Cleaning official Quick circle case - G3 Accessories

I have a grubby mark on the textured front of my gold case and can't seem to remove it. Any suggestions would be helpful as this seems to be a real disadvantage having this finish rather than a smooth one.

Damp microfiber cloth? I use that to clean all (front, back, screen)

That's what I usually use, however it won't remove anything due to the rough texture of the case material.

I use excoriating wetwipes(the type women use to take their makeup off with) on my Microsoft Surface keyboards which have a similar surface to the circle case.

Zenus Galaxy Note Masstige Black

loving the case so far. here are some pics. i tried the hdr function on my camera and it looks real goofy in some pics. just an fyi.
It looks good. I ordered one in red after a week of debating. Still waiting for it to come in. I just wish it came with a strap.

I ordered one after much debate because my Note is too worthy to be buried in my purse. I'm waiting on a full body skin from decalgirl or skinit for the times it will be carried in my hand only. I have a cheap TPU case from ebay but I'm not happy with it.
I don't plan on having it in this case the whole time, "he" will have different outfits depending on what I have to do and where I have to go. This will be when I don't want to carry my purse around but need the essentials.
Residue on Glass from Zenus Case
Hi,
I have the same type of case, but the blue/tan version. I find that the case appears to leave a residue on the glass of my Note. I noticed this as soon as I started to use the case, but I assumed that it was due to a leftover from manufacturing and it would go away. It hasn't. I have even tried to clean the inside of the case that faces the glass and I still get a residue. I clean the glass with an eyeglass lens cleaner.
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, have you been able to correct it?
I have the zenus folio in all black, it's basically the same case only all black. I haven't had any trouble with anything transferring to the screen.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
I am starting to think that the residue may be skin oils that transfer to the case because of the way I hold the the case. I flip the cover around the backanx hold it thag way. I know, TMI

Removing Scuffs on Screen?

Unfortunately lately some scuffs have started to show up on my i777's screen. They look like scuffs from my pant pockets. I've tried micro fiber cloths with just a little bit of water with no luck. Any ideas? I'm a bit bummed at the moment.

Before long time when we used CDs and when it was having a lot scratches he used wool and tooth paste polishing it 10-15min and no problem after that..
If you are sure that you want to try this method on cellphone. If you don't believe me try with CD first
You could try plastic polish, it can be found easily in any car parts store. You apply it with a micro fiber and remove it the same way just like wax. Its not too abrasive since its meant for plastic gauges and such.. should help.
I've heard of the toothpaste and wool trick, but I'm never sure if someone is just trolling to get me to smear toothpaste on my phone. Does it matter what kind of toothpaste? Gel? Classic paste? Mint?

Well a CD surface and phone screen are different surfaces aren't they? Don't know if I'd use the same technique but that's just me..
I'll try to find some plastic polish. I'm in Spain for the next two months so it may be difficult.

Seriously. There's no way that a pants pocket should be scratching/scuffing that screen absent some other contributing factor (keys, coins, etc.).
I've had this phone for less than a month, and I keep it in a case/holster, but my prior phone also had Gorilla Glass and endured two years of pants pocket indignities thrown at it, with nary a scratch.

So it is gorilla glass? 2 people at att told me Its a hardened type plastic screen. My phone too has a faint scratch that I can't remove but it wasnt just from jeans like you mentioned.

It is gorilla glass. Sand generally with scratch it easy, but otherwise its really good. I have had mine since October, never a case or screen protector. I have one small 1/4" scratch.
The problem I am seeing is that it seems I have worn off the oliophobic coating in an area about 1" square. I always use my phone one handed with my thumb. You can basically see the vertical and horizontal path I swipe, if I get any oil on the screen, like from food.

Edit OK I checked the wiki about it its glass...

Some toothpaste brands are more abrasive than others... In the Army, we used regular Crest to polish our bits of brass, because it is abrasive. (I guess gel-types would not be as much, but that might be a good thing for glass...)
You will also want to be careful of rubbing off the anti fingerprint coating (actually you will have to), but only do it in the area of the scratch. don't go crazy all over the phone.
Glass = much harder than the calcite abrasives in toothpaste, plastic polish etc.
You'll have to use a zirc, diamond, or aluminium oxide/silicate polish like those used for polishing hard metals. And not only would you rub off any coatings, but the screen is already very thin and polishing it will make it thinner and weaker...

Scratches on S-View cover window?

Bought a black S-view cover at AT&T. Peeled off the protective stickers on the front and back of the clear window. Found a rather large scratch on the upper surface of the window. Exchanged it for another and there is a scratch in the exact same place. It's the type of scratch that is only visible from certain angles so it doesn't impede the S-view functionality at all, it's just annoying me that it's there. The rest of the case is mint and I find the quality of it to be otherwise outstanding.
Anyone else having this issue?
For 70 frigging dollars it should be immaculate!

Agreed, but since it was the same on both I was wondering if it was more than just coincidence. Maybe the manufacturing process causes it on all S-view covers?
I had the same issue. There is like a scratch/scuff on the upper part of the window.
Screw that for 60 bucks that thing better be mint!

I'm now fairly convinced that this was no coincidence. The scuff (which is more accurate of a descritpion than a scratch) was identical in shape and position on both of the S-view covers I received. Scyke decribed the position similarly. Viewed from the front the scuff starts at about 1 o'clock and extends down towards the right on a diagonal about an inch. This has to be a manufacturing flaw. They should have made the window out of a piece of thin tempered glass like a screen protector.
I'm going to replace my S-view cover with the flip wallet, if anyone ever gets it in stock.
Well that same imperfection is on my black s-view case, and it has actually put a scratch of the same size on the glass on my phone. It is very annoying and I wonder if anything can be done about it.

I doubt it, a screen protector would have prevented it though.

I doubt that a plastic screen protector would have kept that hard little plastic imperfection from digging into my screen. Maybe I would have noticed it earlier, but that is about it. The glass is many times harder to scratch than a screen protector it.

I have the blue one which is not glossy. Its not slippery at all. Its my favorite case so far. I also have the hybrid. It feels good in the hand and doesn't really add much bulk. No scratches yet.
I have the blue slim armor. Like it is causing issues with my power button. The power button is not working correctly with the case installed. Anyone else?

Just cleaned up my slim armor case with windex found after cleaning it has a much better grip and doesn't fingerprint much at all. Also buffed out most of the what I thought was scratches. From the last 2 weeks. Cleaned off the screen and pen as well pen stopped leaving marks I has to wipe off.
My soul black slim armor case arrived today. For the past 2 weeks I've been using a neo hybrid satin silver, but I decided to buy this case. Just in case either of them break, I have a good backup. The only complaint I have is that the back is super glossy and attracts alot of finger prints. But it's ok
Got the metal slate. Compared to the neo hybrid, this case feels better on my hand. Fits like a glove and doesn't add that much bulk.

Slippery?
I just got my Slim Armor in white today. Nice quality and seems like it will protect the phone. BUT, it seems slippery. Has anyone had any problems with actually dropping this phone because it has slipped out of their hand? I used the Cruiserlite on my Note 2 and it was very grippy with textured sides where you held it.
The case is pretty slippery I wish it had grips on the side or on the back or something

I also got my Slim Armor in white today as well =) Also got the Black UAG case in today as well. I couldn't make up my mind between the two, so I just ordered both! lol But from what I've read, the slate blue is the only non-glossy slim armor case for our phones.

I do love this case, great protection with a moderate price. However, a little disappointed that the back gets scratched so easily. I have had the metal slate for 10 days, and there are scratches everywhere

MOD: Fabric Battery Cover

So I was a little tired of the bulk the neo hybrid added (or maybe coz of the same looks for almost 3 months ). I ordered an aluminum bumper from eBay (which is still on its way) and a battery cover (which i received). Here is the back case . It was the Angry bird one that i selected. But when it arrived It was a really cheap print job and didnt go well with the phones overall premium look. but it had a perfect fit and no creaking noise. i was not sure what to do next .i.e. if i should rock it as it is or just forget it ever happened.
On a second thought, Its a cheap case and i had time to spare. I took an old tshirt and some synthetic resin adhesive. Put the adhesive over the back of the angry bird battery cover and placed it on the tshirt backside down. and let it stick on for a minute or 2. then cut the cloth around it in a way that it had only 1-2mm sticking out on all four sides and wrapped it onto the inside of the cover and put a thin line of the adhesive running along the border of the cover. Its pretty simple if you have the right adhesive. the only tricky part was the camera cut out, which took time and patience as i didnt have a sharp blade, i was using a small knife instead and was too lazy to go buy one .
Here is the end result. (time spent 30mins)
The last pic showing the inside might look like the wrapped in fabric is going to come off, but i can assure you that it is stuck pretty well and feels solid. Now that is one custom case
What do you guys think?
Update
And finally the bumper arrived. here are the pictures. I had some clearcoat scratch resistant sticker lying around so put them on the corners and sides of the bumper for more grip and protection (hopefully).
Looks good. Did it tear above the S-Pen when installing the bumper?

Its all thanks to the adhesive i used. Really strong. do not use super glue as it will leave blotches of dried glue visible through the outside and will not give a even finish. Also when selecting a cloth for this make sure it is very thin and not too stretchy. thin coz we dont want it sticking out on the sides when wrapped around, it will not let the bumper fit in properly. not stretchy coz it wont give the fabric an even lay on the back.
Hope it helped
