to charge their phone battery in AP mode. I saw the thread somewhere in this forum. You might have to search here.

Order or make your own factory cable and you can charge/flash your phone to get it working.

Not looking at keepin the phone but like like only option. :/
Regardless, i doubt anyone would let you take apart their phone to charge a battery as most people are still under warranty and wouldn't like to tamper with their phones hardware just yet.
Factory cable is pretty easy to make or you can find one on Ebay for $8 or so.

Funny guy here. Im just waiting to get this stupid cable this is such a headache!!
The HTC micro usb cable is quite a bit longer than the one I got from Samsung so i'm planning on using that one instead of the samsung one. Of course with the correct adapter from Samsung!
Any reason that should cause problems?
greez
btw just bought my SGS III so hi to everyone here on the SGSIII XDA forum!

It should be absolutely fine as it is either the adapter or phone itself that controls the current.

I have such cable and it doesn't work too well. It disconnects itself quickly and doesn't charge properly. But danger: no. Try it and if it works it's ok.

It should just work fine and relatively safe. However, I bought some cheap cables on eBay and it can't charge at all!! Transfering of data is no problem but charging is a problem. I dont know why but I assume its just some poor quality cables.

There wont be any problem.. i have been using my old htc cable too cos its longer..lol... on both my note and s3.. so no problems at all.

I tried a cheap USB cable that works fine as a data cable and can handle 2.0 speeds but used on S3 and after 8 hours only gave around a 30% charge because looks like the cheap cable must not have been able to handle the 1000mah current.
I use my old HTC cable and adapter to charge my sgs3 works fine. Got a cheap extended cable to use with my original Samsung desktop dock, but that takes ages to charge my phone.

1. What do you mean by you "cannot use the phone"?
2. Are you using the original Samsung charger?
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
I cannot unlock my phone (sliding to unlock has no effect) while it's charging.
I don't use the original samsung charger

Then use the original Samsung charger.
Other chargers gives higher charging current thereby making the touchscreen unusable while charging

Its because the non-oem cable or wall plug. Get a different cable and try again. If it works, it was infect the cable. If not then plug it into ur PC/laptop with the new wire, if it works properly it was the wall plug.
Highly recommend getting a OEM or descent charger.

Well. I guess he posted as I was typing so I didn't not see. And yes very well explained. But I didnt see u trying to explain/help, instead ur knocking my comment. No offense BTW, I don't mean that as an insult in any way just saying. And knowing exact problem never hurts. So instead of original $15 Samsung charger maybe he/she can get away with A $3 cable. Never know..

Hi guys.
My earphone jack only connects sound to a single ear. Ive tried many healthy headsets but to no avail. Do you guys have any quick fix for this?
Or probably do you guys know how long it would usually take Samsung tech support if i send this to them? Do i leave my phone there for weeks?
Any reply would be appreciated.
Cheers!

I faced the same problem of audio coming from only one earphone (right one in my case) then i realized when i plugged the headphones just about half in the s3's audio jack sound started from both earphones ..... The audio quality is not perfect but it worked in my case .... hope this post will help
Will be happy if i can get a permanent fix for this problem ...
Doesnt really work in my case. Haha. Ive had this issue for months. Unfortunately my schedule was restrictive and i cant afford to not have my s3 for too long.
Maybe someone who had a similar issue could help. Thanks

Hi there Folks....
My SGS3 Pebble Blue suddenly went dead. I leave my phone overnight with 17% battery charge, I dont remember well if the wifi was on, but in the morning it was completely dead, no button respond at all. Thinking that the battery has been emptied, i plug in the charger, but the phone doesnt respond, not even the LED nor the battery display that is charging. So, I leave it on the charger for a couple of hours, like 3 or 4 hours but still its dead.
My SGS3 is running at Omega ROM v34, everything is working fine before the incident, no lags, no system crashes. It is made in vietnam and I got it from a local network provider in Phillippines.
What can i possibly do to revive my SGS3? I could not send it to Samsung for warranty because, first it is running in custom firmware, next is warranty is completely void because i have already replaced my LCD Screen last month. I dropped my phone and the Screen was damaged so I ordered a screen replacement and I myself replaced the damaged screen.
Please help, I have no idea what happened....
Sounds like the S3 "Sudden Death" issue that was in the media some days ago (so the chance is high that it is a physical defect and you can't do much against it...).
Try a google "Galaxy S3 Sudden Death" search and you should get tons of informations about the issue. As far as i know Samsung Support repairs/replaces damaged devices without trouble.
Looks like they replace the mainboard on those damaged devices. Some people are saying that it might be some sort of planned obsolescence that kicks in to early.
That would also explain why Samsung is not talking about those issues at all and repairing/replacing damaged devices without further asking.

Read the Sudden Death Thread first .

Also post this in the s3 philippines thread. I been monitoring when this thing will start manifesting on our shores. You're the first one from philippines that reported this problem here or that I have read.

Unfortunately my S3 died on me as well on the eve of new year!
I'm waiting for the holidays to be over so I can send it to the Samsung service center.
Hopefully, they will cover the repairs with the warranty and they will not notice that my phone is rooted and running on custom software..

Yes... To double check... Go to download mode and see whether brand name ''i9300''is there... If no, pit partition messed up... Confirm motherboard dead..

Have sent in the unit yesterday to the service center. They have checked the download mode and asked me if I did some rooting and I said no.
From the download mode they cannot see the product name but there is no custom binary download numbers too so they said it is covered by warranty and just this morning, I called them up to follow up and they said they already ordered a new motherboard. I asked again if there are no problems with regards to the warranty and they have confirmed that it is indeed covered. Hopefully, in a week I'll get the repaired unit
