Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone knows how to define the settings for ADW.Launcher in a custom ROM. Is there some sort of XML file I can put in /system or something?
I'd like to pre-define the icons/widgets on the desktop and the action buttons.

Umm. You would need to look at how ADW stores its settings just now. They will be in /data/data/com.adw.launcher/ or something like that. Play with the files there and see what happens and look inside the sqlite databases etc.
Then try putting those files into the data folder of your zip.Give that a go.
Did anybody get this to work yet? A similar question was asked in this thread:

I replied with an XML file I found that may be useful, but I didn't get a chance to test it yet.
I love the notification toggles... but hate the fact that Samsung forgot to put in any method to customize these!!
So instead, I'd like to use one of many apps in the Market to give me notification toggles (Wigetsoid or Notification Toggle in the Play Store comes to mind). That way I can customize them exactly as I like...
BUT... the original touchwiz will still be there.
Is there a simple method to remove that bar, such as perhaps removing an APK, or editing a non-compiled config file somewhere?
I'm currently rooted using Blazer's ROM (1.6), and I'd rather not suggest for him to remove it from the ROM as I'm sure there are a lot of people perfectly happy with the way it is.
If anyone has an easy method to remove it, please speak up

This is a great tutorial.

Hello all.
I was wondering if anyone knew what I would need to edit out of SystemUI.apk to remove the bar at the top with the s-finder and quick connect.
I found a few things about changing the status_bar_expanded_header.xml. but there seems to be a lot of references with nothing concrete about the framework-jar as well.
Is it just that simple XML edit or is there something else that I need to do?
There is an xposed module that does this. Simple look at their sources should tell you how.

That is a great idea. didn't even think about doing that.
Thanks.
Hi guys...
One of my first posts on here.
I'm having trouble modifying the quick settings toggles on my Cubot X9. Chinese phone with mediatek hardware.
The quick settings have been modified by Cubot by the looks of it, now the problem is, I don't want it looking like this, the white is HIDEOUS!
I've tried xposed mods, after a long deodexing session, but none of the quick settings mods work. Its not xposed, because other mods work.
I have dug into my priv-app folder, but couldn't find SystemUi.apk anywhere, only a SystemUI_ss.apk instead. This seems to be a modified systemui.
What the hell is this about? And how can I mod it? I don't really want to decompile and recompile, because it doesn't even have the values folder with all the XML files in it...
I baffled!!
Please someone help me.. I have screenshots but am not allowed to post as under 10 posts :\ pm me for screens if needed. They show the quick settings and the SystemUI_ss.apk

You will have to decompile the apks. You will most likely have to search for them. Not a whole to do other wise. You might even have to find a different apktool to do the job as most don't deal with the way China based devices alter system apks.
Hey, I have the same issue too. Just recently received my Cubot X9 and I have managed to perfect near everything but those damn ugly white and green quick settings :/ I would LOVE to hear from anyone who manages to fix/get around this issue Please send me an email at [email protected] if you figure it out

Hey, I'm sorry but my English is very poor. I also Cubot X9 and I do not mind the white background and green icons but I'd like quick setting as CyanogenMod. Does anyone know how to add it?
Finally getting somewhere! I had to decompile the apk and then recompile.
Replacing the original Systemui_ss.apk
The only way I can find that works.
I now have grey background instead of white, and no stpuid grey pulley up thing that doesn't have a use :/
If anyone wants screens or guidance on what files I'm changing along the ways, feel free to ask. I will be writing a guide once I've played somemore and got everything boned down.
I look forward to some guidance and immediately try. However, I would also welcome Cm ROM for my device. Sorry. My English is very bad using Google translate

I accidentally deleted the easy settings apk, and I was wondering if anyone would upload the stock lollipop version for me. In case you don't know what i'm talking about, it is the settings apk that looks like it has tabs. Thank you!
