[Q] help, i screwed up! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi all,
Ive been looking for a fix for a straight 10 hours now and i just cant seem to find it.
Ive tried installing a custom rom on my rooted Samsung galaxy s3 mini (i believe its the i8190)
i installed CWM recovery and tried installing the custom rom through there and when that not succeeded i tried it through the CWM recovery boot thing. after messing with it i found myself locked in the CWM recovery boot cause everytime i reboot my phone it instantly goes to the CWM recovery. i found out thats due to not having a rom (not even the stock). so now i have to find a custom rom (wich i allready got) and put that on the phone. this is where im stuck. i dont have an external sd card in this phone and i just cant seem to mount the internal sd card so i can access it through my computer so i can put the files in there.
Im sorry if i placed this in the wrong section, im new to this forum. i just need some professional help because i obviously have no clue wth im doing. also sorry for any misunderstandings or stupid questions. english is not my native language.
thanks in advance !
sorry for second post, dont know where to get an answer nd im desperate

Search Custom Recovery, Root, ROM etc.. with your device name/model. hope, you'll find some solution/ideas about your problem.
Here's a LINK: Samsung Galaxy S III Mini (Link for your device main category.)

You need to set up adb. adb should work while in recovery. You would use that and push the file to your internal storage. For example:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard/
Assuming you have the rom zip in the adb folder or have set adb to work system wide.

[Q] Help! Screen become irresponsive after editing touchpad.cfg

I am using a rooted Atrix ME860 without CWM recovery. (USB Debugging mode is off)
2 days ago, in an attempt to enable multitouch in my mobile, I edited touchpad.cfg located in system\etc\touchpad\22 using root explorer following some guide found in internet. (I did a backup before editing it). After restarting the mobile, the screen became irresponsive to any touch. I did a lot of searching and finally, I tried to make an update.zip to place back the back-up touchpad.cfg in android recovery mode. However, it failed every time when come to signature verification. (I tried 5-6 type of different signer app, java script etc and made over 30 update.zip but all failed)
With my limited knowledge to android phone I did an external hard reset thinking all would be done, but the screen is still not response to any touch after that.
Any suggestion guys?
Thank you.
You can't use stock recovery for custom ZIPs, only for officially signed ZIPs.
Hard reset is also irrelevant since it doesn't touch /system at all.
See here, maybe it helps: http://cleanimport.xda/index.php?threads/1813668/
try to update through fastboot. do more search how to?
or try to flash cwm recovery as a start.
any way your phone not bricked, the last resort will be flashing sbf but u will not going through it.
Thanks for replying.
I checked the link. Seems that guy with the same problem could not solve the problem..

Yes.
After searching I unlocked my phone and installed CWM recovery and a CM9 unofficial ROM found in this forum. Thanks for the help.
The touchscreen problem was solved but there is another new problem..
My phone failed to mount the internal SD card. I tried to mount it in setting -> storage -> mount SD card (under internal storage)
Nothing changed except a notification about SD card safe to remove appear. (This notification appear each time after rebooting phone too)
I tried to mount/format SD card/emmc in recovery but got error. Reflashing CWM and ROM also didn't help.
I tried most solution found in internet except the relock then unlock method as i have no idea how to do that.
Thanks for any help again.

Custom Recovery Please Help

I've checked all over, and their are many...but none of them are straight to the point
I want to install custom roms but I cant seem to find a proper thread that is step by step on loading a custom recovery, I'm jumping all over the place, so far I have a unlocked bootloader, rooted and running 4.2.2 and I have a recovery.img file on my sdcard (not sure if thats needed or not)
I've come to decide I need to do it manually cause the rom manager app doesn't have my tablet listed.
Doesn't bother me what custom recovery is it, as long as I can boot into it and load custom roms from SD card im happy

Here's the link to Dual Recovery for XTZ (TWRP and Philz Touch) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606
You said you Unlocked your bootloader. I hope you didnt forget to backup your TA before that.
Gimme a Thanks if I helped and dont forget to thank the original dev [NUT] either!
Wait wait wait Lol
What on earth is TA?
All I have is the code that unlocked the bootloader, and man oh man, im glad someone can help
Ill be doing what that thread states and i'll keep you updated
Thanks
It worked!!!!!! I have the custom recovery installed!
But i have a few questions? can i only use the app to boot into the recovery or can I use the volume power way, cause it didn't seem to work at first so i used the app
secondly, when i used the app, i booted into clockmod recvery, and i wanted to install a ROM i placed on my sdcard, so I wiped out the phone getting it ready for the ROM installation, so i formatted and found i cant open my sdcard only my internal storage, thats means im stuck, so now i fused flashtools and placed 4.2.2 back on the phone, must root it again and then load the recovery and place the rom on my internal storage, ill keep you updated let me know if there was a easier way
Just realized I could have tried the other recoveies, cause maybe they would be able to access the sdcard
OK so I have downloaded this rom and gapps and the instructions are same old same old, place files on sdcard, boot into recovery, wipe and install, I got an installation aborted any ideas?
All the roms are failing and ive been trying the different recoveries, I must be doing something wrong

SGS2 won't turn on

Hi yeasterday i did a full wipe on my sgs 2 i9100 and installed newest omnirom version, today i tried to install supersu and i wasn't able to, so remembered that i have somehow managed to install supersu few months ago when i had installed omnirom, i wasn't sure how i have did that so i tried to install Siyah-s2-v6.0b4 with odin, and my phone was only showing sgs2 logo with yellow triangle, so then tried jeboo_kernel_i9100_v1-2a, and i got the same logo, so please can someone help me ?
@Walkman23 so far as I hear you are flashing the wrong kernel for omni. Just reboot into recovery and reflash omnirom if you still want to keep it.
Yellow triangle is a marker that you had flashed with odin(flashcounter) nothing to worry about, you can remove it but I suggest to only do that when you sell your phone. The triangle is nice to me .
Also the kernels you were trying to flash are for stock only I believe. Find an kernel for omnirom.

how do i put omnirom into my phone ? cause i have deleted them
@Walkman23 sorry for late response I was away but you can adb push the rom to your phone. But you need to be in recovery mode and have the drivers for your phone installed and you need adb.
So install drivers and adb.
Adb push romname.zip /sdcard/
Or you need to have an micro sd card an put the rom on the sd and insert it in your phone and flash the rom.
I also saw your PM.
For an simple adb utility without the need to download the whole sdk install this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
@wulsic i tried pushing it yesterday it worked cause i had twrp now its cwm 6.0.2.7 and when i push it to sdcard i cant find it
@Walkman23 I think that the /storage/ location is different on the galaxy s2. Thats why you couldnt find it.
Can you check the path in the recovery where your virtual internal sdcard is?
@wulsic thank u fixed it
@Walkman23 Nice that you fixed it so remember now also flash a kernel specific for which rom you are using, so for cyanogenmod/stock/aosp based roms. Also that kernel and recovery are combined on the s2. And also that you now know the storage path where to adb push when you can still acces recovery
