[Q] S3 shut down. Not working after flashing - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there! This is my first post here, so I hope you guys can help me. I've posted my question in different forums, but nobody could help me.
So, I was using my S3 the other day, and it suddenly shut down. I tried to turn it on, but it didn't work, so I thought that it had run out of battery, and let it charge. When i pluged it to the charger, I realized thee charging light wasn't on. I tried to get on the recovery mode, but it wasn't working. I was already giving up when i decided to try to put in on download mode. It worked, so i tried to reset it trhu it, but when asking me for mi PIN, the phone would go off again.
I tried flashing a official ROM from Sammobile. ODIN worked well, with no fails, but when the OS was supposed to start charging, when the android whit the blue line appears, the line would charge till half of it, and then the phone would shut down again. I recorded a video, but since I'm new here I can't post it yet.
I tried flashing different roms , even one that had the multiple files in it, but nothing worked. It just stays like that. The phone wasnt rooted, so i tried rooting. The phone did just the same, but when I came to look again the download mode, the flashing counter was on 1, so i suppose the rooting worked. Then I tried to flash a Clockwork to get on recovery mode. But the phone would stuck on the installation and then turn off.
Can please somebody help me?
By the way: the phone only works when plugged to electricity.
thanks on the advange!!

Mmm...I thought about the battery too. Like two months ago, I had to change the battery, because it was inflated becaused of overuse, and the phone wouldn't stop doig weird things and suddenly stopping working. So we bought one in a shop (it's not an official samsung battery). But now tthat you say it, the screen makes the same thing that did when the old battery was on the phone (it starts like trembling and then the phone suts down) so i guess I'll try with another battery. I'll post the changes!
thank you so much

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S II Wont Turn On - Please Help

Hi
Today I rebooted my Samsung Galaxy S 2 and for some reason it is not working anymore.
No idea why this has happened
I tried everything Recovery Mode - Cant get into
Download Mode I cant get into
Tried removing the battery then putting it back in still nothing at all
On the back I can feel the phone is getting warm but nothing on the screen
It was working fine yesterday and I havent done anything to the phone yesterday
Please help if you know anything?
Thanks
Sounds like a hardware fail. I hate to say it but it sounds like returning it is the option.

Did you have any update fails recently? Update fails were the reason some Galaxy S phones would not turn on.
Hi
Thanks for the reply
No.
It has the latest software so there wasn't a need for update
It was working fine for the first hour this morning and then I rebooted my phone because it froze but now won't turn on at all.
Should of backed up my data!
The device gets warm but nothing on the screen tried everything that is available on this forum.
Do I have to pay for this if it's faulty I only had it about a month now I think?
When plugged in on the usb charger, if you toggle the volume rocker will the display turn on and show the battery level?

- There is nothing, no battery indication, everything is black
Any solution yet?
I ordered a JIG, however I don't know if it helps in case the bootloader is dead

[Q] samsung sgs2 i777 wont boot up when connected

ive searched xda for a couple of days, ive googled, ive youtubed. and nothing has helped. seems like not many people are having this problem. but i recently got a galaxy s2 i777. stock GB firmware. stock everything. everything on it worked fine all connections and all the other good stuff. the only problem is when i try to charge it via wall charger it automatically shuts off and flashes the battery charging over and over again. (btw when i plugged in i CAN boot into download mode) same thing happens when plugged via usb. So i got tired and i odined flashed ICS because i read that would fix many bugs.. to my surprise it fixed the battery flashing issue and now when its off and plugged in it charges like it normally would but i CANNOT boot up when its connected to any power source. and even on ICS it still shuts itself off when plugged in. i need to know how i can get it to stay turned on when charging.
sorry if its a little long guys. i hope you can help me solve this problem, and to the ones that are gonna ask why i started a new thread just for this.. well because no one else seems to be having my specific problem. tThank you guys so much in advance for your help
Are you using an after market battery? If yes, try swapping it out with a factory one

Stock sgs2 att batteries?
(⊙_⊙)
Sounds like the battery is the problem. Make sure the battery you have is NFC. Immediately under the Samsung logo at the top on both sides, it should say Near Field Communication.
The other option of course is to try flashing a different Rom and kernel and see if the problem persists. But they're most likely correct, you'll probably need a new stock battery. Some phones you can use a battery bought from anywhere, our phones are just kinda temperamental. Most likely because of the NFC capability but that's just a guess.

When using a stock Sammy Rom you need a stock battery w/NFC. A Aokp/Cm9 can sometimes use an after market battery. I found that out after buying one without NFC and it did what you describe. Right now I am running Task AOKP with non NFC batt and everything is fine.

[Q] Charging problems with CM10

Hello!
This is my first post here but I know people here are generally very helpful since I have been playing around with roms on my i9100 quite a bit the last year, and I have never had any problems - until yesterday when I installed the last cm10 nightlies. It simply won't charge. I tried over night with the AC and now all day with the USB cable plugged into the computer, but no charging. Now it is completely empty and I can't even get into CWM recovery mode to do a factory reset or restore a backup.
The only activity I get at all is that the phone restarts continuously while plugged into the computer (windows 8), only to realize it's battery is empty, and then reboots, and so on...
So, to my question: Can this have anything to do with the rom? Or is it more likely to be hardware? Any help is highly appreciated!

[Q] Galaxy S3 Possible Death?

Hi there,
For a few days now I have been experiencing random reboots of my phone and I've always just thought that it was the ROM I was on (Omega) as I did not update it for a time (Not too long). Now the phone has decided to keep rebooting and I have installed a recovery of a stock ROM. It also won't turn on sometimes and when it does it just shows a picture of a battery when plugged into a charger. Sometimes it shows charge and sometimes it says there is no charge at all. It also turns itself off sometimes when plugged into a charger. I am not sure whether this is SDS? Any ideas to save my S3?
Cheers,
Jon

Try changing the battery. Confirmed to be working by some users.

Flash a full stock firmware with odin and factory reset, if still the same then it's hardware.

Have you even thought about it possibly being your battery? I've had problems with my battery in the past and just replacing it has fixed most issues.

Flashed a stock ROM, unrooted as well. Problems still occurred and now trying a factory reset. If that doesn't work then I will try a new battery. If all else fails it may have to go back to Samsung as I'm still under warranty.
You should have really tried replacing your battery before anything. It seems like that's the problem

What did you do that caused this issue to start? You flashed something or modified something, what was it?

You rooted it or something, stock devices don't just start heating up like that unless you're using it heavily while it is on charger.
Or the battery you got isn't right, is the replacement battery rated higher than the one that was in it?
The problem is something you changed or did somewhere.
Regardless, try booting to download mode and flash the stock firmware, if its a software problem that might help, if its hardware you'll have to have hardware repaired or replaced.
