Hi everyone, I have an LG Optimus G (F180K) and I've been using it fine for the last couple years and most recently under the V30D firmware which is KitKat 4.4.2. I've flashed CM11 and MIUI on it previously but restored it to the stock rom several months ago and have stuck with it since. About a week ago I flashed MIUI again as it seemed there were new builds avaliable. The installation went fine but when the phone booted up I realized I didn't have any service and my service provider was not being recognized as it just said "No service". It did show there was a SIM card inside though. So using CWM backup I restored back to my original stock rom and realized there was still no service so I did a clean factory reset. That didn't fix the problem so I tried updating the phone with the kdz files straight from LG's servers which still didn't fix the problem. I checked my IMEI which was not broken and the phone number of my SIM card is recognized but it just always "No service". I tried reverting back to stock rom and factory reset multiple times the past week but it still won't work. Any help? Thanks

Hello everybody!
I was on ultimate v8 when my phone started rebooting in recovery without any reason, and entering recovery.if i restarted the phone i didn't had signal.
the phone worked properly without the sim card (tried two cards, it had this problem with both of them)
i thought it was a rom issue, so i flashed the stock rom, relocked the bootloader and used sony update service to repair my phone.
i didn't install any applications, and for a couple of hours it worked normally. afterwards though it lost signal again and started rebooting.
did a clean install again with no results.
any ideas what how should i procceed? is there any way to fix it or shoud i visit a service point?
ps sometimes it seems that sim cards are not properly recognised. it's not that it has the sign, that shows that there is no sim card, however sometimes i restart the phone and it doesn't ask for the pin code

hmm...do a factory reset using cwm then flash stock ICS .54 rom & see it works or not.
i've wiped data, cleaned cache, dalvik cache etc many times while i was on ultimate. i've also flashed the stock and did factory reset via the menu in the phone as well via sony update service... i was thinking of flashing radio, but couldn't find the file...
My friend asked me to look at this phone that was softbricked and kept going to CWM recovery everytime it was booted. I updated the CWM to the latest touch version via ODIN then formatted the phone clean. :good: Then I flashed 4.3.1 stable AOKP ROM and the GApps. It was fine, everything else was working. I connected the wi-fi, used bluetooth, signed into google account everything was normal and stable.:highfive: But then I tried calling and it said "no mobile network". Tried sending a text, could not. I went in and searched for network signals then registered to the correct(I AM SURE!) one.:silly: Still no luck. Then I let it choose automatically. Nothing. Then I thought maybe installing another ROM will somehow fix it and flashed CyanogenMod 10.2 stable. Still no luck. I searched around for a flashable radio but could not decide if that would fix it because as far as I am aware if the radio wasn't working no wireless connectivity should've been either.
The phone is Samsung Galaxy S III GTI9300 white 16GB (unlocked) and has been here in Nepal with Nepal Telecom Sim since it was bought. I have no Idea how the soft brick happened but I think this guy tried to manually update the phone with a stock firmware during which some **** must've happened.
Can you guys please let me know if this could be fixed?
Any help would be highly appreciated.:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
There are hundreds of identical threads, search and read about efs and imei issues.

I got a moto XT1023 mono-sim that was purchased in Boston (and frankly I forgot to see what was the original firmware)
So I installed the CM11, but did not work for me because the headset did not work ..
installed again the stock rom, and none of what I tried did the phone signal work, I could upgrade to 4.4.4, but the phone signal did not work.
Until I found the ROM RETUAWS_XT1023_4.4.2_KXC20.82-15_cid9_CFC.xml.zip
(http://bit.ly/1pGmrKp)
And to re-install it, i needed to reset the phone again
And it worked, I went back to have phone sign, worked headphones!
But I cannot upgrade to 4.4.4 and consequently will not update for android 5.
Any help?
I noticed that all rom i've tested and the phone signal didn't work are _cid14_

Hi guys,
I have problem with my friend phone.
He asked me to install Blekota s5 Lite on his phone.
I installed him and phone worked great about 1.5 months, then he got a message that he need to update rom.
When he updated rom he couldn't call anybody, use SMS or Mobile data.
Then he without my knowledge reset phone to " factory reset" through settings.
After that he has full formated mobile phone ( even storage has been formatted ).
Then he called me and said what he did.
I tried do factory reset through CWM, but the problems haven't gone.
Then I flashed phone with odin and stock firmware but nothing has changed.
Then I tried install stock firmware with Kies3/Tools/Firmware Upgrade and Initialization.
Kies flashed firmware successfully but again nothing has changed.
I tried GalaxSimUnlock, but it show that phone is unlocked.
I then tried to backup EFS, but it showed that it can not make backup.
Then I tried *#06# and it showed that IMEI is normal.
I know it's a long post but can anyone help me?

Hey everyone, I'm hoping someone is able to point me in the right direction.
I have an S9 Plus with TWRP installed and DevBase v5.9 as the ROM. I have made two backups using TWRP, one from when I first got the phone and a more recent one (within the last week).
When I first got the phone I removed a lot of the bloatware that came with it (Samsung stuff and other junk). After using the phone for a while I realized I needed to keep a couple of the Samsung apps, mostly Samsung Themes and Galaxy Apps (to keep other Samsung Apps up to date). This is where the problems first began.
I restored the backup I made when I first got the phone because I didn't remove any of the bloatware. The backup restored without any problems, I started updating apps, getting it back to the way I had it and noticed I didn't have any reception. I tried to make a phone call and it displayed an error "Not registered on network". I thought something went wrong during the restore, so I tried to restore the phone with the more recent backup I had. That, too, gave me the same message. I checked the IMEI number it was displaying 0000000000000/01. Definitely not my IMEI.
I tried my SIM card in another phone and it worked without any problem. I tried my partners SIM card in my phone and it displayed the same 0000000000000/01 IMEI. I downloaded the latest stock firmware for the phone in an attempt to try and get it back to normal, however, even on stock android it displays 0000000000000/01 IMEI.
So I'm in a sticky situation at the moment. Is there any way to recover from this problem?
