Does anyone know of an xposed module that will let me swipe down notifications from anywhere in the screen without changing launchers?
There's a button you can add in the display setting

Sorry I should have been more specific. I meant a swipe down gesture from anywhere on the screen like you can do worth third party launchers. But thank you for the quick response.

I'm not sure if this xposed module will be what you're looking for but worth a shot :

Is there an app to make my notification bar like the Samsung captivate with the toggles or with the themes for the atrix or am I waiting for true custom Roms?

Not gonna happen anytime soon, use the power widget from GingerBlur or GreyBlur. Same thing.

Not true! You can absolutely have customizable power control widget style toggles in your notification bar on any Atrix! http://goo.gl/EkXyx
i use widgetsoid.. I think it fits your needs but you must turn the popup on or it won't work.
That's something i needs. THanks much to hanming

+1
Widgetsoid works well.
Getting toggles directly in the notification bar wont be possible until some custom roms start showing up, but in the meantime you can get quick access to them through the notifcation bar using QuickSettings. Basically it just adds another tap compared to a more integrated solution

So, we now have some roms and an unlocked bootloader. Has anyone thought about implementing this idea or design into any of the ROMs? I haven't seen it but that doesn't mean its not out there already and I just missed it.
Here are some reference pics that I am wondering about:

that would be awesome, someone should put it into their ROM.
We have this on CM7.

Good to know, I haven't flashed cm7 on Atrix yet due to the lack of camera etc... I didn't see any ScreenShots of it so I just assumed it wasn't on there.
Hello. I'm looking for ROMs that have the ability to use the software buttons. Like this
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I use the AOKP Rom right now, but I would like to switch to a different one.
Sorry if this has been asked. Its 4am and I wanted to get this up so I can *hopefully* have an answer by morning.
I'm off to bed... thanks.

Any ROM with tablet mode will have them, it's part of tablet mode itself.
Can you guys make it so that there's a music shortcut in the lockscreen when the music is playing - like you'll find in Sense ROMs?
Bump.

you should probably just look around a little bit dude. check out my aokp rom thread. there are tons of icons/shortcuts you can add to the lockscreen.
I'm guessing that he means so you can pause/play from the homescreen.

Take note.
does touchwiz pull down on notification not give you music options? Don't have phone yet, just going off CM9 ICS options.

It does give you options in the notifications, but he wants to have the options on the lockscreen (I assume because you can't pull down the notification if your phone is locked by methods that are more secure than swipe to lock).

Actually, I have the standard lockscreen. But, it doesn't do it from the lock screen. It only does it when I'm using the phone with another app, not from unlocking the phone.
Hi!
So I normally do screenshots from my phone which I annotate with info I will need later on but of course with the Note 2 that was an Spen feature which I loved.
Anyone has suggestions on doing a similar thing with the Ultra? :good:
PS looks like Evernote could be my answer
While it may not be as simple as the Note's method..with their nifty S-Pen short cuts.
The ZU has this feature built into the Active Clip 'Small App / Widget'.
Tap the active windows button (Exposé / Super + W...whatever android calls it)
Click on the screenshot mini app
Click capture screen
Crop if needed
Click on the Sketch icon
Position the image
Click done,
Draw/write your heart out, baby cakes
Seems like a whole process to go through but it isn't.
Well well, that is Excellent!
yes is not quit the Spen option but darn good and exactly what I was hoping for.
Thanks a ton man!
Don't you have option for taking screenshots with combo "power+vol down"?
Or I misunderstood this question...

It's easier to press that combo, pull notification bar, select that screenshot and open in editor (if you need to edit) or share that picture from notification bar.

Even, I must admit, active clip is very good for that...
I'm using Tapatalk and every picture I'm uploading I can edit first so I use active clip very rare.
Tnx for reminding me for that

I used to use an app called gmd autohide softkeys. You can set it up any way you want. You'll need to disable the stock navbar. I figured ide better get used to some stock stuff cause everytime I get a new phone I have to use multiple apps to get it the way I like. Center clock is one of those things I can't live without.

I think the idea of that app is you be using the nav keys it creates on screen for you rather than the system ones.

I think there is an option to always show it. And it let's you use any spacing you want. Maybe play with it and see if you like it. There is a free version.
